The one thing I was always disappointed in Trump for was his ‘unbreakable bond’ with Israel and his son-in-law. Moving the capitol of Israel to Jerusalem only did more harm to any Middle East peace accord.

I’m not against protesting. I think it’s always good to speak your mind when you see corruption, especially in America…it is our right after all.
But anyone that thinks protests will stop the Jew World Order is just another useful idiot. By going to an empty government building and asking to have your freedom back is admitting that you think they have the power…

Johns Hopkins Researchers: Lockdowns Had Little Impact on COVID Deaths

Johns Hopkins University researchers say lockdowns in the U.S. and Europe had little to no impact in reducing COVID-19 deaths.
According to a new analysis of dozens of scientific studies, the lockdowns during the early phase of the pandemic in 2020 reduced COVID-19 mortality by about 0.2%.
“We find no evidence that lockdowns, school closures, border closures and limiting gatherings have had a noticeable effect on COVID-19 mortality,” the researchers wrote.
The lockdowns did have “devastating effects” on the economy, however, and contributed to numerous social ills, the paper noted.
“They have contributed to reducing economic activity, raising unemployment, reducing schooling, causing political unrest, contributing to domestic violence and undermining liberal democracy,” the researchers said.
“Such a standard benefit-cost calculation leads to a strong conclusion: Lockdowns should be rejected out of hand as a pandemic policy instrument,” the paper concluded.
Citing the recommendations of leading healthcare experts, 186 countries and many states imposed restrictions on work, socialization, in-person schooling and travel early on in the pandemic to curb the spread of the virus.
Researchers at the Imperial College London claimed that such measures could reduce death rates by up to 98%.
Researchers Steve Hanke, Jonas Herby, and Lars Jonung at Johns Hopkins say that never happened.
“Overall, we conclude that lockdowns are not an effective way of reducing mortality rates during a pandemic, at least not during the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic,” they wrote.
The researchers examined deaths early in the pandemic and found that, by May 20, 2020 — the end of the lockdown period studied — a total of 97,081 people had died of COVID-19 in the United States.
At the time, one study had projected 99,050 deaths without lockdowns.
Despite the overall findings, there was some evidence to indicate that closing bars helped reduce deaths, the researchers found.
“Closing nonessential businesses seems to have had some effect (reducing COVID-19 mortality by 10.6%), which is likely to be related to the closure of bars,” they said.
According to the researchers, the timing of lockdowns, and their unintended consequences, may play a larger role in affecting mortality than expected.
“Lockdowns have limited peoples’ access to safe (outdoor) places such as beaches, parks and zoos, or included outdoor mask mandates or strict outdoor gathering restrictions, pushing people to meet at less safe (indoor) places,” they wrote. “Indeed, we do find some evidence that limiting gatherings was counterproductive and increased COVID-19 mortality.”
Hanke is the founder and co-director of the Johns Hopkins Institute for Applied Economics, Global Health, and the Study of Business Enterprise. Herby is special adviser at Center for Political Studies in Copenhagen, Denmark. Jonung is professor emeritus in economics at Lund University, Sweden.

FDA Grants Full Approval of Moderna’s Spikevax COVID Vaccine — Another ‘Bait-and-Switch?’
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration on Monday granted full approval of Moderna’s Spikevax COVID vaccine for people 18 and older. Similar to the agency’s licensing last year of Pfizer’s Comirnaty vaccine, the approval raised a number of legal questions.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on Monday granted full approval of Moderna’s Spikevax COVID vaccine for people 18 and older.
Similar to the agency’s licensing last year of Pfizer’s Comirnaty vaccine, the approval raised a number of legal questions related to mandates and product availability.
Spikevax is a two-dose primary series, approved also for administration as part of a heterologous (“mix and match”) single booster dose for individuals who previously completed their original series of vaccinations with the Pfizer or Johnson & Johnson COVID vaccines.
According to the FDA, Spikevax “has the same formulation as the [Emergency Use Authorization (EUA)] Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine and … can be used interchangeably with the EUA Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine to provide the COVID-19 vaccination series.”
However, in its approval letter, the FDA said Spikevax is “legally distinct” from the Moderna EUA vaccine:
“The licensed vaccine has the same formulation as the EUA-authorized vaccine and the products can be used interchangeably to provide the vaccination series without presenting any safety or effectiveness concerns. The products are legally distinct with certain differences that do not impact safety or effectiveness.”
The FDA made the same distinction between the Pfizer-BioNTech EUA vaccine and the Pfizer Comirnaty vaccine, which the agency fully licensed in August, 2021, a move that raised questions about liability and the legality of vaccine mandates.
After Monday’s announcement, media outlets were quick to reassure the public the two Moderna vaccines are the same and that this was just a marketing ploy, where Moderna simply “rebranded” what is otherwise the same vaccine.
No ‘fully licensed’ COVID actually available
While Moderna’s Spikevax vaccine is now fully licensed, the original Moderna vaccine will remain under EUA. Indeed, the FDA on Jan. 7 reissued the EUA.
The FDA has also made it clear the Spikevax vaccine will not be available to the American public, announcing:
“Although SPIKEVAX (COVID-19 Vaccine, mRNA) and Comirnaty (COVID-19 Vaccine, mRNA) are approved to prevent COVID-19 in certain individuals within the scope of the Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine authorization, there is not sufficient approved vaccine available for distribution to this population in its entirety at the time of reissuance of this EUA.”
These claims parallel the chain of events that followed the FDA’s full approval of the Pfizer Comirnaty vaccine in August 2021.
At the time, Pfizer and the FDA claimed Comirnaty was not yet available, as there were sufficient stocks of the Pfizer-BioNTech EUA vaccine still available to be administered.
As of this writing, the FDA states, via its website, that Comirnaty products are “not orderable at this time.”
The FDA has not indicated when, or if, the Spikevax and Comirnaty vaccines will be available for distribution in the U.S.
Are EUA and fully licensed vaccines really interchangeable?
As reported by The Defender, there is a significant legal distinction between products authorized under EUA and those fully licensed by the FDA.
EUA products are experimental under U.S. law. Under the Nuremberg Code and federal regulations, no one can force a human being to participate in this experiment.
Specifically, under 21 U.S. Code Sec.360bbb-3(e)(1)(A)(ii)(III), “authorization for medical products for use in emergencies,” it is unlawful to deny someone a job or an education because they refuse to be an experimental subject. Instead, potential recipients have an absolute right to refuse EUA vaccines.
That’s an issue military members, unable to find any vaccination sites that offer the fully licensed Comirnaty vaccine, cited in various lawsuits challenging vaccine mandates.
Notably, on Nov. 12, 2021, a federal judge rejected an argument by the U.S. Department of Defense, in defending the military’s vaccine mandate, that the Pfizer Comirnaty and Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines are “interchangeable.”
U.S. law also requires the EUA designation be used only when “there is no adequate, approved and available alternative to the product for diagnosing, preventing or treating such disease or condition.”
This means that, in legal terms, all EUA products should be withdrawn once alternative products have received full approval.
Perhaps the most significant legal distinction, however, pertains to the legal protections afforded vaccine manufacturers, depending on how their product is classified.
Under the 2005 Public Readiness and Preparedness (PREP) Act, EUA-approved vaccines enjoy a significant liability shield. Specifically, vaccine manufacturers, distributors, providers, and government officials involved in the policymaking, approval, and distribution process are immune from any legal liability.
Under such regulations, the only way an injured party can sue is if he or she can prove willful misconduct, and if the U.S. government has also brought an enforcement action against the party for willful misconduct.
No such lawsuit has ever succeeded.
Conversely, fully licensed vaccines, such as Spikevax and Comirnaty, do not have a liability shield, and are instead subject to the same product liability laws as other products.
This means the Spikevax and Comirnaty vaccines could expose pharmaceutical companies to significant financial claims if individuals injured by the vaccines chose to sue the vaccine makers.
The rush to get COVID vaccines authorized for all ages — a ploy to avoid liability?
There’s another reason Pfizer and Moderna don’t want their fully licensed vaccines to be available yet — they’re waiting for the vaccines to be authorized, then licensed, for children as young as 6 months old.
Why? Because once a vaccine is fully licensed by the FDA, the only way its manufacturer can be shielded from legal liability is if the vaccine is added to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s childhood vaccination schedule.
The National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act (NCVIA), passed into law in 1986, provides a legal liability shield to drugmakers if they receive full authorization for all ages and the vaccine is added to the mandatory schedule.
Reporting on the FDA’s approval of Spikevax, investigative journalist Jordan Schachtel wrote:
“Are Pfizer and Moderna waiting for full authorization for children’s shots to distribute Comirnaty and Spikevax to the masses? There’s plenty of litigators who have suggested that this is exactly what is going on in Big Pharma world.”
By creating the public perception that the Pfizer and Moderna EUA vaccines are fully approved, businesses, schools and other institutions are emboldened to impose vaccine mandates that violate existing law and allow the vaccines to be administered without informed consent.
It has also been argued that by relabeling the product, any previous data regarding vaccine injuries and side effects identified in association with the EUA vaccine are not counted in the safety studies for the approved vaccine.
The FDA approval of the Pfizer Comirnaty vaccine, its subsequent lack of availability and the continued administration of the Pfizer-BioNTech EUA vaccine led Children’s Health Defense (CHD) to file a lawsuit against the FDA and its acting director, Dr. Janet Woodcock, for their allegedly deceptive and rushed approval of the Comirnaty vaccine, arguing that the approval represented a classic “bait and switch” tactic.
CHD further alleged in its lawsuit that the FDA violated federal law when it simultaneously licensed Pfizer’s Comirnaty vaccine and extended Pfizer’s EUA — as the agency has now done with Moderna and Spikevax — for a vaccine that has the “same formulation” and that “can be used interchangeably,” according to the FDA.
FDA admits no safety data for Spikevax use among pregnant women
Beyond the legal questions raised by the FDA’s approval this week of Spikevax, the approval also raises safety questions.
For instance, the FDA admitted Spikevax was insufficiently tested on pregnant women, stating that “[a]vailable data on SPIKEVAX administered to pregnant women are insufficient to inform vaccine-associated risks in pregnancy.”
Furthermore, Spikevax was approved without having been tested for its ability to provide protection against the Omicron variant, which is reported to account for 99.9% of current U.S. COVID cases — it was approved only for providing protection against mutations that are no longer circulating.
And yet, the FDA cited the Omicron variant as the reason behind its decision to pull its EUA for monoclonal antibody products. The FDA claims that these products have not been shown to provide protection against the Omicron variant.

Secondly, it’s time to repeal the 1986 Vaccine Injury Act which safeguards and indemnifies Big Pharma, allows the vaccine court to serve as legal gatekeeper blocking any legitimate lawsuits, and puts the burden of vaccine injuries and deaths on the American taxpayers’ shoulders in the rare cases that victims are actually awarded vaccine injury compensation, and forces the US Attorney General to defend Big Pharma’s against that of Main Street America.
Repeal the Act and hold Big Pharma fully responsible.

JEFFERSON CITY To the broader public, Donald Kauerauf’s first months as director of the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services appeared relatively free of controversy.
A former Illinois health official with three decades of experience who shared the anti-mandate views of Gov. Mike Parson, he forged good relationships across the state after he began work in September. Katie Towns, director of the Springfield-Greene County Health Department, told reporters on Wednesday he had been an “exceptionally good” partner.
But out of sight, frustration had simmered for months.
Anger directed early in the pandemic at lockdowns and mask orders — and more recently quarantines and vaccine mandates — converged this week on the acting health director. Hard-right opponents, driven in part by the conservative evangelical group Concerned Women for America and grassroots Republicans, including Jackson County GOP Chairman David Lightner, rallied against Kauerauf. The Conservative Caucus, a group of senators known for clashing with Parson and GOP leadership, took up their cause.
Republican senators took issue with his expressed desire to vaccinate 100% of Missourians against COVID-19. At least one pressed him on why he was even promoting the vaccine at all.
On Tuesday, Kauerauf resigned as it became clear his nomination had died in the Senate. In effectively ousting him, senators expanded the circle of what they consider unacceptable positions on the part of public health leaders. Wanting to inoculate an entire population against a contagious disease is now grounds for suspicion.
The consequences to Missouri’s pandemic response — which is overseen by DHSS — are only beginning to come into focus.
“If you called me tomorrow and asked me to apply for state health director position, not only would I not do it … anyone who was qualified and was being asked to take the position and wanted to talk with me ahead of time, I’d have to say, ‘Well, don’t move your family,’” said Rex Archer, a professor at Kansas City University who led the city’s health department for more than 20 years.
Anne Bloemke-Warren, a laboratory grants manager at the Missouri State Public Health Laboratory, wrote in a public Facebook post that she was “indescribably pissed” about the Senate’s failure to confirm Kauerauf, who she called an “all-around good guy.” Bloemke-Warren, who is a candidate for the Jefferson City Board of Education, wrote that she liked the direction Kauerauf was taking the department and “we wanted him around.”
“So, once again, the leading public health department in the state is without solid leadership during a global pandemic,” Bloemke-Warren wrote. “I can’t trust that his replacement will trust science since trusting science is what tanked Kauerauf’s confirmation.”
But Sen. Bob Onder, a Lake St. Louis Republican and caucus member, who called Kauerauf a “very slippery politician,” situated the confirmation fight within a larger, ongoing struggle over public health authority during the pandemic.
“And all of a sudden, they’ve had absolute control of our lives, our businesses, whether our kids get to go to school, whether we have to wear a piece of cloth over our face and whether an experimental use authorization vaccine can be required before you get to hold a job,” Onder told NewsTalkSTL.
‘100 PERCENT’ VACCINE COVERAGE
At Kauerauf’s confirmation hearing on Monday, Sen. Mike Moon, an Ash Grove Republican and congressional candidate, led the skeptical questioning. He wanted to know about whether Kauerauf’s wife, Judy Kauerauf, communicable disease section chief at Illinois Department of Public Health, had been involved in developing an app that Republicans feared was essentially a vaccine passport. He probed Kauerauf on his contention that he is “pro-life.”
And he zeroed in on Kauerauf’s past comments. “The goal of public health vaccination programs is to achieve 100 percent coverage,” Kauerauf told St. Louis Magazine in October.
In the magazine interview, he immediately followed that comment by saying: “However, for the COVID vaccination initiative, our goal is to ensure that everyone who has considered getting vaccinated has the opportunity to do so.”
About 64% of Missouri adults are fully vaccinated (two doses of Pfizer or Moderna or one dose of Johnson and Johnson), according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Nationwide, 74% of adults are fully vaccinated. Kauerauf on Monday told Senators he’d like to see Missouri achieve a 75% vaccination rate.
Kauerauf defended public health authorities in other ways that bothered conservatives.
In September, he told reporters a new law subjecting local health orders to elected officials’ approval “haunts” him. He urged against the politicization of public health, telling St. Louis Public Radio in November, “when we question the expertise of public health officials, that’s I think where we cross the line.” Though he said he was firmly against mandates, he insisted to lawmakers that masks work to prevent the spread of COVID.
An analysis conducted by DHSS in November found mask mandates had been effective, Kauerauf wrote in an email reported by the Missouri Independent. The analysis wasn’t disclosed publicly until the Independent reported on it in December.
He also unsuccessfully asked Attorney General Eric Schmitt to appeal a Cole County court ruling that stripped power from local departments to issue disease control orders. And he came from Illinois, where Democratic Gov. J.B. Pritzker had issued much more stringent COVID response measures than Parson.
Moon said in an interview Wednesday that he began hearing concerns over Kauerauf’s nomination sometime last fall, but opposition from the grassroots ballooned in the past week.
“I think [Kauerauf’s comments on vaccinations] was part of it,” Moon said of the initial skepticism. “And then because he was from Illinois and their public health department, that was a red flag in many people’s minds.”
Kauerauf last worked in the Illinois Department of Public Health in 2018. During the COVID-19 pandemic he advised the emergency management department as chair of the Illinois Terrorism Task Force. He declined to say at Moon’s urging whether Illinois or Missouri had a better pandemic response — suggesting that such an assessment could only be made “years from now” — but praised Parson’s approach.
Following the hearing on Monday, Kauerauf’s nomination never made it to the full Senate. The General Assembly adjourned for the week early because of an impending snow storm, even though the Missouri Constitution required action on the nomination by Friday or he would be banned from the job of DHSS director for life.
Parson had ways around the deadline. He could have withdrawn Kauerauf’s nomination, then reappointed him or made him a deputy director, which wouldn’t require Senate confirmation.
Instead, shortly before 6 p.m. Tuesday Parson announced Kauerauf had resigned.
For now, DHSS general counsel Richard Moore is leading the agency. The governor’s office said Tuesday Parson “will further evaluate the state’s options in the coming days.”
Kauerauf didn’t respond to a call on Wednesday. Parson’s office didn’t immediately release a resignation letter.
John Lumpkin, a former director of the Illinois Department of Public Health who had worked with Kauerauf, said his entry into public health was like a “fish to water.” Kauerauf cares about people and is dedicated, he said.
“It really saddens me because, really, managing this epidemic and responding and protecting the public’s health should rise above politics,” Lumpkin said.
FALLING GOP SUPPORT
While Moon was Kauerauf’s most prominent opponent in the Senate, interviews suggest his support was flagging well beyond the Conservative Caucus.
“My concern was his concepts on having a goal of 100 percent vaccination,” said Sen. Bill White, a Joplin Republican and the assistant majority leader.
The vote would have been “close” if the nomination had gone to the floor, Senate Majority Leader Caleb Rowden, a Columbia Republican, said.
Republican leaders knew there was opposition, he said, but hadn’t gone as far as figuring out exactly what the vote count would be.
Democrats did not appear to have complaints about Kauerauf. If all 10 Democratic senators voted in his favor, only a third of the chamber’s 24 Republicans would have needed to vote yes to confirm him.
Senate Minority Leader John Rizzo, an Independence Democrat, said Kauerauf – who believes masks work and is pro-vaccine – had been a “softball” for the Conservative Caucus.
“The guy answered the questions right. But at that point the die had been cast, that he was some deep-state, socialist, whatever,” Rizzo said. “The guy could have given the cure for cancer and it wouldn’t have mattered.”

Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds to End COVID-19 Emergency Declaration in the State – Will Deal with COVID-19 the Same as Flu

Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds announced on Thursday that she will allow the “public health disaster emergency proclamation” to expire on February 15, 2022.
The emergency proclamation was first issued on March 17, 2020, to authorize health mitigation measures during the early state of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We cannot continue to suspend duly enacted laws and treat COVID-19 as a public health emergency indefinitely. After two years, it’s no longer feasible or necessary. The flu and other infectious illnesses are part of our everyday lives, and coronavirus can be managed similarly,” stated Gov. Reynolds.
“State agencies will now manage COVID-19 as part of normal daily business, and reallocate resources that have been solely dedicated to the response effort to serve other important needs for Iowans,” the governor said in a statement.
The state’s two websites that track COVID-19 data will now be decommissioned on February 16, 2022.
