We’ve just about beaten Covid!
The Pandemic is on the near verge of coming to an end!
Delta and Omicron and the not entirely ending variants forever thereafter will be blessed by the boundless boosters!
We can be somewhere in the ball bark of becoming somewhat nearly normal again!
Like a breath of stagnant stale air, Rachel Levine will come on CNN with Wolf Blizter split screen, and declare that regular life is closely in the vicinity of being just about a touch trans-cultural again.
“Kids can go back to school,” she, I mean, he, Rachel Levine, will flap, “and children will have a chance without double masks to choose what gender they want to be.”
Moms and Dads will breathe sighs of relief that at last life as they once griped about is for all intents and purposes somewhere within sight.
Girls can be boys, and boys can be girls once again.
And this time Covid won’t get in the way since every child will be boosted by blood-hemorrhaging mRNAs.
Soon Jacob Tapper of Jew-run CNN will get Merrick Garland on his show.
Garland will reveal that his Jewish son-in-law, Xan Tanner, is pleased to see every child back in school to learn how hateful White people can be.
“We’re coming ’round to the norm,’ Jakey boy will beguile, while Merrick forces his perpetual scowl into a hyped up smile.
“Now that boosters are here to stay,” Jake will slobber away, “we can effectively defeat White Supremacy.”

When very recently, Pfizer and Moderna came up with pills as an option to the jab, this told me it’s their escape hatch, their putting distance between what they’ve done and themselves by muddying the issue of whether it was voluntary or not by the option of a pill or a jab.
In early 2021, I took both vaccinations because I feared the original virus more than that the vaccine’s adverse side-effects.
But now, a year later, I fear the adverse side-effects of the booster shot more than I fear the virulence of the Omicron strain.
So I will not take the booster until the government makes it mandatory lest I lose my benefits, i.e. rent vouchers, food stamps, energy assistance, etc.

During a TV interview with a stand-in host of the Rachel Maddow Show on MSNBC Dr. Anthony Fauci made a stunning statement.
Fauci essentially said that when it comes to exposure and quarantine if you are double vaccinated against covid but not boosted you will be treated as having the same risk as someone who is not vaccinated at all.
Maddow’s stand-in host Ayman Mohyeldin asked Fauci “If you have been exposed to the Coronavirus and need to quarantine, there is a different guidance for people who are vaccinated and boosted than for the unvaccinated. But if you are infected and need to isolate, the recommendations don’t change depending on whether you are vaccinated or not. Can you explain that for us?”
The highest paid civil servant in the Biden administration Dr. Anthony Fauci then made his jaw-dropping claim “Yeah. If you are infected, you are infected. Whether or not you are vaccinated or not vaccinated, you are infected. When you talk about exposure and quarantine, if you are a person who is vaccinated but not boosted, versus a person who is not vaccinated because of the greater degree of protection that you would have gotten from being boosted, they are treating people who are vaccinated but not boosted as the same risk as those who are not vaccinated at all.”

Dr. McDonald gives very practical advice for how to deal with someone who is so addicted to their fear of COVID that they can’t, and purposely won’t listen to reason, much to the frustration of many of us trying to get through to them. Bottom line, they aren’t reachable with any quantity and quality of data and reason.

He also gives advice on what to look for in someone gripped by fear-porn who could be reachable, who is questioning, perhaps a sudden awakening after tragedy has happened to family or someone they know after getting vaxxecuted.

Kennedy’s speech is fine. He has no speech impediment per se. He doesn’t stutter or stumble over his words, and articulates quite well.
What he does have is spasmodic dysphonia, a neurological disorder that affects the muscles in the voice box. It started setting in about 20 years ago.
I read somewhere else that his dysphonia is better in the afternoon, and he vocalizes more clearly than in the morning when the vocal chord muscles are more spasmodic. Maybe because the vocal muscles are warmed up.

I congratulate you on getting over your fear well enough to commit to resisting any more booster jabs, and working past all the fear-porn and lies to inform yourself on the truth.
When it comes to being dependent on the social safety net benefits, as low income and elderly, I’m in the same boat. However, our federal benefits and the amounts are passed by Congress and state legislatures, so it would take legislative acts of same to impose penalties for refusing jab mandates ordered by the Executive Branch, even Joe Stolen (or more accurately, the jewish medical tyranny cabal inside the White House).
He could try to submit a bill to Congress demanding that mandatory jabs be tied to benefits — no jab, no monthly check or EBT, no Medicare payments — but that won’t fly very far at all in the legislative process.
Nothing is unimaginable anymore after the past two insane years, but I just don’t see that happening. AARP and many of the associations advocating for the poor and disabled requiring benefit assistance would be knocking on a lot of our congress-critters doors.
However, I did spend the past year gradually building up a little food security for myself, since it’s far more likely the economy and banking system will wobble, collapse or go berserk rather than having my personal federal and state benefits directly cut off by Joe Stolen’s diktat for refusing to be vaxxecuted.

A Front Line Covid Critical Care Alliance (FLCCC) video showing how to make a simple over-the-counter nasal rinse and gargle has been gaining new attention since Dr. Peter McCullough, MD mentioned the treatment in a recent interview with Joe Rogan.
Dr. McCullough noted a study that found the treatment 92 percent effective against COVID-19. What’s more, President Donald Trump, it turns out was also right about bleach.
The FLCCC released this video on its website showing, Julia Child-style, how to mix the simple recipe that costs pennies and has been used with great effect in Bangladesh.

Dr. McCullough writes it can be done prophylactically twice a day, four times per day if a person is already exposed.
After three days, 279 of 303 Covid-positive patients in the study, 92 percent, tested negative, Dr. McCullough told Rogan. By day seven, that number rose to over 97 percent. The patients received no other treatment or medication.
Dr. McCullough explained the simple treatment, which kills COVID-19 where it lives, in a now famous interview with podcaster and social influencer Joe Rogan (beginning at min 39:25; transcript available here).
“Virtually anything kills the virus. Any disinfectant kills the virus. Iodine kills it on contact,” Dr. McCullough said. “So, we use dilute betadine . . . over the counter. It’s a brown bottle. We use it to sterilize wounds in the ER.
“You can buy it at any pharmacy. Take two teaspoons and 6 oz of water. Take a nasal spray or a spring bulb and spray it up your nose to the back of your throat and spit it out.
“I’m sorry that’s gross for your audience. But you’ve got to get it up there and back. That adequately decontaminates the nose. Gargle with the rest of it. Spit it out. Finish up with some Scope or Listerine.”
He added that people can do this as a preventative “after you return from a day out with people, especially close contact in close rooms — I’m talking restrooms, small conference rooms.
“You have to be in contact with someone for about three hours, honestly, in a small room with no airflow to get in, or go into a loaded room like a public restroom, or tight places like small stores. The bottom line, that’s where you get it from.”
Referring to former President Trump, Dr. McCullough continued:
And believe it or not, dentists in the American Dental Association guidelines use [for various viruses] sodium hypochlorite, that is essentially dilute bleach. It turns out it just takes a few drops of bleach in some household water — that’s for the mouth, we typically don’t use it in the nose or around the eyes.
But remember when President Trump mentioned bleach and everyone had a big horse laugh about that? . . . Someone was giving him the ADA recommendations for antiviral therapy for the mouth.
Dr. McCullough also reiterated the value of oral therapeutics that are being used around the world outside of the United States, Europe, Canada, and Australia.
“Ivermectin is now first line in Japan,” where Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. reports they suffered only 6.5 percent the rate of death as in the U.S., at 139 deaths per million versus 2107 deaths per million reported in America.
It is “attributed to crushing the curves in Mexico, in Peru, absolutely crushed the curves in India. We have been in close communication with them. I use it every day in my practice,” he continued.
“It is safe. It is effective. There’s been a Nobel prize awarded in 2015 for ivermectin. But HCQ I think worldwide is still the leading drug used to treat COVID-19 just because of its availability, its known dosing.”
He emphasized the importance of doctors using drugs in combination to fight the virus:
“We know that because we carried out studies. We did one with Proctor, here in Dallas-Ft. Worth, where we demonstrated that even the early primordial protocols, before the monoclonal antibodies, when we used drugs in combination, were associated with 85% reductions in hospitalizations and deaths, compared with fair comparator groups.
“For death we used the tri-county area of DFW, age adjusted. And for hospitalization we used the Cleveland Clinic calculator, which is a very precise estimate of the risk of hospitalization.
“Then simultaneously, Derwand and Zelenko showed that from the New York data and Didier from Marseilles, France. So, we have three different areas showing early, multi-drug therapy as an outpatient works substantially, and we have had a giant loss of life, a giant number, millions and millions of unnecessary hospitalizations.
“I testified in the U.S. Senate, November 19th, 2020. I told Americans, under oath, that 50% of the lives at that time could have been saved — we were at about 250,000 deaths — based on what I knew. I then testified on March 10, 2021 in the Texas senate. Sworn testimony. I upped that to 85 percent of the deaths could have been avoided.”
He also mentioned the drug Favipiravir approved in Japan, Russia, and four states in India, which he said is very similar to the new drug Molnupiravir.
The good news for 2022 is that with growing awareness of such simple, safe, effective, and inexpensive treatments, it looks like the New Year should be a much different one for the pandemic.

Deaths among working-age Americans are up a chilling 40%, according to OneAmerica CEO Scott Davison.
“What we saw just in third quarter, we’re seeing it continue into fourth quarter, is that death rates are up 40% over what they were pre-pandemic,” Davison said in a virtual news conference just before the New Year.
“We are seeing, right now, the highest death rates we have seen in the history of this business – not just at OneAmerica.”
The increased death are occurring almost exclusively among “working-age people 18 to 64.”
Davison told viewers, “Just to give you an idea of how bad that is, a three-sigma or a one-in-200-year catastrophe would be 10% increase over pre-pandemic.”
“40% is just unheard of,” he concluded.
Your typical Mainstream Media or government-issued report (is there still a difference?) hypes the number of positive test results, even though not everyone gets tested and test results can show positive even when someone just has a regular flu bug. What Davison is looking at for his numbers are the life insurance actuarial tables that can make or break his business.
So my first thought, when I saw a life insurance CEO saying that working-age deaths are up by 40%, was that it’s literally his business to know the facts.
As Dr. Robert Malone put it — on Substack, following his Twitter ban — this “is a nuclear truth bomb masquerading as an insurance agent’s dry manila envelope full of actuarial tables.”
It’s only the third day of January but I’m already picking this one for Most Chilling Story of the Year.
Actually, I take that back — if I’ve learned anything these last two years, it’s not to tempt the fates.
Last week, the Indiana Department of Health reported 12,020 new COVID cases on Thursday alone, and that’s a record. But there were only 48 COVID-related deaths, about a third less than the last time the caseload was this high.
“What the data is showing to us is that the deaths that are being reported as COVID deaths greatly understate the actual death losses among working-age people from the pandemic,” Davison said. “It may not all be COVID on their death certificate, but deaths are up just huge, huge numbers.”

This headline is a nuclear truth bomb masquerading as an insurance agent’s dry manila envelope full of actuarial tables.

People frequently write to Jill and myself. People we have never met. They call, they arrive at the farm by appointment or unannounced, they fill our email in boxes with their inquiries.
They all want something; time, attention, an interview. Many want to tell us about their fear, illness, nightmares, or (what often seems like) outright paranoid conspiracies. And then, over time, these fears and “conspiracies” keep getting confirmed.
As Jan Jekielek (a senior editor with The Epoch Times) recently said to me, it is getting harder and harder to tell which ones are mere conspiracy theories and which are true reality.
One farm visitor told me of his foreshadowing massive numbers of deaths within three years consequent to the genetic vaccines, and that this was all about the “Great Reset” and the depopulation agenda of the World Economic Forum (WEF).
I tried to reassure him that, in my opinion, this was highly unlikely- while privately thinking about how easily people fall into this type of conspiracy ideation, and how I need to be careful to avoid going there when confronting so many public health decisions that appear either incompetent or nefarious.
At the time, I only knew of the WEF as the host of a big annual party in Davos Switzerland where the uber rich and the hoi oligoi of the Western nations went to watch Ted talks, drink the best wine, see and be seen. Silly me.
What a long, strange trip this has been. I doubt that even Hunter S. Thompson could have imagined it in his most drug and booze addled state. Suffice to say, I nominate Ralph Steadman as official illustrator of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic. Or a resurrected Hieronymus Bosch.
But I am wandering from a point that I am afraid to clearly state.
It is starting to look to me like the largest experiment on human beings in recorded history has failed. And, if this rather dry report from a senior Indiana life insurance executive holds true, then Reiner Fuellmich’s “Crimes against Humanity” push for convening new Nuremberg trials starts to look a lot less quixotic and a lot more prophetic.
Here is what lit me up in this report from The Center Square contributor Margaret Menge.
“The head of Indianapolis-based insurance company OneAmerica said the death rate is up a stunning 40% from pre-pandemic levels among working-age people.
“We are seeing, right now, the highest death rates we have seen in the history of this business – not just at OneAmerica,” the company’s CEO Scott Davison said during an online news conference this week. “The data is consistent across every player in that business.”
OneAmerica is a $100 billion insurance company that has had its headquarters in Indianapolis since 1877. The company has approximately 2,400 employees and sells life insurance, including group life insurance to employers in the state.
Davison said the increase in deaths represents “huge, huge numbers,” and that’s it’s not elderly people who are dying, but “primarily working-age people 18 to 64” who are the employees of companies that have group life insurance plans through OneAmerica.
“And what we saw just in third quarter, we’re seeing it continue into fourth quarter, is that death rates are up 40% over what they were pre-pandemic,” he said.

So, what is driving this unprecedented surge in all-cause mortality?

AT A MINIMUM, based on my reading, one has to conclude that if this report holds and is confirmed by others in the dry world of life insurance actuaries, we have both a huge human tragedy and a profound public policy failure of the US Government and US HHS system to serve and protect the citizens that pay for this “service”.
IF this holds true, then the genetic vaccines so aggressively promoted have failed, and the clear federal campaign to prevent early treatment with lifesaving drugs has contributed to a massive, avoidable loss of life.
AT WORST, this report implies that the federal workplace vaccine mandates have driven what appear to be a true crime against humanity. Massive loss of life in (presumably) workers that have been forced to accept a toxic vaccine at higher frequency relative to the general population of Indiana.

Dr. Robert Malone’s assertions about “mass formation psychosis” in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic are underscored by the fact that authorities in the UK admitted to using “totalitarian” methods of “mind control” to instill fear in the population.
In Canada, the military also admitted launching a psychological operations campaign against their own people in order to manipulate them into compliance with COVID-19 restrictions and mandates.

As first revealed by author and journalist Laura Dodsworth, scientists in the UK working as advisors for the government admitted using what they now admit to be “unethical” and “totalitarian” methods of instilling fear in the population in order to control behaviour during the pandemic.
The London Telegraph reported the comments made by Members of the Scientific Pandemic Influenza Group on Behaviour (SPI-B), a sub-committee of the Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (Sage) the government’s chief scientific advisory group.
The report quotes a briefing from March 2020, as the first lockdown was decreed, that stated the government should drastically increase “the perceived level of personal threat” that the virus poses because “a substantial number of people still do not feel sufficiently personally threatened”.
One scientist with the SPI-B admits that “In March [2020] the Government was very worried about compliance and they thought people wouldn’t want to be locked down. There were discussions about fear being needed to encourage compliance, and decisions were made about how to ramp up the fear.”
The unnamed scientist adds that “The way we have used fear is dystopian.”
The scientist further confessed that “The use of fear has definitely been ethically questionable. It’s been like a weird experiment. Ultimately, it backfired because people became too scared.”
Another separate scientist on the subcommittee professed “You could call psychology ‘mind control’. That’s what we do… clearly we try and go about it in a positive way, but it has been used nefariously in the past.”
Another scientist warned that “We have to be very careful about the authoritarianism that is creeping in,” adding “people use the pandemic to grab power and drive through things that wouldn’t happen otherwise.”
According to the report, another researcher with the group acknowledged that “Without a vaccine, psychology is your main weapon,” adding that “Psychology has had a really good epidemic, actually.”
Yet another scientist on the subcommittee stated that they have been “stunned by the weaponisation of behavioural psychology” over the past year, and warned that “psychologists didn’t seem to notice when it stopped being altruistic and became manipulative.”
“They have too much power and it intoxicates them”, the scientist further warned.
In addition to the UK government’s response, it was also revealed that the Canadian military launched a psychological operations program against their own citizens in the early days of the pandemic order to amplify government messaging and “head off civil disobedience.”
“Canadian military leaders saw the pandemic as a unique opportunity to test out propaganda techniques on an unsuspecting public,” reported the Ottawa Citizen.
Meanwhile, following early efforts to bury the term altogether, Google is now desperately rigging its search results to return only negative articles about “mass formation psychosis” and Dr. Malone.

It is a legitimate question to raise because there are still some patriots serving within the ranks of the FBI who are beyond distraught over the gross politicization of their once proud, respected organization.

Pelosi and Schumer just led a candlelight prayer vigil on the Capitol steps marking the anniversary of the unarmed armed insurrection and assault on their holy “Temple of Democracy™,” hosted by the Office of the Speaker of the House, Her Imperious Majesty, Queen Pelosi.
It came complete with the Capitol flag shown flying at half-mast, even though no one of the Capitol and Metro Police, nor any of the Congress members or staff, were killed that day during the unarmed “armed insurrection”.
Let us not forget that no one currently arrested and imprisoned in the American Gulag as a political prisoner by the Commissar of the American NKVD, Merrick Garland, has ever been charged for either being armed on Capitol grounds or for insurrection, sedition, or treason.
The only persons who died that day were Deplorables, two, and perhaps four, who died violently at the hands of the Capitol and Metro Police officers.
The Capitol steps vigil began with a prayer by The Most Rev. Michael Bruce Curry, Presiding Bishop and Primate, Chief Pastor and President and Chief Executive Officer, and Chair of the Executive Council of The [Woke] Episcopal Church.
A moment of silence was led by House Speaker Queen Nancy Pelosi with a couple of performances. One performance was sung by a master sargeant from “The President’s Own Marine Band” who sang “My Country ‘Tis of Thee”.
Pelosi picked this piece for a subtle allusion which liberal Blacks & BLM would understand — besides being a popular national schoolhouse song for many generations of school children since the early 1800s, the words were recited back in 1963 by Martin Luther King, Jr during his “I Have A Dream” speech during the Civil Rights Movement Era.
Queen Pelosi, the high priestess of Our Temple of Democracy™ surrounded by a very small sea of vigil candles on the steps held by her subjects– er, colleagues, piously intoned (complete with Freudian slips?):

After Queen Pelosi’s little speech, the perfunctory “God Bless America” written in 1918, revised in 1938, by Russian-American Jew Irving Berlin (b. Unless she’s speaking about the four Deplorables who died that day, no one who “defended the Capitol” was killed or succumbed later from any sustained chemical or physical injuries that day, particularly the five cops who subsequently died after the riot was over.
One officer was determined by the medical examiner to have died from natural causes the same evening after the incident, and four subsequently by suicide after January 6 — two just days after, and two 6 months later.
An autopsy revealed that Sicknick, who died hours after the Capitol riot, suffered two strokes at the base of the brain stem caused by two blood clots.
Chief Medical Examiner Francisco Diaz stated in April, 2021, that the autopsy found no evidence that Sicknick experienced an allergic reaction to chemical irritants. He also said there was no evidence of either external or internal injuries, thus refuting the MSM lie that Officer Sicknick was struck by a fire extinguisher.
What this does make me ponder is if Officer Sicknick, an otherwise healthy 43-year old man, was a very early victim of the ClotShot, jabbed only a couple of weeks after the jabs were given EUA’s by the FDA.
With no disrespect meant or aspersions cast on the following police officers whose later deaths may be related to traumatic stress they suffered, the fact is, they did NOT die on January 6 from any direct assault by the small minority of violent actors among the protesters:
DC Metro Officer Jeffrey Smith, a 12-year-veteran, had killed himself in the days after the Jan. 6 riots.
Capitol Police Officer Howard Liebengood died by suicide three days after the attack.
DC Officer Kyle deFreytag was found dead July 10, 2021, determined to be suicide.
DC Officer Gunther Hashida was found dead on July 29, 2021, also determined to be suicide.
An underwhelming number of members of the House and Senate attended Pelosi’s unconvincing political drama. No more than 50 out of 635 members of Congress that I can count stood on the Capitol steps for this photo op.
That it was clearly a propaganda photo op ginned up by Pelosi at the last minute it seems, was accidentally revealed at the end while the camera was still rolling capturing at first indistinct conversations.
Then some member of the press anonymously said, “Short and sweet. That’s how we like it.” A second person agrees, saying, “Umhum. All events should be like that.” Then the first person says, “So we get the zero heads up.”

In two speeches that were a toxic mix of hysteria, downright lies, and ridiculous exaggerations, dementia-addled President Biden and his India-first sidekick, Vice President Kamala Harris, told the world that the the mostly peaceful protest at the U.S. Capitol a year ago today threatened the very existence of the country.
The mostly peaceful protesters assaulted the Constitution, Biden said.
They assaulted the “will of the people.”
They held the American people at knifepoint … at the “throat.”
More egregiously, former President Trump and the GOP want to “suppress the vote.”
The mostly peaceful protest on January 6 last year was the gravest threat to the nation’s safety and security since the sneak attack on Pearl Harbor, Harris said. It was akin to the 9/11 terror attacks.
The question isn’t whether Biden and Harris lied, but whether any two politicians have lied with such impunity.
Biden’s Bilge
“Democracy was attacked — simply attacked,” Biden said:
The will of the people was under assault. The Constitution — our Constitution — faced the gravest of threats.
Outnumbered and in the face of a brutal attack, the Capitol Police, the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department, the National Guard, and other brave law enforcement officials saved the rule of law.
Our democracy held. We the people endured. And we the people prevailed.
For the first time in our history, a president had not just lost an election, he tried to prevent the peaceful transfer of power as a violent mob breached the Capitol.
President Trump did no such thing, but demonizing Trump and his supporters was the order of the day.
After a few words about Abraham Lincoln and Clio, the Greek muse of history, Biden cited the Bible’s admonition that “the truth will make us free.”
The Bible also says “thou shalt not murder,” an injunction the pro-abortion president has apparently missed in all his scripture studies. But leave that aside. Biden regaled listeners with his rendition of what happened on January 6, 2021.

Biden called what he described “the God’s truth,” then detailed the acts of the few violent protesters, some of them leftist agitators.
“This wasn’t a group of tourists,” Biden continued. “This was an armed insurrection.”
In fact, the FBI did not recover any firearms from the mostly peaceful protesters or the few who turned violent, as the words “armed insurrection” suggest.
But “we must be absolutely clear about what is true and what is a lie,” Biden continued:
“And here is the truth: The former president of the United States of America has created and spread a web of lies about the 2020 election. He’s done so because he values power over principle, because he sees his own interests as more important than his country’s interests and America’s interests, and because his bruised ego matters more to him than our democracy or our Constitution.
“He can’t accept he lost, even though that’s what 93 United States senators, his own Attorney General, his own Vice President, governors and state officials in every battleground state have all said: He lost.
“That’s what 81 million of you did as you voted for a new way forward.
“He has done what no president in American history — the history of this country — has ever, ever done: He refused to accept the results of an election and the will of the American people.
“And so, at this moment, we must decide: What kind of nation are we going to be?
“Are we going to be a nation that accepts political violence as a norm?”
Five years ago, Biden wasn’t worried about “political violence” or those who “refused to accept the results of an election and the will of the American people.” On January 20, 2017, communist rioters rampaged through Washington, D.C., burning and pillaging. Congressmen challenged Trump’s victory over Hillary Clinton.

Nor were Biden and Harris worried when enraged protesters swarmed into the Hart Senate Office building during the confirmation proceedings of U.S. Supreme Court Associate Justice Brett Kavanaugh. They didn’t come here out of patriotism or principle. They came here in rage — not in service of America, but rather in service of one man.
Those who incited the mob — the real plotters — who were desperate to deny the certification of the election and defy the will of the voters.
Having denounced the “Big Lies” from Trump and his supporters, Biden blatantly lied about GOP efforts to ensure ballot security with Voter ID.
“Right now, in state after state, new laws are being written — not to protect the vote, but to deny it; not only to suppress the vote, but to subvert it; not to strengthen or protect our democracy, but because the former president lost,” Biden said:
“Instead of looking at the election results from 2020 and saying they need new ideas or better ideas to win more votes, the former president and his supporters have decided the only way for them to win is to suppress your vote and subvert our elections.

On Sunday, November 8, St. Alfred, King of the Anglo-Saxons from 886 until his death in 899, was liturgically commemorated at Holy Apostles Church in Beltsville, Maryland, a parish of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia.
It was “perhaps the first Orthodox parish in North America to celebrate the commemoration of Holy Right-Believing Alfred, King of England,” reports the Eastern American Diocese of ROCOR.
On August 21, 2007, the Holy Synod of the Russian Church officially approved the veneration of all the saints who shone forth in the lands of Britain and Ireland, blessing the annual celebration of their memory on the third Sunday after Pentecost. This feast is in honor of all the saints who lived in England, Ireland, Wales and Scotland until 1054, including St. Alfred, known as “the Great.”
The Divine Liturgy was celebrated by Archpriest George Johnson and his son and assistant priest Fr. Christopher Johnson. Due to pandemic restrictions, the service was held outdoors, with 69 people present, including visitors from several other parishes.
“We hope that with our veneration of him we can begin to draw more Orthodox attention to this holy king, so that more and more of us can humbly ask his holy prayers before the Throne of the King of kings,” the parish said.
Following the Divine Liturgy, a moleben to St. Alfred was served, with a supplicatory prayer composed by Fr. Christopher:

The Eastern American Diocese provides details of his life worth emulating:
St. Alfred (born 849) was King of Wessex from 886 until his death on October 26 899. He was the fifth son of his father, Æthelwulf, and never expected to become king. He loved learning and loved the Lord Jesus Christ, and most likely looked forward to a life of contemplation in the Church. Such was not to be his fate.
He was thrust into kingship at the age of 22, during a time of near-constant serious threat from the heathen Viking Danes. Through much hardship and wise preparation, he defeated Guthrum the Dane in a decisive battle, ending the Viking threat for many years.
As a term of the surrender, Guthrum received Holy Baptism as Æthelstan, along with 30 of his jarls (Danish noblemen), with Alfred himself standing as godfather to Guthrum and his men. This is an example of the justice and mercy of the saint, as he showed care for the souls of not only his own people, but his former enemies.
When he was finally able to rule in peace, he began a program of education, requiring that all of his Thegns and Aldermen (nobility) learn to read and write, and that all freemen of England teach their sons the same.
He personally translated Boethius’ “Consolation of Philosophy” and St. Gregory’s “On Pastoral Care,” among many other books, and had them propagated throughout his land, spreading the light of holy knowledge to all his people.

“Preserve the Narrative”: The Public Rejects the “Insurrection” Claim in New Polling

In the day long events commemorating January 6th, Speaker Nancy Pelosi made a telling statement to her fellow members and the public at large. Pelosi declared “It is essential that we preserve the narrative of January 6th.” Part of that narrative is that this was not a riot but an “insurrection,” an actual “rebellion” against our country.
Pelosi’s concern over the viability of that narrative is well-based as shown by a recent CBS News poll. The majority of the public does not believe that this was an “insurrection” despite the mantra-like repetition of members of Congress and the media. The public saw that terrible day unfold a year ago and saw it for what it was: a protest that became a riot. (For full disclosure, I previously worked as a legal analyst for CBS News).
Not surprisingly, the poll received little comparative coverage on a day when reporters and commentators spoke of “the insurrection” as an undeniable fact. Yet, when CBS asked Americans, they received an answer that likely did not please many. Indeed, CBS did not highlight the answer to the question of whether the day was really a “protest that went too far.” The answer was overwhelming and nonpartisan. Some 76% believe that this was a protest that went too far.
That, however, was not one of the four options to the matinee question featured by CBS. It did not allow the public to call this a riot when it asked them to describe “What happened at the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021?” Why? There was the ever present “insurrection” and “trying to overthrow government.” However, the other two options were “patriotism” or “defending freedom.”
That is perfectly bizarre. The most obvious alternatives to an actual rebellion in a violent clash would be a protest or a riot. However, the public was simply not given those options.
The result was predictable. Some 85% of Democrats dutifully checked “an insurrection” or “trying to overthrow government” while only 21% and 18% of Republicans agreed respectively. For those who did not see the riot as an act of patriotism or defending freedom, they were simply left without a choice.
The poll perfectly captured the state of our media. There is no choice. Using the term insurrection is now a litmus test.

Officer Evans is officially listed on the Officer Down Memorial Page for the Year 2021 as having died in the line of duty in April, 2021. The other three officers which Pelosi falsely stated died on January 6, are not listed as line-of-duty deaths.
