Why I Believe In Jesus Christ

    About +BN @ http://www.brothernathanaelfoundation.org/pics/BNAffirm.png

I grew up as a Jew and attended Sabbath School at an early age.

We studied the Torah, Talmud, and the Siddur, (Jewish prayers), but I always felt something was missing.

At the same time, I felt a strong attraction to Jesus Christ.

For in the Fifties the general culture still had a strong Christian component.

Like many Jews, I loved Christmas Carols, and this fueled my interest in Jesus Christ.

I often wondered, what happens when we die?

I asked my rabbi for an answer and all I got back was, “We Jews live through our children.”

This left me high and dry. I asked another rabbi who said, “All Jews have a holy nefesh,” that is, soul, “and are destined for eternal life.”

But how could this be? I knew of Jews who were cheats and addicted to pornography. Nothing holy in their ‘nefeshes’ for sure.

With half-baked answers, I came to the conclusion that Judaism was bankrupt. The rabbis simply couldn’t answer serious questions.

And they certainly can’t deal with questions about Jesus Christ.

[Clip: “How can I help you?”

“Well, we’re looking for an honest response to the teachings of Jesus.”

“Yashka, ok. Let me explain to you. An honest response. The man you call Yashka, this guy…”]

    Stop there.

What kind of ‘honest response’ could possibly follow when the rabbi starts by bad-mouthing Jesus?

You see, Talmudic Jews won’t say the holy name of “Yeshua,” “Jesus,” but instead call him “Yashka” in order to curse Him, avoiding saying “salvation” which is what “Yeshua” means.

[Clip: “Well, let me ask you this. I mean, Jesus said of Himself, ‘Before Abraham was born, I AM.’ Why is it people picked up stones to stone Him when He said that?”

“It says in the Torah, ‘you should know this day and take it into your heart: The Lord is God in the heaven above and on the earth below.’ There’s nothing else. There’s nothing besides God.

“God is the I AM. In Hinduism they say that man is God. That’s idolatry! God is all!”

“So it’s idolatry for a man to claim to be God?”

“God is all. If he says that it’s all God including me, that’s not idolatry. God is unlimited. God is infinite. That man is not infinite, he’s limited.”]

    You simpleton.

The Old Testament describes many instances of God appearing in ‘limited’ forms as “Theophanies.”

In one instance, God appeared to Abraham and even ate with him having the appearance of a “limited” mouth.

These were Pre-Incarnate appearances of the Son of God, Who—as predicted by Moses and the prophets—would come as a man having both a human and divine nature.

This is way too profound for the ‘rebbe’ with his ‘toirah.’ All he can come up with is that the “universe is God.” Pure pantheism. No one dies they just dissolve into the universe.

    The Christian answer is better:

Jesus Christ came as a man to conquer death.

By His humanity He suffered death, and thus put away our sins on the Cross; and by His Divinity He arose from the dead, and thus grants life beyond the grave.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His Only Begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.”

I was perishing in the synagogue but now have eternal life in the Church.

The rabbis have no answers. All they can do is curse, fudge, and put serious inquirers on the road to hell.

But Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

And those who await His Second Coming, unlike the rabbis, will not be harmed by the second death.

I am sorry to hear the bad news Brother, I wish I could support you, I really do, I have a child due any day now.

I am a recent viewer of your work, and a recent follower of Christ Almighty, and I want to thank you for your teaching and wisdom. I pray the Lord blesses you so you are financially stable and so you can carry on doing the Lord’s work.

Do you have any sources to show why today’s Jews are not of the House of Israel, I read the House of Israel is spiritual and holy, and only through Christ do you become the seed of Abraham.

I find confusion on where the word Jew came from in the Bible, as it just came out of nowhere.

When I am able to, I will donate what I can. May God bless you, Brother.

It is most wonderful to read today’s article.

Such a testimony to the Lord Jesus Christ must thrill heaven.

Perhaps others will also believe in Him on reading it as you do confess. Then the angels in heaven will rejoice at their words of faith even as they did for yours, my Brother.

Whether Orthodox or Evangelical, Fundamental, Pentecostal or Charismatic, that which defines brotherhood, is our common belief in the Lord Jesus Christ according to the gospel as first preached by Him.

Such Gospel is truth. This Truth is found in Him alone and His Gospel and in the Gospel preached in continuance of such by His apostles.

    It embraces confirmation by God.

The Conqueror of death is the only One whose hand holds the keys of death and of hell.

It is a Gospel of peace and never will contain a pronouncement of earthly war at any time in any country.

He is Son of Man and the Only Begotten Son of God, King of kings and Lord of lords.

  7. Irene Bonney Faulkes October 27, 2015 @ 8:19 pm

    To WX.

The word ‘Jew’ was not in use for the first editions of the King James Bible.

It began to appear in further editions around the eighteenth century.

The Masoretic Jews from the first century strove to thwart Christianity and waged a continuous but hidden war upon them.

Their combative nature thrust them into the area of Bible translations, both Old and New Testaments. Nevertheless, the Word of the Gospel we have is most reliable.

Behind it is something rather greater and that is the Person of the Word of God. He it is Who was made flesh and to Him believers have turned.

The reason is that ‘He drew them to Himself’.

He is the Lord Jesus Christ and He is the One who draws you, me and millions of others to Himself.

  8. Eileen K. October 27, 2015 @ 8:24 pm

+Br. Nat, thank you so much for sharing your experiences as a Jew growing up in Christian America.

How you sought honest answers from rabbis regarding Jesus Christ. It looks like, to me, that you didn’t get the answers you sought in the synagogues .. but that you found them within an Orthodox Christian Church.

Jesus chose you, Brother, for a special mission, to spread the Gospels nationwide as a traveling preacher, and to produce articles and videos once the Internet had taken off worldwide.

Yes, this is a difficult task and quite an expensive one, as well. You’re one of the very few Jews who have converted to Christianity and became a member of the clergy either as a priest; or, in your case, a monk.

It takes a whole lot of courage for you to do what you do, especially, asking for contributions. Even requesting contributions online can be harrowing, but, you keep pushing on, never giving up and, that’s why I continue to help as much as I can; and, I’ll do so again next week. Just hang in there, Br. Nat; Jesus will always have your back.

    God Bless you always,

    Eileen

Facebook is no longer allowing my to post either your articles (like this one), or even your YouTube videos!

I tried posting the “Why I Left Judaism” video, and FB simply would NOT let me do it! I could post a link to this article, but that all they would allow–no descriptive title or picture accompanied it.

Btw, I LOVE these these kinds of videos of yours! They remind me so much of how I was brought up.

My family wasn’t Jewish, but in many ways they might as well have been. We never talked about anything religious whatsoever. I grew up feeling a huge void within me as a result.

Facebook does have his articles on my posts, no problems.

I don’t know what the problem with yours is, steven?

The Jews are out of game since Matthew 21:43, it makes them what they are.

    Dearest Bro Nathanael,

It seems that I am not allowed to post your videos or articles to Facebook!

Whenever I do try to do so I get “Bad Request.” in reply!

Did you know that this is happening?

Love and so much appreciation from me for all you do – the massive good you do for the World.

    Dear Brother Nathanael B.C.O.H.M.

Interesting you should give a talk, at this time, dedicated exclusively to the Truth of Jesus Christ and mention “The Second Coming.”

God Love, Bless and Protect You Brother Nathanael.

    Pat.

  14. WX October 28, 2015 @ 7:16 am

    Irene,

Thank you for your reply. I am not surprised, they have been enemies of Christ from day one!

Jesus has told us in crystal clear words about our salvation, and the Jews to this day refuse him still.

May they follow Brother Nathanael’s example and repent, for their sins are destroying their chances of salvation.

    God bless.

Dear Brother Nathanael, I just committed myself to a recurring donation.

=You deserve it. In a country crammed with lies and choking on fictions, you give an honest Christian’s take on the Jewish people.

May we who are Christian become more truly Jesus’ followers; may St. Paul’s predictions (Romans, 9-11) about the conversion of the Jews speedily come to pass.

    God bless you.

  18. BN For President 2016 October 28, 2015 @ 11:28 am

“No one dies, the just ‘dissolve’ into the universe”, and then what, right?

Then, fwiw, the freaky old ‘rabbi’ comes up with this “it’s all god” statement. But according to the Torah he later quotes from in the same interview (citing it supposedly as an authority) we find the Levitical God referenced as a specific singularity. And this is what passes for a rabbi’s teachings these days? he sounds like a run of the mill new ager to me.

And then this, “all Jews have a holy nephish (sp?), that is a soul, and are destined for eternal life”. Sounds nice. I can become a Jew, and be the most wicked person ever, never have to be troubled by the prick of my conscience, I can commit murders, thefts, mass deception, run roughshod over the rights and liberties of everyone around me to gain maximum material wealth and power, and I have a free pass to heaven because I am a Jew.

And we wonder why so-called ‘Jews’ have garnered so much power. The rest of us poor suckers are burdened with doing our best to love God and our neighbors as ourselves, where this contingency often slows down the advance down the road of unbridled materialism and world power.

BN, I would like to know what your take is on this Khazar/Ashkenazim thing. I read from many sources that today’s jews have no genetic link to Palestine, in other words, they do not have Semitic ancestral origin, but are impostors, where their ancestors are from the caucusus mountains, a region far to the north east of what we call ‘israel’ today.

This begs the question, exactly what is a ‘Jew’, and on what basis the claim then rests that one so identified has become the ‘chosen one of god’ and therefore entitled (by their thinking) to this free pass to “eternal life” irrespective of all their bad deeds.

For the record, there is really no way to determine what someone’s ancestry is unless they submit to a DNA test, where their sample is left unmarked and submitted with many other unmarked samples, with testing by an unbiased examiner who is not aware of the purpose of the DNA test, etc.

Unfortunately, we’ll never get that. The Jews as I know them would lie all day and all night about the results if for some reason it was conclusively shown they, in fact, have no Semitic origin

Therefore the only basis of their claim to be ‘Jews’, or somehow being connected to the original tribe of Judah (which was totally corrupt as it was in the day, so I read and am informed by scholarly research) is an *adoptive* one, where at some point in the past *their* true ancestors were *not* Judahites at all, but someone/something else, and for whatever reason *converted* to so-called ‘judaism’ (with a talmudic twist).

Apparently, Jews are running around with their own DNA ‘evidence’ proving they *do* have the genetic semitic markers, even as far back as 1000 generations, so-called ‘scholarly’ research published in a book here and there.

To me, this is an extremely significant issue, and I wish it could be established somehow as a fact one way or the other, because despite the ‘you shall know a tree by its fruit’ axiom Jesus gives us, which should make it easy for the mass of modern Christendom to step away from Jew worship and blindly supporting zionist agendas, the mass of modern Christians (not I for sure) throw massive support behind jews because they assume by *nature* these people who claim to be Jews are the ‘trunk of the tree’ as it were, and we genitles were ‘grafted in’.

That is all well and good, but if what they refer to as the ‘trunk’ is something that – in practical definable terms – is *genetic* (for example, few Christians would say a native born Eskimo is a Jew), it then raises the issue upon what *genetic* basis does one who labels themselves (or has been labeled by their parents, because they don’t know any better) ‘Jew’ make the claim, and thereby convince all of Christendom that person is *by their physical, genetic and ancestral nature* somebody *directly* connected to ancient Israel, entitling them *today* to the extremely soft handling and deferential treatment they receive?

The critical point being is if we establish 95%-100% of Jews today are impostors with absolutely no ancestral link to israel, but that is was, in fact, an adoptive one from around ~700 AD or so, that means, by *nature* a person who claims to be the jew the modern Christian thinks they are, really is not.

And if *that* is true, then the foundation collapses under these ppl they are the ‘chosen ones of God’, because in the most primitive analysis, based on the tradition, this is a *racial* question. This bible we read and the Christians rely on points specifically to a group of people from a distinct geographical region.

It seems to me the basis for calling someone ‘the chosen one’ is *they* can’t *choose* to be *chosen*, but that their ‘chosen’ status must arise from something connected to an ancestral genetic link to a semitic region – at the very least.

Otherwise, *anybody* could just ‘convert’ to ‘Judaism’, and voila! they are a ‘chosen’ one, entitled to all the rights an privileges that flow from that – at least according to the mass of modern christendom.

It is my view that modern Christendom supports a fraud, an impostor. It is easy for the objective eye to see this because of the immense trouble the Zionists cause the world. But the 99% majority of people who say they are Christian look the other way in the face of diabolical evidence, because they are the ‘trunk of the tree’ the ‘chosen ones of god’.

Ah, but on what basis does that assumption rest? And if it were stripped away, would Christians finally then recognize the evil and withdraw their support, and save the world once and for all?

Because it is my view it is the fault of the the Judeo-Christian leaders who preach this pro-zionist BS from every evangelical pulpit all over the world – who have enabled the Zionist cancer to thrive.

And with evidence circulating these ‘Jews’ may not be Semitic at all, which means their is no *natural* basis for them to claim they are the ancestors of the ‘chosen’ ppl of God, if that can be established once and for all, maybe we can delete the Zionist threat to the world.

  19. well well well October 28, 2015 @ 1:46 pm

    Salvation comes through love.

Jesus died for our sins but we do not resurrect with him unless we have love in our hearts.

That is why we understand that Jesus died for all, not just for those who have heard of Him. But on these fall the greater burden as they have the most sure means of obtaining eternal salvation through their knowledge of Jesus and His word.

God is a the God of justice above all and there is no justice in only preaching. You must receive Jesus in your heart consciously and with intellectual awareness of this mystery in this life, in order to go to heaven.

    Brother Nathanael,

I have been watching your videos for a couple of years now. Some I agree wholeheartedly with, some not so much, but hey, that’s America and Christianity right?

We may find ourselves separated by doctrine but we’re all part of the body of Christ, at least the believers I mean. I hope to be able to help you financially in the near future, right now I’ll just pray and give my moral support.

Take care and God bless you for your work in the Lord,

    Skip

  21. well well well October 28, 2015 @ 2:30 pm

    John 10:

25 Jesus answered, “I did tell you, but you do not believe. The works I do in my Father’s name testify about me, 26 but you do not believe because you are not my sheep. 27 My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.

28 I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all[c]; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. 30 I and the Father are one.”

  22. Luke October 28, 2015 @ 2:41 pm

    Nicely said. You believe in Jesus Christ because;

    Philippians 1:29 KJVS
[29] For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake.

    God has chosen you as a vessel of mercy, Nathanael. Stephen understood what God was doing and what fruit of the Spirit God was growing in him when he said this;

    Acts 7:60 KJVS
[60] And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep.

There is great suffering on the horizon for the body of Christ in the world today.

  24. Marc October 28, 2015 @ 5:38 pm

Bless you Brother Nathanael for your bold testimony about the only and true God Jesus Christ.

This is what I like about you, you have no “buts” in your tongue when it comes to denouncing the synagogue of Satan and giving testimony of HIM who is ready to judge the living and the dead: “Preach the Word. Be ready to do this whether or not the time is convenient.

Refute, warn, and encourage with the utmost patience when you teach” (2 Timothy 4:2). Keep up the good work. In Jesus’ Mighty Name. Amen!

  25. Zebo October 28, 2015 @ 6:13 pm

Well, I’m agnostic and I behave in a similar way like Brother Nathanael

I’m from Muslim origin and I criticize Islam as harsh as Brother Nathanael does criticize the Jews, while at the same time I think he is criticizing the Jews too harsh, and he may think the same about me and Islam. I guess this is because we both know our religions from inside and their enourmous hidden/latent negative potential.

But considering Jesus, I am sharing his point of view.

As Jesus was a good guy with no ego, and, just like Buddha (but unlike Mohammed), He is an inspiring example of mankind, and trying to live like he did would make this world a better place.

And it is pretty obvious that Brother Nathanael’s happiness and vitality (a very rare thing, especially for man of his age) is result of following Jesus teachings.

The most important thing (at least in the way how I understand this Trinity) is, that unlike other gods, Jesus changed the paradigm.

Usually gods demand sacrifices from humans, while in this case God gave up his godly status, became a human and sacrificed himself.

That’s a remarkable turn in the relationship between man and God.

And it is the exact opposite of Jewry where, according to Thalmud, a rabbi debates God and the rabbi wins the debate (=rabbi makes himself smarter than God), which is pure blasphemy and maximum hubris.

And Jesus was IMO not a “Jew”. He was a Christ from the very beginning and came down to earth to make things clear, to teach and to tell the tribe that they went the wrong way.

And he was prophetic in an almost timeless manner–as the only time he got angry was with the money changers in the Temple, and those very same money changers are still the two faced lying snakes (“Dr Shekel and Mr Bribe”) who cause trouble all around the world these days.

I mean: Jesus kept even calm when talking to the devil in the desert, but not with the money changers.

But now Brother I also have a question for you:

Who is owning this world according to your/your Church point of view:

When Jesus was in the desert the devil offered him all kingdoms: How can the Devil offer Jesus all these things when God has created them? Weren’t those kingdoms God’s?

I mean, you can not offer things to someone who has created those things.

The devil can not offer you things he does not own, and i never have heard that he owns this planet.

Was there some deal or have I simply misunderstood something??

I hope I did not offend someone as my English is not that good and I may have used some wrong words.

  26. John Jones October 29, 2015 @ 9:02 am

    @Zebo

God owns everything but it is temporarily under Satan’s control and the Jews till Jesus comes back

  27. liptont October 29, 2015 @ 12:51 pm

Truth shall prevail over everything else!!

  28. Zebo October 29, 2015 @ 3:14 pm

    @John Jones

Thank you for the answer, but is this what you are saying part of Bible/Christian interpretation (source) or your interpretation?

I mean I’ve heard of satanism inside huge parts of Jewish community and that Jews lost their chosen status.

But I never read about them doing a 180 and officially changing sides towards Satan and being his chosen now, and I do not know about Satan taking over planet earth.

Only thing I know is that Jesus said something like “beware of those who say they are Jews but are not Jews but belong to the synagogue of Satan. Edomites”

  29. jim October 29, 2015 @ 5:24 pm

Excuse me for playing the Devil’s advocate (or Kabbalist Jew), but there are serious existential issues involved here.

If accepting Jesus as your savior guarantees you eternal Life, while denying or even doubting Jesus means non existence after physical Death, then what happens if you ever doubt Jesus after physical Death, which probability theory states will occur, unless the very concept of doubt ever existed inside of you?

You could state that denying Jesus after physical Death is impossible, but why and what exactly is non physical Life?

Life implies consciousness, which implies form, and form is what is referred to as the body, so how is there Life without a body?

The Infinite Creator gave me Life and Free Will, so is not the very center of me God itself, or does not God live through and is a part of me, thereby making me a child of God? Since the Lord Almighty, who is both formless and timeless, created all that exists in the physical Universe, why is Pantheism considered anathema?

Since the Wisdom required to understand God and the Laws governing reality clearly require many more years than one lifetime could possibly provide, why is the concept of reincarnation anathema?

Since many children are aborted and/or born into devastating circumstances, while some of us are born into enlightened environments, how does a fair and just God equate with this? Why is it that someone like me can ask these questions, while the rest accept unthinkingly all they are taught, regardless of the source?

  30. Seek The Truth October 29, 2015 @ 7:12 pm

Brother Nathanael, I just sent a small donation via snail mail.

To me, Jesus incorporates the Holy Spirit as opposed to his opposite; the spirit of the Devil for anyone who has an affinity for him. Not all do. They don’t comprehend the light just like the Bible says. There are other Kingdoms away from the light but not the utter spiritual darkness of the Devil’s Kingdom. There are lower Heavens. In that sense I agree with many religious philosophers.

I see problems in this world as so immense that divine intervention is the only solution. Hence, I see the very near 2nd Coming as necessary.

I came to this conclusion a long time ago when I confronted a Christian Bishop about wars and chaos and he agreed. Humans by themselves can’t beat the devil for very long. They need Jesus and they need him on Earth.

I don’t want to elaborate right now but I don’t see my biological relatives as being true Christians. They are more like materialists and pantheists who go to church and who support the evil cult that has taken over the Holy Land.

This reminds me of Jesus speech in which he says “I come not to bring peace but a sword etc.”

  31. Bob Kuskis October 29, 2015 @ 7:28 pm

    Bravo again Brother Nathaniel,

The Bible declares any mans righteousness is but a pile of rags. Not just a couple of rags but a pile. IS THERE ANY HUMILITY OUT THERE!

When we soberly and honestly look at ourselves and we consider “the evil intentions of the heart” we ought to be on our knees in prayer before God Almighty and taking our Sins and Crap Machinations to the cross. Amen? Yes Amen!

But their is hope that will never fail!!!

We are not defeated, and we don’t need drugs and we don’t need immediate I Phone bullcrap to claim our attention and we don’t need main stream media. UGH! What total crap!

Let us claim the precious Blood of Jesus against Satan.

I urge all Christians out there to pray against Satan. The battle is spiritual.

My prayer in Jesus’ Almighty Name in the Power of the Spirit and unto and before the Almighty Throne of Grace.

Almighty Father in Jesus Name I approach your almighty throne of grace. I am covered by the precious blood of your Son who was sent to the cross to die for me. Almighty Father in thy name of thy Son Jesus Christ who has covered my sins forever – I have the follwing request.

Almighty God stretch forth Thy Almighty Hand and thwart the plans of the NWO and the UN. Laugh at them Lord God and have them in Derision.

Almighty God, in Jesus Precious Name may this prayer receive favor in thine eyes and Proclaim thy Majesty as you thwart the plans of the men in high positions who design evil and financial control over the masses.

Almighty Father thank you that I may approach thy throne in Jesus Precious Name. Amen.

    @jim

First off, Talmudic Judaism has an issue with an anthropomorphic God, but the Old Testament (or Torah and Tanakh) are what Christianity is and Judaism should be rooted in.

Yet, God is REPEATEDLY made anthropomorphic in those texts. If God is merely the energy of Ein Sof (Judaism’s The Force from Star Wars), how could He manifest Himself as a burning bush and converse with Moses, telling him to remove his shoes before stepping on holy ground?

The Old Testament, as well as the New, state that God created all things. How can God create all of the Universe if He is merely some kind of pantheistic, all-encompassing energy that is the sum of the Universe?

The interpretations of the Talmudic rabbis is patently WRONG if one reads their interpretations of Torah and Tanakh.

That is why they have reduced the Pentateuch to a series of synchronistic symbols whose true meaning is some kind of esoteric code, and not textual language. And the rest of the Old Testament has been belittled as fit for study by women and children, and only Talmud and Kabbalah fit for serious scholars.

jim–you can chase your tail your whole life trying to discover a meaning of creation that YOU create with your intellect.

You let me know when science finally has an answer to the meaning of life that is acceptable.

After years of wandering, I chose to surrender to God, and quit worshipping human intellect, and that includes Buddha and ‘enlightenment’ and reincarnation or any of the other human intellectual concepts that spring from the way WE’D like creation to be, all of them built on the notion that we can ‘earn’ eternal life in His presence or try to rise up and make ourselves great like Lucifer.

It isn’t our creation. It is God’s. We need to accept His terms, acknowledge our rebellion, and accept His grace aka generosity and love.

John 3:5-7 Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. 6 Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. 7 You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again.’

The whole issue is, to understand, your old “I” must vanish first. It is an act, a process where your own will dissipates and is replaced by acceptance of a will overreaching your “private” I, will of God what is commanding the whole Universe.

After this only you can understand. Only from within of this your-own-will-bare understanding of world comes knowledge and wisdom.

Matthew 23:39 – For I tell you, you will not see me again until you say, ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.’

In other words – Israel and Jews will not see Jesus before they repent. In the same logic, Jerusalem will be most probably the last place Jesus visits after he comes back.

    @Shane

Every sentence in my letter was a question, outside of the first, and mentions Kabbalistic magic, something you probably never read into and certainly never practiced, and not one word was mentioned of the Torah or Talmud.

You made no attempt to answer any of the questions posed, which are purely philosophical in nature and have been stated by many besides myself, but that is probably because you have no capacity to use your own miniscule intellect.

There was also no mention of science at all, and a real student of the Kabbalah goes past theory and into meditation and practice, instead of just spending their lives quoting passages from some book. People like me do not “wander,” we have a dedicated path, because we have Free Will and intend to use it.

One of my points was that the Infinite Creator forms the core of all of us, lives through us and that the physical Universe is the body of this formless and timeless entity.

On still another note, the act of Life itself is creation and it is occurring right now, which is why Humanity was given Free Will. If God wished for us to “surrender”, which is a sign of total weakness and therefore a horrible sin, then why give us the great gift of Free Will?

My final point here is that if your being is not immutable, it never will be, so the very concept of earning Eternal Life is patently absurd. By the way, intellect is another great gift of God’s, so if you wish to squander an opportunity to develop one, that is your problem, and fortunately not mine.

    Jim-

Sadly my English is too bad to explain to you how wrong your logic is in the case that conciousness implies form.

And I’m not Christian, but agnostic and I do not have interest to be rewarded just for coincidentally worshipping the right God while others, who are/were better than I am,will be refused this reward (call it paradise, nirvana etc)

I mean all those human beings who never heard of Jesus, Buddha etc because they grew up in a region where knowledge about Jesus/Buddha is not available or were born in a time before Jesus/Buddha were born and therefore never got the slightest chance to be rewarded, imo this is violating objective standards and is very unfair, but that is just my point of view.

BUT your statement about concioussness is wrong.

It does not imply form, neither in Buddhism, where everything that is not eternal is just an illusion (though sometimes a very painful one) nor in science.

Let me quote Max Planck, the father of quantum theory:

“I can tell you as result of my research about atoms this much.
There is no material as such.”

    Dear Zebo,

    You wrote:

“As Jesus was a good guy with no ego, and, just like Buddha (but unlike Mohammed), He is an inspiring example of mankind, and trying to live like he did would make this world a better place.”

“And it is pretty obvious that Brother Nathanael’s happiness and vitality (a very rare thing, especially for man of his age) is result of following Jesus teachings.”

“The most important thing (at least in the way how I understand this Trinity) is, that unlike other gods, Jesus changed the paradigm.

“Usually gods demand sacrifices from humans, while in this case God gave up his godly status, became a human and sacrificed himself.

“That’s a remarkable turn in the relationship between man and God.”

This is an outstanding conclusion that you’ve come to.

In Orthodoxy, Kenosis is understood as self-emptying, humbling oneself, removing the mostly false ego so to speak.

It is to break away from selfishness, and to become selfless. For Orthodox Christians, it is to live in the love of God, and His creation, the way humanity was originally created to live.

God’s Incarnation itself is an example, not just His becoming a human Person, without ceasing to be God in His very essence, but how he humbled Himself and became obedient unto death, even death on a cross.

In the Old Testament we see the second Person of the Trinity in an obedient and subservient role to God the Father when the Preincarnate Christ appears to some men and women on earth as the Son-Servant — the Malak YHWH, Aggelos or Messenger of the Lord; Malak Elohim, Aggelos or Messenger of God, as He did to Abraham, Sarah, and also Hagar.

I believe Islam identifies this angel as Gabriel who is a supernatural creature and not divinity. But it is very clear in Genesis that the Angel of the Lord who appeared to Abraham, Sarah, and Hagar was God Himself, for He promised things to them that only God can do, and they in turned fully believed His divine nature to be the Lord God.

    In Genesis 16:9:

And the Angel of the LORD said to her, “Return to thy mistress, and submit thyself under her hands. 10 And the Angel of the LORD said to her, I will surely multiply thy seed, and it shall not be numbered for multitude.”

Here the Angel of the Lord makes Hagar a promise which no created angel could make—He promises that He will give her an exceedingly great progeny.

St. Paul tells us that in the incarnation of the Word of God in Christ that the Second Person of the Trinity emptied Himself in order to become fully human.

“Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men.

“And being found in human form he humbled himself and became obedient unto death, even death on a cross.“ (Philippians 2:5-8)

The self-emptying of God the Son, called kenosis, makes his incarnation and the divine union with humanity possible.

It makes salvation possible. For the kenotic Christ then descends into the place of dead and empties it of all its captives – not just the righteous, but all are freed from slavery to death. This is what we proclaim in our post-Paschal hymnology.

The late Father Michael Pomazansky wrote an eminently readable and eirenic book for the lay Orthodox Christian, Catechumens, and “the Outsider”–Orthodox Dogmatic Theology: A Concise Exposition. It was not written for academic theologians, but primarily for pastors, although anyone will benefit from it.

Fr Michael remained deeply rooted in the patristic tradition of the Orthodox Church, not trying to supercede with his own private opinions any revelation that the Church has handed down to us.

He wrote a systematic theology of exactly what the Church teaches and has for 2,000 years as the certain, unchanging teaching of the Church — and not about what is currently “disputed.”

    About Kenosis he wrote:

The Orthodox Mystical Theology of the East emphasises following the example of Christ. Kenosis is only possible through humility and presupposes that one seeks union with God.

The Poustinia tradition of the Russian Orthodox Church is one major expression of this search.

Kenosis is not only a Christological issue in Orthodox theology, it has moreover to do with Pneumatology, namely to do with the Holy Spirit.

Kenosis, relative to the human nature, denotes the continual epiklesis and self-denial of one’s own human will and desire in order to become a vessel for the “Energies” of the Holy Spirit, which is accomplished through the the Holy Mysteries of the Church–especially Confession and the Holy Eucharist, the liturgical life, prayer and fasting discipline of the Orthodox Church, and the reading of spiritually profitable books about the Lives of the Saints and Martyrs.

My favorites are the Desert Fathers. Their wisdom are real pearls.

With regard to Christ, there is a kenosis of the Son of God, a condescension and self-sacrifice for the redemption and salvation of all humanity.

Humanity can also participate in God’s saving work through theosis; becoming holy by grace.

Therefore, in Eastern Orthodoxy, theosis never concerns becoming like God in essence or being, which is pantheism; instead, it concerns becoming united to God by grace, through his Energies.

Orthodox theology distinguishes between divine Essence [which is unknowable-Kj] and Energies [which is knowable and experiential-Kj.] Kenosis therefore is a paradox and a mystery since “emptying oneself” in fact fills the person with divine grace and results in union with God.

Kenosis in Orthodox theology is the transcending or detaching of oneself from the world or the passions, it is a component of dispassionation.

Much of the earliest debates between the Arian and Orthodox Christians were over kenosis.

The need for clarification about the human and divine nature of the Christ (see the hypostatic union) were fought over the meaning and example that Christ set, as an example of kenosis or ekkenosis.”
    http://www.intratext.com/IXT/ENG0824/_P16.HTM#N5

The “Energies” of God are very often referred to as the “grace of God” and also “the Uncreated Light of God,” and the Holy Spirit.

An analogy of a person acquiring the grace of God (theosis–the preliminary stage is “purification” of one’s passions and sinful tendencies) through prayer and fasting in synergy with God is like heating up an iron sword to a red hot glow–it is “energized” yet still remains a sword and it’s basic metal nature doesn’t change into something else.

As for +BN’s happiness and vitality, it’s not just Jesus’ teachings which are very important, but evidence of his inward life and love for and in Jesus Christ in the Church, and which many Christians and other feel all across the Christian spectrum.

I know from a couple of Muslim friends of mine that they love and revere the Prophet Jesus and His Mother the Virgin Mary, taking their lives and teachings to heart. My friends’ faces just brighten up when Jesus and Mary are mentioned, too, especially during the Nativity season.

As for the Temptation in the Wilderness, it’s necessary to understand that Christ did indeed become incarnate and assumed true human “sarx” or flesh, which biblically usually means more than just the body-“soma”.

In New Testament usage, ‘flesh’ usually refers to the entirety of fallen human nature, the psuchesoma, which, through its ties to the world and mortality, struggles against spiritual growth and leads one into sin. Christians are called to subdue the lusts of the flesh so that they may grow in union with Christ (Romans 8:4-9; Gal. 5:16-24 lists the “works of the flesh”).

In Galatians 5, Apostle Paul obviously does not mean the body itself when using ‘the flesh,’ but uses it as a general term for evil actions, the depraved will, the earthly mind, the slothful and careless soul–things that are under one’s control, not part of human nature. This ‘flesh’ is crucified with Christ (v.24). It is not human nature that is mortified, but its evil deeds.

In Christology, ‘flesh’ refers to the sinless human nature of Christ, or the Body of Christ. In liturgical usage, there is reference to the flesh of Christ in the Eucharist.

Alas, even most Orthodox Christians like myself fall short of the glory of God. I still labor over myself and sinful passions everyday with prayers and fasting and self-examination, and follow the disciplines of Holy Tradition of the Orthodox Church as much as possible.

With the concept of Christ’s kenosis of His divine powers except His divine essence and assuming true human flesh (nature), then it becomes clear that Jesus Christ was tempted by the Devil on His manward side in His true human nature.

Throughout the New Testament, Jesus Christ experienced, suffered, and was tempted by all things common to man with one exception, He did not sin. In the New Testament, Christ suffers from thirst, hunger, loneliness, grief, exhaustion, etc. During His Grief at Gethsemane on the Mount of Olives (Matthew 26:36), according to His divine nature, Jesus knows He must drink the cup of suffering of His pending sacrificial death. As man, He wishes the chalice to pass, for it is a mark of humanity to abhor death and struggle against it.

He prayed to His Father if possible the chalice of suffering be taken away from Him. Thus, Christ gives abundant proof that His flesh is true flesh, but without sin. Though Jesus’ body is the temple of His divinity, we Christians do not attribute to His divinity the properties of humanity united to it: the Passion, the suffering and death of Christ.

Therefore, Satan tempted or tested Christ’s human nature as well, and it is Christ’s human nature that resists the temptations. Perhaps this sermon on the Three Temptations of Christ will be helpful.
    http://oca.org/reflections/fr.-steven-kostoff/the-three-temptations-of-christ

As for what immorality and evils that so-called “Christians” do in the name of Christ, either individually or as Zio-christian Jewmerica is doing now in the Middle East, there is no way that I or any other sober-minded Christian can defend what’s they are doing, because obviously it is not Christian.

Anyway, I suggest Fr Michael’s Dogmatic Theology for a fuller basic understanding of Orthodox Christian teachings which you can read online. There are significant theological differences between Eastern Christianity and the West’s Catholicism/Protestantism.

    God bless!

My Congressman posted, “I stand with Israel!” at his Facebook page.

He’s not a stupid man, although he IS a neo-con.

I called his DC office and asked if he actually said that. The lady I spoke with said he did. I asked “Why? What has Israel ever done for us?” There was silence.

I continued, “I can’t say what Israel’s done for us either – but I can tell you lots of things they’ve done TO us: The Lavon Affair, the attack on the USS Liberty. Trillion$ in financial aid. And their fingerprints are all over 911. So why stand with Israel?”

More silence. Then she said, “I can’t tell you what the Congressman thinks on these things but I will forward your question to him.”

I asked for a letter reply.

I don’t know if I’ll get a reply. Probably not, but I want to say that unless you guys are carrying the struggle out into the workplace and streets you’re not part of the solution – you’re part of the problem.

If all we do is go online and piss and moan about the Jews are we really any better than the Hagee-ites?

To their credit Jews recognize the necessity of action to back up all their pissing and moaning. They get busy. They organize and they put their money where their mouth is.

Hoping and waiting for “the generals” to initiate a patriotic coup is just a sad demonstration of the slave mindset at work. It’s not going to happen either. At least not in a way that’s beneficial to the average mope. Ask yourselves a question: who’s signing the general’s paychecks?

Homosexual “marriage”. Abortion on demand. Wars of conquest…. America certainly deserves what’s going to happen to it. But we can mitigate some of what’s coming our way through larger action, prayer and faith in Jesus Christ.

God always triumphs… in the end.

Jews hated Christ for many reasons, of which this one was(is) far not the least:

Matthew 19:21 Jesus answered the rich young man, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow Me.”

When you are bothered by the reality and look around, perhaps the only man at power whom you could approve as hearing and following is José Mujica of Uruguay.

In the USA he would be mocked to be Socialist or Communist.

While, in fact, he may be the only true follower of Christ at power worldwide. So it is the reality. No wonder, under these circumstances, the confusion about what the Christianity is about is almost absolute.

Here’s the main issue is that calling in wont help seeing as how they care so little for what the American people have to say. I mean hell they could get complaints from 100 million people calling in and not take it seriously at all because they only care about what Jews tell them.

The whole entire reason why Occupy Wall Street was a failure is simply because as I said they simply do not care what you think.

Basically the way I see it, I think help is only gonna come from Russia in removing these scum from power because the United States is a rotting dead carcass drawing flies and buzzards.

Face it, our country has been in a slow proccess of dying since the Federal Reserve Act that Woodrow Wilson signed, and JFK could have brought us back around, but they killed him.

Thank you for all the information, but my conclusion is not an outstanding conclusion at all.

Maybe it is just that some things seems to be so obvious that many are not seeing the forest for the trees.

Another example where we usually miss this forest is life itself:

A human being is made of 4 quadrillion (European quadrillion should be 1000* more than English ones) individual atoms.

If we humans would be just non-material spiritual beings we would swear that “It is absolutely impossible to build a “machine” with so many parts, so extremly complicated, and that this machine, though so complicated, is able to operate longer than any machine made from super solid super durable metal.”

BUT here we are. We last/live longer than almost all machines though we, our muscles, organs etc are stressed almost all the time.

But we do not realise this while we are amazed at the same time when we see a complicated man-made machine that is super simple compared to human organism.

We can not realise this because we obviously can not realise a miracle when incredible miracles are too common and billions of them exist.

I think people would do much less harm to each other if they just could realise what complicated miracle humans and all other living beings are.

The reason that no one can do anything about it is that the Protocols of Zion has already stated how to control Governments.

Politicians don’t represent the people, they represent themselves. So the tools that control the politicians is Bribery and Blackmail. The blackmail is accomplished through the Monopolized Media and the Bribes (disgraceful for Christians to do) are accomplished through the infinite money created out of thin air as loans from the Federal Reserve.

The Protocols of Zion already pointed out the weaknesses of their system. That is a king that truly cares about his own people. These presidents/kings/”dictators” are always their targets.

The Protocols of Zion doesn’t even believe in democracy either. Democracy is just a way to let the worker think he has some political power, but in reality he doesn’t. The US has a dictatorship disguised as a democracy.

So unless you control the media and control the creation of money and have a lot of other nations to help you against the ” coalition of the willing” you will soon be their target. They are international. This is their system of controlling governments.

You must have a king/leader who cares about his own people, controls the money creation, and the media. This is what they are against.

Controlling information is a key protocol of the Protocols of Zion. This has clearly been broken by the internet.

Matthew 11:25-26- “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this was your good pleasure.”

How sad for the cerebral narcissist that his ego prevents him from choosing salvation over occult gnosis, that there are those who insist on some control over God through Kabbalist magic and insist on judging God by our standards.

We are the ones who will be judged unless we accept God’s grace, provided by the sacrifice of Christ. Doubt? I never doubt or question God anymore. He spared me for years. He had His hand on my life until I got to the point of surrendering at last to Him, which was my willful choice.

Is God fair by our standards? Christ gives us the Parable of the Prodigal Son and the Parable of the Workers in the Vineyard (Matthew 20) to show us that isn’t fairness, but God’s generosity and love that we should focus on. He knows the hearts and struggles of us all intimately.

They keep the longest “Jesus-killing” tradition and are inspiration for all the others sharing the same opinion of what are the words for which has been Jesus crucified worthy of. Today we would say – murdered by corrupt judicial system.

The Jewish “flag” is still, until now dirty by a blood of murder, hung out with no shame. It encourages all the others who would kill Jesus too, rather than listen what he says, that´s why the Jews have such a high credit for others – because they are murderers with no shame.

God revealed Himself MANY times as an ACTUAL individual, not some Star Wars “The force is with you crap”.
Let me ask you one question.

If you are God and create an entire universe and life itself; who would men be to question your “morals” and “fairness”?

Obviously if you build a bicycle, that bicycle has to right to question the purposes or constraints you impose on it. right?

You emotional thinkers just like to skip the obvious and jump right to “Hitler’s Big Lie” to befuddle others and to convince yourself that you are brilliant by being able to go in circles.

You have more in common with a NASCAR fan than an enlightened thinker!! lol.(Nothing against country folks, im a Texan myself.)

God setting up a temporary life cycle for our spirits to exist in as a training and testing of us as “free-willed” individuals is not hard to understand even with a basic human intellect.

Is this not what schools are for our own children? Football camp, etc ?

Notice that we follow what appears to be the larger scheme just as God tells us it is in the Bible.

Just think of God as your “parent” who wants to send you to school to learn. That school is LIFE.

Afterwards, your spirit goes from grade school on earth, to heaven where you get your PhD.

This is not at all complicated and if we are made in God’s image then it is perfectly reasonable that we would “reason” in similar ways towards our children as He does with us. right?

We train and test them and discipline them. God does the same, and to suggest that it is “unfair” to set your child up for failure in a test environment to prepare them for real life would be idiotic.

You have every reason to put your child in tough spots where they fail in order to prepare them for failure.

So why wouldn’t God who created us in His own image do the exact same thing?

Obviously, it makes PERFECT SENSE to an HONEST thinker.

To envision some magic force that is some accidental deity is ludicrous. Do Apple computers create themselves from the general genius of humans? no.

Individual humans invented Apple computers, not some random cumulative force.

you need to study what created the West.

Aristotle taught what we call the “correspondence theory of truth,” ie that which corresponds with reality is that which is true. A few hundred years later, Jesus taught that the fruit proves the tree.

What part of this do you not understand?

YOU prove that there is a God, just as your children prove that YOU exist.

You can’t have children without parents, you can’t have Apple computers without people, and you can’t have life without an intellect-carrying Creator.

This is VERY SIMPLE MATH, NO EMOTION DRIVEN PHILOSOPHY REQUIRED.

God gave you a brain, so start using it properly to define truth. If you have more questions, learn from America’s Founders, if youve got questions, theyve got answers.

Patrick Henry’s most famous speech explains how to arrive at truth very succintly, ie history and preponderance of the evidence.

The answer?? THAT “THERE IS A JUST GOD THAT PRESIDES OVER THE DESTINIES OF NATIONS”… not some “post-modernist star-wars force-be-with-you” crap.

So start connecting the dots. The Bible demonstrates mans foolishness from beginning to end when we think that we are smarter than God when we can’t create an apple fruit or a cockroach, but we think that we can create a philosophy and morals that God must abide by! lol.
