The Zionist media smokescreen would have people think the Libyan ‘Unrest’ is all about tribal warfare among the 140 different tribes in Libya.
In REALITY, there is only ONE tribe behind the civil war in Libya – the JEWISH globalist Rothschild tribe fronted by Talmudic Jew Senator, and deadly dual citizen, Joseph Lieberman.

In an Op-Ed Feature of the Wall Street Journal last week, Lieberman cut right to the chase – this time stripping his rant of any ‘humanitarian’ veneer – demanding that Obama effect a “regime change” to replace Jewry’s latest bogeyman, Muammar Gaddafi…so the TRIBE can take control of Libya’s oil and other resources.
Lieberman argues that arming the ‘rebels’ will pave the way to a ‘democratic’ utopia (Read: Judaic hegemony) in Tripoli. How many times do Americans have to hear the same Zionist tribal lies before they figure the game out?
The Talmudic Senator also claims the rebels are under the ‘moderate’ leadership of the “National Front For The Salvation Of Libya” headquartered in Washington.
The truth is the group was founded, propped up, and funded by the CIA and Israel’s Mossad in 1981 – and is now using the name, the “Transitional National Council.”
What lies, what doubletalk, what filthy deception!
Lieberman also insists that any claims of “jihadists” being part of the rebel-mix are hollow.
He’s lying…big surprise. For in Libya itself – not in Washington – the opposition is dominated by quite another faction, the “Libyan Islamic Fighting Group,” a group of mujahideens dedicated to replacing Gaddafi with an Islamic Caliphate.
Using ‘democratic’ slogans for the benefit of Western Zionist news cameras – and Western Jewish funding – suits them just fine on the road to installing an Islamic sultan.

I noticed Br Nathanael made no mention of 50,000 Black African mercenary troops – a significant omission, I guess because he didn’t believe it, even though there were 90,000+ entries for the search term ‘50,000 black African mercenaries Libya’ to entice him.
But, an entry dated 4/4 linked to a lengthy Wayne Madsen (whom I trust) article clarifies things a great deal, for he says that the 50,000 is just a ‘ disinformation ploy by the CIA to stoke racist fervor among Libyans rebelling against Gaddafi.’
For a whole month I was trying to square this story with the US/NATO assault on Gaddafi, given that serious cross purposes seemed to be therefore emerging between Israel and US/NATO, if at the same time 50,000 Black African mercs had been sent in by Israel in support of Gaddafi.
Israel’s grip on US/NATO is therefore as strong as before, though there is much unwillingness by US/NATO to get into a ground war there as it is too hard to sell to domestic audiences.

The Vatican’s senior representative (vicar apostolic) in Libya, Bishop Giovanni Innocenzo Martinelli, recently decried the fact that NATO air attacks “are killing dozens of civilians.”

I am wondering if the Japanese nuclear catastrophe, set off by an earthquake and tsunami, could perhaps be a warning to France (which has 58 nuclear power stations) the UK and the US, to show them what could happen to them if they refused to invade Libya.

The book of Esther (Monica Lewinsky of her age) is about a Persian King that while inebriated demanded his queen to dance naked in the court. The regal Queen of Iran refused.

I see. The Roman Catholic Pope Damasus and The Council of Rome in 382 had nothing to do with the earliest Western list of the Biblical canon promulgated by a council, two years earlier than the publication of the first installment of the Latin Vulgate.
I would welcome reading Brother Nathanael’s refutation of Ted Pike and hope that that does not depend on Rense’s agreement to post it on Rense.com.
I am working to get a Roman Catholic refutation of Ted Pike by a Catholic Bible scholar.
It would be most interesting to see how closely such two refutations would coincide.

The Orthodox would agree with everything we [ the Roman Catholics ] say concerning the origins of the Bible, but would just claim the Catholics broke away from the true (Orthodox) Church in 1054, rather than the other way around.

We have a very complex situation in the U.S. due to the ethnic groups interfering with the decision of “who is in charge” of the military, foreign policy, economy, religious beliefs, etc.
We cannot have a majority of Zionist Jews in any establishment. There should be affirmative action and quota when electing and hiring personnel.
The problem America is facing today is one of “ethnicity individualism” rather than “We the People of America guided by the Constitution.” There is no unity and that in large part is due to the Zionist control and hatred toward other races mainly the Muslims and Christians.

Although Reverend Ted Pike means well in his effort to plug the flow from which Zionism may find its fountainhead by denying the Book Of Esther as being part of the Old Testament canon, I find him chargeable of “throwing out the baby with the bathwater.”
Indeed, the BIBLICAL Book of Esther is TOTALLY MISUNDERSTOOD by the Synagogue, Christian Zionists, AND sadly, Rev Ted Pike, for this book MUST BE UNDERSTOOD in its “cultural” / Old Testament Polity context.
First of all, the 4th Century AD Holy Fathers of The Holy Orthodox Church RECOGNIZED the Biblical Book of Esther to be part of the Old Testament Canon and Holy Scriptures.
It was the Holy Fathers of the Orthodox Church THAT ESTABLISHED the Biblical Canon of BOTH the Old and New Testaments.
In Lecture IV of St Cyril of Jerusalem of the 4th Century AD to those preparing for baptism — he states SPECIFICALLY that the Book of Esther is part of the Biblical Canon.
St John of Damascus of the 9th Century in his “Exposition of The Orthodox Faith” asserts the same.
Now, in TRULY understanding the Biblical Book of Esther, the Orthodox Church teaches that The “Israel of God” – THE CHURCH – was ABOUT to be wiped out throughout the Persian Empire, which would have exterminated the race from which The Messiah was to come, the Lord Jesus Christ, the Yahweh of the Old Testament.
THUS – SOMETHING DRASTIC HAD TO BE DONE.
The HIDDEN PROVIDENTIAL HAND of God, (although God is not mentioned in the Book of Esther), is SEEN in PRESERVING the Church and INSURING the coming of the Messiah Jesus to overturn the curse of death by using Queen Esther to avert the annihilation of The Church, “The Israel of God,” from which the Messiah Jesus was to come.

This said, by “throwing out the baby with the bathwater,” that is denying the Book of Esther as being part of the Biblical canon, Reverend Ted Pike avoids one error by making an even more serious error in using his own opinion to decide which books of the Bible are valid and which are not.

The real tribe which should be seeking repentance is the “Gentiles.”
Jews, who are mostly atheists, do not know God, but Gentiles born under the Christian faith should know better how to conduct their lives.

The Book of Esther was written by the priest Ezra. I stand by the event that took place in Persia.
Esther is depicted as a church who finds favor with the King to deliver her people from assault or annihilation. Mordecai said to Esther that she had found favor with the King at a time such as this, because God had placed her there and used her for a mission against all odds. The King was a powerful man who ruled the entire regions up to India.
The Political Jews are using it to desecrate their faith in the God of Israel.
What do we learn for the future? God can use people to save the remnant of Israel from their enemies.
Similarly, in the Book of Revelation it states that there will be two witnesses; either Enoch & Elijah who will spread the message of Yeshua/Jesus and thereby 144,000 people from the 12 tribes will accept Jesus during the time of tribulation. I “learned” too that the book of Esther never mentions the word “God.”
However, in the Septuagint, the Greek version, the word “God” appears several times. The first time is verse 1:9 which describes a dream of Mordechai in which people “cried unto God.”
Also, the Septuagint version describes Esther’s personal spiritual prayers.

Every book in the Bible condemns the violent racism of modern Zionism… except one: the book of Esther. The source of the annual feast of Purim, Esther celebrates the Jews’ slaughter of more than 75,000 Gentiles. No Biblical book has so influenced evangelical attitudes toward Israel, especially in approving Israel’s brutality against Arabs. Esther thus plays a pivotal role for both Jews and Christians in their unconditional defense of the state of Israel.
For nearly 2,000 years, a minority of Christian scholars have been troubled by the book’s omission of anything truly spiritual. Athanasius, some of the church fathers, and Martin Luther rejected it as apocryphal. The book never mentions God; nor do its protagonists, Esther and Mordecai. The Jewish people are delivered from annihilation yet never resort to prayer or thanking God afterward.
Instead, this book exalts and appeals to racist Jewish tribalism and appetite for revenge. It began the now familiar Zionist theme: long-suffering Jews as victims of irrational hatred from murderous Gentiles. It celebrates the triumph of Jews who obtain peace not by faith in God but by slaughter.
Ancient as it is, Esther’s message is current. It echoes the cries of Jewish protesters in Israel last month who shouted, “Kill Arabs! Kill those who want to destroy Israel! Kill them before they kill us! ”
Is Esther a Jewish Fable?
The story begins with King Ahasuerus (possibly Xerxes) around 450 B.C. desiring a new wife to replace rebellious Queen Vashti. But the names of the book’s hero and heroine, Mordecai and Esther, are derived from “Marduk” and “Ishtar,” the head male and female deities of Babylon! This should sound alarm bells to Christians.
Why would supposedly pious Jews accept the names of the chief gods of Babylon, the moral cesspool of antiquity? Why is God’s name never mentioned, yet these names of Babylonian arch-deities are constantly honored?
At the time of its writing (perhaps 150 years after Jewish exile under Nebuchadnezzar) Jews were rapidly reflecting Babylonian/Persian culture. The Jewish Encyclopedia indicates that by that time lay teachers, the “Sopherim,” forerunners of the scribes and Pharisees, were already absorbing the theology, customs, and superstitions of Babylon. Much of this would be included in the later Babylonian Talmud. At that time it was highly popular to name children after Marduk and Ishtar. In revealing that Jews were doing the same, Esther reflects an increasing Babylonian influence on Jewish theology and culture.
In chapter 3 the king promotes a Hitler persona, Haman, above all princes in his kingdom. Did this really happen? The meticulous chronicles of Persia record no such person or, for that matter, “Queen Esther” or Mordecai.
Haman hates the Jewish Mordecai and seeks to destroy all Jews. This is the classic Jewish stereotype: Gentiles inexplicably infected with the satanic “disease of anti-Semitism,” compelled to destroy God’s chosen people.
The king, responding to a proposal made by Haman, thinks genocide of Jews in his kingdom is a good idea. Really? The record of the Persian kings was general respect for subdued peoples, not capricious annihilation.
Mordecai, hearing of the “Holocaust” to come, laments but does not cry to God. Instead, he utters a loud and bitter wail, not unlike the “Never forget!” litany of modern Judaism. Esther takes action but with no reference to the Almighty. Fasting is commanded, but without even lip service to the God who could give such deprivation meaning and power.
(Fasting is not uniquely Biblical or intrinsically demonstrative of faith in God. Ezekiel, in fact, reveals that apostate Jewish women wept in mourning for Tammuz, goddess of Babylonia. Ezekiel 8:11) Mordecai counsels Esther with high-sounding but pseudo-scriptural admonitions (Esther 4:13-14).
The crisis ends when Haman, after attempting to hang Jewish Mordecai, is hung on his own gallows. It is discovered that Mordecai had once protected the king from assassination yet received no reward.
Mordecai is exalted to the right hand of power in Persia. Now favorable to the Jews, the king authorizes the Jews to kill all of their enemies who are suspected of murderous intent. The book indicates that the king, having made the decree that the Jews should be killed, is bound under the laws of the Medes and Persians which says that imperial decrees cannot be revoked. Thus, he is forced to keep his original edict intact, while giving Jews the right to kill Gentiles first.
Actually, this is a phony dilemma. By granting Jews the right to kill Gentiles, he has already blatantly violated his own edict. If the story were true, it would have been a small thing for the king to let Gentiles in all of his far-flung provinces know that special blessing and protection were now given to the Jews, throwing a wet blanket on any persecution of them. Again, the general history of Persia reveals the extreme unlikelihood of the Esther narrative.
Yet the book asserts that on the day when the Jews should have been destroyed they attacked their enemies first, slaughtering more than 75,000. This is an act of war in a foreign land, a blatant violation of God’s commandment to the Hebrews under Moses not to take war into foreign lands (Deut. 2).
The rationale of Esther is that if Jews suspect bias motivation against them that will endanger Jewish lives then it is their God-given right to take preemptive action and kill Gentiles first. This is exactly what the Talmud recommends, and it infuses the mentality of the IDF in Israel against Palestinians today. It is the basis on which the Anti-Defamation League of B’nai B’rith portrays Jews as perennial victims of hateful, anti-Semitic, even homicidal bias motivation on the part of Gentiles. Such paranoia deeply undergirds ADL’s mentality that only hate crimes laws, outlawing such forbidden thoughts, can solve the problem of anti-Semitism.
Jewish revenge under Mordecai is the basis of the feast of Purim, celebrating both Jewish paranoia and vengeance. It is now the ethical standard for the Jewish right to revenge in Palestine. It also empowers Israel to violate the sovereign territory and air space of other nations in order to violently stop possible aggression against Israel. Doesn’t Mordecai’s program perfectly express Israel’s demand that the U.S. and other nations join her in launching preemptive air strikes against Iran?
The book concludes with Mordecai exalted to power in Persia. It forgoes even a mention of God. Some have suggested that either Ezra or Nehemiah wrote the book of Esther. Yet in both the books named after them, these great prophets took every opportunity to supplicate, praise, and thank God—actions conspicuously and perversely absent from Esther.

The Talmud says Esther was written by the “men of the great synagogue,” the proto-Sanhedrin of 120 elders during the beginning of the intertestamental period following the last of the great Hebrew prophets. This is probably close to the truth. It casts great suspicion on the canonicity of the book.
Jesus said “the tradition of the elders had made the law of God of none effect.” (Matthew 15:1-8) Esther was a Babylonian import to Judea, and it is almost certain that the priests of Jerusalem, on the recommendation of Babylonian proto-Pharisees, enshrined it in the Hebrew canon.
There is one more powerful reason to believe this. The Dead Sea scrolls date back to between 150 and 70 BC and include the oldest known copies of the Old Testament. The Scrolls were preserved by the Essenes, who disapproved of the Pharisaic establishment in Jerusalem. This historic collection contains every book of the Old Testament exceptEsther.
Esther continues to bear evil fruit, right up to the latest news from Israel about Jewish settler violence against the Palestinians. Truly inspired Scriptures like Habakkuk, Malachi, and Zechariah—which existed just before the appearance of Esther—do not stimulate the persecution complex, self-righteousness or anti-Gentile violence that Esther does. Earlier, Jeremiah 29:4-9 strongly admonished Jews to dwell at peace and seek the welfare of the nations in their dispersion.
Who Decides What is Scripture?
In the final analysis, every believer has the right to decide whether a book of the Bible bears witness to divine inspiration. The Christian is not bound to mindlessly follow church councils in any age. Personally, the Holy Spirit forbids me to recommend Esther.
Some may object, saying, “Shouldn’t we be generous and see the overall high-minded message in Esther?” If an expert is analyzing a possibly counterfeit $100 bill, he does not adopt a “positive” point of view. He gives tenacious attention to the ways the bill under suspicion does not live up to the genuine. Every Christian is obligated to similarly “try the spirits… for many false spirits are gone out into the world.” (1 John 4:1)
Someone may also object that God would never allow His Bible to be contaminated. Well, He allowed His perfect creation in Eden to be so corrupted. Christ permitted one of His twelve disciples to be taken over by the devil. God does not want us to trust in anything above Himself, even in the Book He inspired. His Holy Spirit’s still small voice, “leading into all truth,” remains our ultimate authority. The Holy Spirit guided the remaining eleven disciples perfectly. He can also guide us in a world of counterfeit voices.
Rejecting Esther does not undermine the rest of the Bible. Holy Scripture (excepting Esther and perhaps the Song of Solomon, which was introduced during the same period) bears powerful witness of divine inspiration. Truly inspired Scripture is as impervious to attack as a Sherman tank before a BB gun.
In conclusion, do Christians have the right to include a book in the Bible which does not mention God’s name, offers no prayer or thanks, and exalts Jewish heroes and the Jewish people while demonizing Gentiles? Esther does not emphasize that we are saved by abiding in God through faith. Instead, it says Jews are saved by being suspicious of the motives of others, even killing them en masse.
I am not in danger of heresy by excluding Esther from the Bible. Those most in danger are those evangelicals in our time who stand on this book to sanction the most despicable atrocities by Israel against the Palestinians. (See, Israel: Founded on Terror)

However, Pope Damasus (Bishop of Rome)was a native of Portugal who as Pope appointed St Jerome as his personal secretary and encouraging his Vulgate translation of the Bible, also presiding over the Council of Rome in 382, which set down the canon of Scripture. He also did much to encourage the veneration of the martyrs.[3]

All books have value when they are put in to the context when written. Even though we mock Spielberg and his ilk, when put in to the context of our modern times, it shows the programming that Nation States subject their citizens to.
The Bible is an excellent book however, I believe it’s been flawed by the hand of mankind and centuries of manipulation.
Like having a time machine to see what your neighborhood looked like a 1000 years ago. It would be nice to have known what the original Bible conveyed to us. It would have no doubt told us all the secrets but I believe somewhat like in Spielberg’s Freudian Slip in Indiana Jones, the truth has been locked away in a warehouse somewhere to prevent us from ever learning “the terrible truth”.

As I STATED, (both here and on Rense.com @ http://rense.com/general93/esther.htm NOW being read by tens of thousands of Rense readers, REFUTING Rev Pike’s ERROR), the Yahweh of the Old Testament is the Lord Jesus Christ, WHO HAD A DIFFERENT “Polity” for the “Israel of God” than the NEW “Polity” He enacted in the New Testament.
This is how the Holy Fathers of the Orthodox Church UNDERSTANDS the DIFFERENCE between the two Covenants.
ONCE AGAIN – Reverend Ted Pike and ALL THOSE who AGREE with him in DENYING the Book of Esther to be part of the Canon are treading on very scary ground of “subtracting” what “is written.”

Although Reverend Ted Pike means well in his effort to plug the flow from which Zionism may find its fountainhead by denying the Book Of Esther as being part of the Old Testament canon, I find him chargeable of “throwing out the baby with the bathwater.”
Indeed, the BIBLICAL Book of Esther is TOTALLY MISUNDERSTOOD by the Synagogue, Christian Zionists, AND sadly, Rev Ted Pike, for this book MUST BE UNDERSTOOD in its “cultural” / Old Testament Polity context.
First of all, the 4th Century AD Holy Fathers of The Holy Orthodox Church RECOGNIZED the Biblical Book of Esther to be part of the Old Testament Canon and Holy Scriptures.
It was the Holy Fathers of the Orthodox Church THAT ESTABLISHED the Biblical Canon of BOTH the Old and New Testaments.
In Lecture IV of St Cyril of Jerusalem of the 4th Century AD to those preparing for baptism — he states SPECIFICALLY that the Book of Esther is part of the Biblical Canon.
St John of Damascus of the 9th Century in his “Exposition of The Orthodox Faith” asserts the same.
Now, in TRULY understanding the Biblical Book of Esther, the Orthodox Church teaches that The “Israel of God” – THE CHURCH – was ABOUT to be wiped out throughout the Persian Empire, which would have exterminated the race from which The Messiah was to come, the Lord Jesus Christ, the Yahweh of the Old Testament.
THUS – SOMETHING DRASTIC HAD TO BE DONE.
The HIDDEN PROVIDENTIAL HAND of God, (although God is not mentioned in the Book of Esther), is SEEN in PRESERVING the Church and INSURING the coming of the Messiah Jesus to overturn the curse of death by using Queen Esther to avert the annihilation of The Church, “The Israel of God,” from which the Messiah Jesus was to come.
For although Mordechai may not have had proper motives in bringing his orphaned niece Esther to the palace to be hopefully selected as the new Queen, after-wards he realized WHEN THE “Israel of God” was about to be exterminated, that his niece had come be Queen for “SUCH A TIME AS THIS” so that she could SAVE The Church and preserve the race from which the Messiah Jesus Christ was to come.
The Jewish people of today have forfeited the right to be called the “Israel of God” since they denied, yes, and even their leaders crucified their true Messiah, Jesus Christ.
And in still using the methodologies of the Old Testament of “warfare” which the New Testament did away with, (although wars of justifiable self-defense are allowed by the Orthodox Church), the Jewish people, as focused in their rogue State of Israel, use the Book of Esther and the attendant Feast of Purim, to perpetuate hatred toward the Gentiles through violent means.
This said, by “throwing out the baby with the bathwater,” that is denying the Book of Esther as being part of the Biblical canon, Reverend Ted Pike avoids one error by making an even more serious error in using his own opinion to decide which books of the Bible are valid and which are not.
This could only lead to denying the ENTIRE Bible as valid. I call upon my good friend Reverend Ted Pike to thus see his error and correct it.

Because he is reading it from the tampered Masoretic Text and not from the AUTHENTIC TEXT, THE SEPTUAGINT!!!!!!
As an Orthodox Christian, I know what the original and correct Bible is. It was canonized by the Orthodox Church and is STILL used by the Orthodox Church.

Dear in Christ, Rev. Ted Pike,
Your disdain for the book of Esther is understandable, since its Masoretic version is written in a purely political perspective and does not even mention the name of God even once. The original text is however preserved in the Septuagint.
If you read it in the link below you will see that several paragraphs have been completely deleted by the Jews after the Pharisaic council of Yavneh (Jamnia) in 90 AD and by the Masoretes up to the 11th century.
The vision of Mordechai, the prayers of Esther and Mordechai, and the Macedonian nationality of Haman have been excised by the Jews.
The Jews tampered with the Masoretic text for centuries, until it was finally fixed in the 11th century. It is tragically the text used in the Catholic and Protestant translations, whereas the Orthodox Bible is based on the Septuagint.

The Old Testament of the Orthodox Church, the Church established by the Lord Jesus Christ, is the translation into Greek of the Hebrew text (now lost) made by Jews in the 3rd century B.C.
It is known as the Septuagint (from the Latin septuaginta, seventy, because legend has it that seventy or seventy two translators were said to have done the work: it is abbreviated LXX).
Some version of the LXX was cited by the Lord Jesus Christ and His Apostles in the New Testament, and by the Holy Fathers of the Orthodox Catholic Church.
Saint John Chrysostomos (+ 407) explains:
“So long as (the Old Testament)… remained in the Hebrew tongue, nobody at that time was likely to be interested in it, the rest of the human race (non Israelites) being reduced to utter savagery.
“But when Christ was due to appear and call the whole world to Himself, not only through the Apostles but also through the Old Testament authors — for they too guide us to faith in the knowledge of Christ — then it was that He caused the Old Testament works, like some entrances and paths previously closed by the obscurity of the language, to be opened up to all-comers through translation, so that all who came flooding in all directions from the nations and traveling these paths might succeed through them in coming to the kingdom of the inspired authors …, adoring the Only-Begotten Son of God.”
“That was the reason that even before the time of the coming of Christ they were all translated, since if they had remained in the Hebrew idiom alone — and yet David had said, ‘Ask of Me (God the Father) and I shall give You (God the Son) the nations for Thy inheritance, and the ends of the Earth as Thy possession’ (PSALM 2:8)— how would the Syrian or the Galatian or the Macedonian or the Athenian have been likely to realize what was said, with Scripture remaining in obscurity?”
“Likewise, Isaiah cried out, ‘He was led like a sheep to the slaughter, like a lamb mute before its shearer’ (ISAIAH 53:7); and again, ‘There will be a root of Jesse, and one rising to rule nations: in Him nations will hope’ (ISAIAH 11:1); and again, ‘The Earth will be filled with the knowledge of the Lord, like floods of water covering seas’ (ISAIAH 11:9). And David further said, ‘God ascended with a shout, the Lord with sound of a trumpet’ (PSALM 47:5); and again, ‘The Lord said to my lord, Sit on My right hand until I put Thy enemies under Thy feet’ (PSALM 110:1).”
“Since, then, the Old Testament foretold the Passion, the Resurrection, the Ascension, the Seat at the right hand, His Second Coming, and in short all the contents of the New (Testament), Divine Grace before the coming of Christ arranged for the translation of the Scriptures (from Hebrew into Greek), lest these things remain unknown to the nations due to come later, and they be unacquainted with the force of Old Testament composition.
“It was to render (the Old Testament scriptures) useful, not for those from the nations alone, but also for those Jews scattered everywhere throughout the world who had lost the Hebrew language.”
The 1851 translation of the Septuagint by Sir Lancelot C.L. Brenton is virtually the only version in English, and is therefore valuable.
The writings from which all modern Roman Catholic and Protestant Bibles render the Old Testament are known as the Masoretic text, from massorah, the vast body of notes on pronunciation, accents, and variant sources written — from 600 A.D. to the 10th century — in the margins and at the end of manuscripts by Jewish scribes known as Masoretes (God tells the house of Israel through the prophet Ezekiel: “I will take note of you as you pass under My rod. And I will bring you into the bond [be-ma-so-ret] of the covenant” [EZEKIEL 20:77]).
This later Hebrew text, the Masoretic Text (abbreviated MT) is often corrupt — one rabbi said it is twenty five per cent unintelligible — and filled with anti-Christian emendations.
In her book ECUMENISM: A PATH TO PERDITION (on line at ecumenism.tripod.com) Dr. Ludmila Perepiolkina (now an Orthodox Christian nun whose name I do not know) writes in the chapter Falsifications of Holy Scripture:
“The mission of both the Old and the New Testament Church had always been and still remains to guard and to preach the inviolate divinely-revealed Faith and God’s Promises, the Holy Scriptures and Tradition.
“Well known is the particular care with which the text of the Scriptures was guarded in the Old Testament times, when every Biblical manuscript which was damaged or contained mistakes was subject to destruction, when no one having some speech defect could even be admitted to reading aloud from the Scriptures in public.
“The ancient Church translation of the Old Testament books into Greek, the so-called Septuagint, was accomplished in the 3rd century B.C. by the specially appointed and God-chosen men, and it was done with all possible precautions and reverence, and under the direct protective guidance of the Heavenly Church …
“Worthy of the original (Hebrew) are the canonical translations accomplished by holy men in the New Testament Church: that of Blessed Hieronoymus (Jerome), translating from the Old Hebrew, with due regard for the Septuagint (at first: he later changed his mind), into Latin; and of the Saints Equal to the Apostles Methodios and Kyril (translating from the Greek text of the Septuagint) adapted by the Church into Church Slavonic.
“From the period of the Reformation onwards …, translations of the Bible into ethnic languages appearing in the West already have an imprint of Protestant teaching, such as Luther’s… In the most recent times there are no longer any restrictive barriers to the development of even the most extreme and blasphemous false teachings.
“The spectrum of translations and transpositions of the Bible has widened accordingly.
“It could not have been otherwise, inasmuch as Holy Scripture belongs only to the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church, and its use out of contact with the ecclesiastic and Patristic tradition — and even in opposition to it, which is characteristic of all religious communities that have fallen away from the Orthodox Faith — inevitably entails distortion of …Scripture.
“According to the Fathers, one who is outside the sacramental communion of the Church cannot but deviate into heresy and away from preaching true Orthodoxy.
“Human folly is not the only cause of distortion of truth. The word of God is hateful to the ‘father of lies,’ the devil, who, with the help of his minions, attempts to pervert it in every way possible.
“With the falling away from God of those who became His killers and called down upon themselves and their descendants the Blood of the Son of God Whom they crucified (MATTHEW 27:25), there began a conscious corruption of the Old Testament books once carefully guarded by (the Jews). Messianic prophecies were the first to undergo this corruption.
” ‘Rabbis corrupted the contents of the Scriptures to suit their own malicious intentions …, and (they) still keep modifying it,’ wrote Euthymios of Chodovo in 1705 (CONTRIBUTION OF THE SAINT PETERSBURG THEOLOGICAL ACADEMY TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF BIBLE STUDIES, Hieromonk Aleksy, Moscow 1986, p. 205)… Such accusations have been heard since Apostolic times … In (the Masoretic text) practically all prophecies about the Savior of the world have been distorted in such a manner that they could not be seen as referring to the Person of Our Lord Jesus Christ.”
For example: in GENESIS 49:10 the LXX says “A ruler shall not fall from Juda (the tribe which began with Judah the son of Jacob, the tribe from which will come the Messiah, the Anointed One, the Christ), nor a prince from his loins, until there come the things stored up for him (the prince from Juda’s loins is the Messiah, the Anointed One, the Christ), and He is the expectation of the nations.” That last sentence is not in the MT.
In the LXX HOSEA 6:2 says: “On the third day He shall raise up and we shall live.” The MT says “on the third day He shall restore us,” dimming the reference to the Resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.
In the MT missing from HABAKKUK 3:5 are the words, “Before His face shall go the Word (Logos),” that is, the Lord Jesus Christ.
In the LXX Isaiah 42:19 says, “And who is blind but My servants?” (plural). The MT, though, says, “And who is blind but my servant?” (singular). Jews use the MT to demonstrate, to their satisfaction, that the Lord Jesus Christ cannot be the servant depicted in Isaiah, because their text says the servant is blind. Yet the older text, the LXX, says “servants” — which means all Israel is blind, but not Christ.
In the LXX MIKAH 6:15 prophesies the passing away of the Law which Christ gave through Moses: “You shall sow, but you shall not reap; you shall press the olive, but you shall not anoint yourself with oil; and shall make wine, but you shall drink none: and the ordinances of My people shall be utterly abolished:” the MT omits the last sentence.
The LXX AMOS 4:13 proclaims “For behold, I am He Who strengthens the thunder and creates the wind and proclaims to men His Christ.” The Masoretes omitted the last phrase.
In the LXX Habakkuk says, “For the vision is yet for a time, and it shall shoot forth at the end, and not in vain; though He should tarry, wait for Him, for He will surely come and will not tarry.” The Masoretes rendered “He” as “it”, to de-Christify the sacred text.
Well, the pre-Christian pre-Masorete Jewish translators who gave us the LXX rendered the words that the pre-incarnate Christ spoke to Moses from the burning bush — ’EHYEH ASHER EHYEH’ — as εγω ειμι ο ων (ego imi o on).
In Orthodox Christian icons the nimbus that surrounds the head of Christ is inscribed ο ων, which means “He Who Is.” By this means the iconographers were transmitting the Orthodox Christian teaching that Jesus Christ is GOD, He Who spoke to Moses. He has not tarried.
Discovery of the Qumran manuscripts (Dead Sea Scrolls) …, relating to the first century B.C. (i.e., to the pre-Masoretic period) has conclusively resolved in favor of the Septuagint, the centuries-old controversy of the comparative merits of the Hebrew and Greek texts of the Old Testament.
It has turned out that the manuscripts removed from the Qumran caves contain all the variants of the text which are available in the Greek Septuagint manuscripts and which seemingly undermine their authority. Nevertheless, these conclusions are hushed up … [by the Jews and the modernist so-called scholars].
Along with the widespread modernizations of liturgical language and rites, the introduction of the Western Gregorian calendar, and other countless concessions to the spirit of the times, these translations based on the Masoretic text increasingly destroy the link of these churches with their own Orthodox past, and prepare the ground for any further reforms aimed at the creation of the ecumenical pseudo-church of Antichrist.”
Because of this tampering with the Masoretic text, Jewish scholars cannot support their claim that the MT brings us closer to the language in which God spoke to man.
Indeed, even the Jewish translators of TANAKH (that is the Torah, the Neviim, and the Ketuvim; the Pentateuch, the Prophets, and the Writings): A NEW TRANSLATION OF THE HOLY SCRIPTURES ACCORDING TO THE TRADITIONAL HEBREW TEXT (The Jewish Publication Society, Philadelphia, New York, Jerusalem, 1985), after asserting that their work “represents the collaboration of academic scholars from the three largest branches of organized Jewish religious life in America” (xv), admit that sometimes the translators “did not understand a word or passage” (xviii).
The Jewish author of the preface offers the opinion that “the prophetic books contain many passages whose meaning is uncertain” (xix), and yet Jews are “certain” that those passages are not about Jesus Christ.
For instance, concerning DANIEL 9:26, which says the anointed one will be destroyed, the editor writes: “meaning of Hebrew uncertain.” For him, it must be uncertain, for it is about the Lord Jesus Christ! The author of the preface admits that “to provide an intelligent rendering, modern scholars have restored to emending the Hebrew text” (xix).
He admits, too, that some of these emendations came from the LXX! The old Hebrew text from which the LXX was made was of course more accurate than the Hebrew texts which compose the Masoretic tradition.
The author of the preface even admits that “the traditional accentuation occasionally has been replaced by an alternative construction.” His final admission: “The as yet imperfect understanding of the language of the Bible or what appears to be some disorder in the Hebrew text makes sure translation of many passages impossible” (xx).
And yet Jewish Biblical scholarship is founded on the assumption that the MT is superior to the LXX. But even the rabbis of the Talmud, the written collection of oral teachings which the Pharisees and their spiritual descendants the rabbis claimed God gave to Moses on Mount Sinai, say that God Himself inspired the hearts of each of translators of the LXX (MEGILLA 9a), which would include the translation of ISAIAH 7:14 as “a virgin (παρθένος) will be with child and will give birth to a son…,” an 8th century B.C. prophecy of the Virgin Conception and Birth of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Saint Justin Martyr (+ 150) tells us that the Jews “had altogether taken away many Scriptures from the translations effected by those seventy elders.”
Therefore we should be very suspicious of the Roman Catholic and Protestant, and now Pseudo-Orthodox, tradition of using the Masoretic text as the source for the Old Testament.
The SEPTUAGINT is the original and true WORD OF GOD, without any shadow of a doubt!!!!!!!!!
The SEPTUAGINT IS THE OLD TESTAMENT OF THE ORTHODOX CHURCH!!!!!
The Jewish and Protestant custom of substituting for the Name Yahweh the words “the LORD” is well known. Jewish scribes, thousands of times, pointed (gave vowel signs to) the Name Yahweh — which is part of the Hebrew verb “to be,” and it means HE IS — so that the reader would pronounce it “Adonai,” which means “Lord.”
They did this thinking they were showing the Almighty respect by not causing whoever would read the text to utter the Name of God and thereby relegate Him to the mundane realm of just another thing among things.
We’re told the Jewish scribes were trying to preserve the otherness of God, so they would have the reader say Adonai (Lord) each time the original text had said Yahweh. The Protestant translators of the King James Bible (1611) rendered Adonai (truly, Yahweh) in English as “the LORD,” the capitals meaning, “The Name of God, Yahweh, was originally used, but we Protestants shall adopt the Jewish custom and have you the reader avoid pronouncing it, as if we were all ‘pious’ Jews.
The Protestants adopted the Jewish canon chosen by the rabbis at Yavneh in 90 A.D. and excluded the seven so-called apocryphal books (TOBIT, JUDITH, FIRST MACCABEES, SECOND MACCABEES, ECCLESIASTICUS, WISDOM, and the longer version of ESTHER), all of which the Jews who had translated the Septuagint had included in the 3rd century BC.
These so-called apocryphal books were however included in the first edition of the King James Bible!
Of course both the Jews and the Protestants are gravely in error, since Yahweh Himself says, “This Is My Name for all time: thus I am to be invoked for all generations” (EXODOS 3:15). How can we invoke the Name without being able to read it or say it?
Furthermore, and most important, I repeat: one sees on Orthodox Christian icons in the nimbus surrounding the sacred head of the Lord Jesus Christ the inscription “ο ων,” that is, “εγω ειμι ο ων,” the Greek translation of what God spoke to Moses, out of the burning bush: “I Am He Who Is” (EXODOS 3:15): Jesus Christ is Yahweh — as is the Father and as is the Holy Spirit, for God is indivisibly Triune.
I have demonstrated that the Jews have distorted and changed the original text of the Old Testament with a palimpsest of multiple emendations, which is what the present Masoretic Text really is.
I have also demonstrated that the Septuagint, used exclusively by the Orthodox Church, is the correct original text, which is used in all OT quotes in the New Testament.
For example:
St. Steven the Proto-Martyr says that a total of 75 souls went down with Jacob to Egypt, including Joseph and his family.
Acts 7:[14] Then sent Joseph, and called his father Jacob to him, and all his kindred, threescore and fifteen souls.
The Masoretic text (MT) contradicts the NT and says 70 souls.
Genesis 46:27 (MT) All the souls of the house of Jacob, which came into Egypt, were threescore and ten.
The SEPTUAGINT (LXX), however, gives the correct number, the same as in the New Testament.
Genesis 46:27 (LXX) All the souls of the house of Jacob who came with Joseph into Egypt, were seventy-five souls.
Food for thought!
Since the Jews distorted the OT, they would also surely strive to distort the NT, with their allies, the wayward “churchians,” the liberals, atheists, and humanists.

That is an excellent reply too, Nate, I never looked at it in that vain, but you are right, the race had to be preserved for the Messiah to come forward.
Also, we mustn’t forget in the Old Testament: divinity had not yet become man, or have the “human experience” it is also why you see such a paradigm shift from an “eye for eye” to “turn the other cheek.
Why would anyone not want to keep posting? It is just Pike’s opinion, he put his opinion forward, and you gave an equally good retort from your Orthodox dogma and teaching.

FWIW, the Dead Sea Scrolls contain sections of scripture from all of the Books of the Old Testament EXCEPT the book of Esther.

The discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls does not prove anything.
But – it should make all CHristians feel better about the MINIMALITY of human error in Bible translation and transcription over the centuries, and better about the possibility of manipulated Bibles
A pleasant thought that may be true is that God planned this discovery to answer that very possible doubt people had about the authenticity.
According to sources I trust (such as the below YouTube video) the words in the Dead Sea Scrolls match up very very closely and accurately to today’s Old Testament

Like Brother Nathanael says this lack of discovery of the Book of Esther in the Dead Sea Scrolls doesn’t prove anything either way about the legitimacy of the book of Esther
However, I think it is somewhat significant that all the other books were found except for the book of the Esther. It might even be an argument FOR the authenticity of the Book of Esther, it also might be an argument against its authenticity.
For now, I don’t share Bro Nathanael’s reverence for the opinions of the Holy Fathers of the Orthodox Church, though I have nothing against them either.

As a devout Catholic, I accept everything Holy Mother Church teaches, including the Book of Esther. I just thought it was interesting that the Dead Sea Scrolls (DSS) contain no evidence of that one book. Not sure what that means.
Another recent and possibly *more” exciting archeological find was discovered in Jordanian caves a few years ago, near the caves where the DSS were found. An Israeli Bedouin found/bought/stole little books of lead codices with images of Jesus which have been scientifically dated to around 2,000 years ago.
So how does Israel get their hands on these finds? The Jordanian government is demanding their return, since by International law antiquities belong to the country in which they are discovered. Good luck with that. Israel still won’t return the DSS! Interestingly, the Israeli Bedouin now has an attorney from Haifa!
A rich New York Jewish businessman bought the DSS and donated them to Israel. They were put up for sale in the Wall Street Journal on June 1,1954 by Syrian Orthodox Metropolitcan Athanasius Yeshue Samuel.
Of course, we don’t NEED the DSS or codices or the Shroud of Turin to confirm our faith, but it’s exciting to think we could find empirical evidence of at least the early Jewish converts’ belief in the Messiah to corroborate the New Testament. Kind of like the True Cross that St. Helen found in the Holy Land, i.e., not necessary but nice to have nonetheless.
If these codices support a finding that Christ was the Messiah, look for Israel to control them and never release them.

Please know that Orthodoxy is the biggest, most important treasure that you have inherited. it is most important, most valuable, by far even from your Greekness, which I am sure you are very proud of – and rightly so.
If there is anything at all that you should keep hold of from your heritage, then it is the True and Orthodox Cristian Faith.
But the heavenly gifts of the Spirit, are so much more valuable than the gifts of the flesh.
Therefore, please consider looking more into the Orthodox Faith, and I mean the real faith, the theology, dogmas,methods and practices and recover this treasure for yourself.
The Septuagint, as many stated before me, is the authoritative text, written in the indisputable defining language of Christianity, which is Greek. That’s not to say that other languages cannot be used in Christianity of course, but it rather means that Greek was by the grace of God, used in order to preserve the integrity and specificity of the written Word.
This is because, Greek is the ultimate God given tool for describing something specifically, without ambiguity and error. And this is NOT because of the Greeks ,for Greek belongs to anyone who cares to be specific, and not just the Greeks, but rather because of Gods providence and preparation of the “grounds” so that Greek could eventually be used to preserve scripture.
And it was not only scripture that was preserved in this way. Christianity’s defining dogmas and theology, were almost all expressed in Greek, for the same reasons and by the providence of God. Take a look at the first 7 ecumenical councils, the Creed (or Symbol of the faith) and the writings of the Fathers, on which any later “version” of Christianity was based on. They were all recorded in Greek.
The reason for this, I am sure to the dismay of many westerners, is far from just circumstantial as I stated above.
The Old Testament, is absolutely NO exception to this fact. Again, by the providence of the Holy Spirit, it was made so, that it was written in Greek, so that in that specific version, the integrity of what is written and expressed remains safe, indisputable, unmodifiable and incorruptible.
For any attempt to corrupt it, will lead to heresy. a single example of this, is the obvious “filioque” change that the Roman religious community has taken upon it self to introduce and support. The result? Blasphemous heresy.
And a more hands on view:
Not only does the Septuagint predate the Masorah, but, it was the Septuagint that was quoted by Jesus Christ, and generally in the New Testament.
In contradiction to what the western world believes, Jesus Christ and certainly His Apostles, were saturated in the prevalent for the time Greek Hellenistic culture, which of course included at least basic knowledge of Greek, if not extensive knowledge. This situation compares well to the prevalence of the English language in practically all nations today, where people of most nations know at least a little bit of English, of not taught to a good level at school from an early age.
And this was something that was present for many years before the Arrival of Jesus Christ in this world. And this is the practical reason for the existence of the Septuagint in the first place, so that the Hebrews of that time, who knew Greek better than the Hebrew of the time, could read the Scripture from a text that was fully understandable.
Take for example:
A quote of Psalm 40 (or 39 depending on which version you have), is used VERBATIM, in the New Testament Hebrews 10:6. The quote in Greek, matches EXACTLY the Septuagint (no need to know greek to see that the words are matched exactly):
As quoted in the New Testament:
θυσίαν καὶ προσφορὰν οὐκ ἠθέλησας, σῶμα δὲ κατηρτίσω μοι· 6 ὁλοκαυτώματα καὶ περὶ ἁμαρτίας οὐκ εὐδόκησας· 7 τότε εἶπον· ἰδοὺ ἥκω, ἐν κεφαλίδι βιβλίου γέγραπται περὶ ἐμοῦ, τοῦ ποιῆσαι, ὁ Θεός, τὸ θέλημά σου.
As written in the Septuagint:

Thus, it is the Septuagint that is validated trough the New Testament. And not the Masorah based collection of writings that in many cases have changes which are there obviously to usurp and alter the meaning of the Old Testament, not the least of which, is the Prophecies of our Saviour Jesus Christ.
I am afraid, that this kind of comparison, can ONLY be done with the original language of the Bible. It is therefore wise for any seekers to at least consider that what they believe about the Bible, cannot be verified until they can know for sure, what the Truth is in the original texts.
As I said before, it is NOT required to know Greek to be a Christian. However, if a need arises to verify and validate scripture or any Christian Dogma, then, referring back to the Greek, is the way to find out the Truth.

It must be obvious to anyone, that if what Ted Pike claims is wrong, which it is of course, then, a couple of serious questions are automatically raised, to any thinking person:
1) If this prevalent protestant thinking is so wide spread and so wrong, then what other errors are also prevalent within these communities?
2) And if there are serious errors in the understanding of the origin of scripture and acceptance of the full scripture, then, is it not time, to correct these errors and return to the original Church, who have kept their faith correct, unaltered and genuine?
The answer to 1) is obviously, yes, there is a severe lack of understanding of the Christian Faith, Jesus Christ, His message, the Church and it’s traditions, within these communities.
The answer to 2) is then obviously, yes, it is time that whoever wants to be 100% correct and 100% Christian, then they MUST reconsider what community they belong to, and MUST try to understand fully the full extent and depth of Christianity.
It is time, to shed their “fear of the Jews” and stick closely and faithfully with the WHOLE Truth and nothing but, REGARDLESS of the consequences…

The 11 to 16 books of the Apocrypha were written in the 400 years between the close of the Old Testament and the beginning of the New. While the Roman Catholic and Greek Orthodox churches treat some of these books as Scripture, Protestant Christians never have. Why is this?
The Jews never considered them as part of the Hebrew Scriptures. They believed that there was, throughout that period, no voice of the prophets in Israel. They looked forward to a day when “a faithful prophet” would appear (1 Maccabees 9:27).
For the Jews, God’s revelation of the Scriptures through the prophets ended around 430 BC with the book of Malachi.
Jesus and the Apostles never considered the Apocrypha as part of the Scriptures. Although there are hundreds of quotations and allusions to the Old Testament in the New Testament, never did Jesus or the apostles quote from the Apocrypha.
Incidentally, the authors of the Bible do refer to other books, but this does not make them Scripture. For example, Jude 14–15 refers to the book of Enoch, which is not part of the Roman Catholic Apocrypha.
Unlike the Old Testament prophets, none of the books of the Apocrypha ever claimed divine authority. Some parts of the Apocrypha contain historical blunders.
The community who copied the Dead Sea scrolls never gave the same authority to books of the Apocrypha as to the Old Testament books.”

“Who is pushing the Septuagint?
So why do we still hear the story? Why do people give it a second thought? Are there other reasons why they still try to use the Septuagint to find “original readings” that were supposedly “lost from the Hebrew”?.
1. Roman Catholics Need It
According to the Roman Catholic Douay Bible:
“…the Septuagint, the Greek translation from the original Hebrew, and which contained all the writings now found in the Douay version, as it is called, was the version used by the Saviour and his Apostles and by the Church from her infancy, and translated into Latin, known under the title of Latin Vulgate, and ever recognized as the true version of the written word of God” —Preface,1914 edition.
So Roman Catholics desperately want the Septuagint to be genuine —even inspired! You see, the so-called Septuagint is where they got the Apocrypha (books that are not inspired and have no place in our Bibles). If the Septuagint goes, then the Apocrypha goes with it!
2. Ecumenical Textual Critics Need It
The supposed text of the Septuagint is found today only in certain manuscripts. The main ones are: Codex Sinaiticus (Aleph); Codex Vaticanus (B); and Codex Alexandrinus (A). That’s right. The Alexandrian manuscripts are the very texts we call the Septuagint!
In his Introduction to The Septuagint with Apocrypha: Greek and English (1851) Sir Lancelot Brenton describes how some critical scholars have attempted to call the Septuagint by its real name, the Alexandrian Text, but the name never stuck. Thus he admits that they are one and the same.
So we have textual critics who believe desperately in the 45 Alexandrian manuscripts (against more than 5,000 copies favoring the Textus Receptus). They use these to translate all modern New Testaments. But these Alexandrian manuscripts also include the Septuagint Old Testament (with the Apocrypha). They have fallen for a trap.
Catholics now argue the following: If you accept the Alexandrian text (which modern scholars use as the basis for all new translations) for your New Testament, then you also have to accept the rest of the Alexandrian text (Septuagint), which includes the Apocrypha. What we are seeing is the development of an ecumenical Bible, including the Apocrypha. Some versions have already gone this way. For many Protestants, all roads are truly leading to Rome.
3. We Don’t Need It.
But do we Christians need the Alexandrian manuscripts? Not at all! For the Old Testament we have the Preserved Words of God in the Hebrew Masoretic text. For the New Testament we have the 5,000-plus manuscripts in Greek, plus the many early translations spread abroad, to witness to the actual words of Christ and His apostles.
So the Septuagint story is a hoax. It was not written before Christ; so it was not used by Jesus or His apostles. It is the only set of manuscripts to include the Apocrypha mixed in with the books of the Bible, so as to justify the Roman Catholic inclusion of them in their Bibles. And it is just those same, perverted Alexandrian codices — the same ones that mess up the New Testament — dressed up in pretty packaging.
Let’s stick to our preserved Bible, the King James Bible in English, and leave the Alexandrian perversions alone.”

In support of your most needed lesson about the Masoretic Texts vs. The Septuagint, I would like to offer this research in support:
The difference between the texts could not be more striking than in the case of Judges 19:2. Here the Jews have added a whole sentence to the original text:
LXX: Judges 19:2 “but his concubine left him and returned to the house of her father, to Bethlehem in Judah. She returned there for four months”
Masoretic Text: Judges 19:2 “And his concubine played the harlot against him, and went away from him unto her father’s house to Beth-lehem-judah and stayed there four whole months.”
What we appear to have here is a revision of the text which intends to make the Levite’s actions appear at least to be superficially justified, whereas the LXX makes it pretty clear that she is an innocent victim of abuse at the hands of all the men who use her.
This is consistent with the historical and ongoing need of the Christ-rejecting Pharisee rabbis for self-justification and the appearance of aggrieved or victim status.
Another interesting tie-in, is that the most authoritative book in Judaism, the Babylonian Talmud (not the Torah which is only to be interpreted through the Talmud) says that the Blessed Virgin “played the harlot” herself, and she too was from Bethlehem in Judah, making it seem possible that this post-Christian revision of the OT was intended to cast aspersions on our most pure and faithful saint by way of implying that the women of Bethlehem were always whores:
Sanhedrin 106a . Says Jesus’ mother was a whore: “She who was the descendant of princes and governors played the harlot with carpenters.” Also in footnote #2 to Shabbath 104b it is stated that in the “uncensored” text of the Talmud it is written that Jesus mother, “Miriam the hairdresser,” had sex with many men…
Perhaps the Masoretic Text even does symbolic violence to her, as she is in some way symbolically tied to this unnamed concubine from Bethlehem.
In fact, there is little or no justification (except where the Masoretic text has been added to for this explicit purpose) for anything the Levite does in Judges 19. From the outset we have a member of the priest class behaving in a hard hearted and self-serving manner. He takes a concubine, which is a lawful wife but one who is only entitled to room and board, a sort of live in sex slave. While the law permits this, it does not bless it.
Second, she returns to her father to get away from him, presumably (in the LXX) because he abuses her. The Levite shows up to claim his property, her father tries to persuade him to stay there for his daughter’s sake, detaining him for several days with generous hospitality, but the Levite owns his daughter by law, and eventually takes her away again. On the road they stay as guests in the Gibeah, a city of Bejaminites, where as in Sodom the men of the city demand to rape the Levite. Instead, the cowardly Hebrew abandons his wife to be savagely beaten and raped by the men and he goes back inside.
Beaten from head to toe, the concubine has only strength left to crawl to the threshold of the house where her husband is staying, but instead of being brought in and ministered to, she is left out in the cold to die while the Levite gets a good nights sleep. In the morning he loads her up on his donkey like a sack of potatoes, and upon returning home cuts her body apart, which is presumably so revolting in appearance being covered from head to toe in bruises and cuts, that it tells a story and gives evidence to what happened to the twelve tribes.
Following that is a war in which the key episode is repentance and oblation to the ark of the covenant at Bethel before Israel is granted victory over the Benjaminites by divine providence. But, disturbingly, the story ends by saying that even after that, “…every man did that which was right in his own eyes” (Judges 21:25) Compare this to the New Age and Witchcraft motto: “Do as thou wilt shall be the whole of the law.”

What Christ was trying to teach the Jews who were under the thrall of the Pharisees was that they were NOT to allow these pseudo-religious leaders to USURP the authority of God in their relationship to the people = WHICH = as Michael A Hoffman points out in his book, Judaism Discovered, the Jewish leaders EVEN TODAY still do in their Talmudic mind-set.

There is another angle which I personally have of the Old Testament stories.
What if God chose those known today as the Jews to try to save them from his severe chastisement for their manifold sins? What if those known today as Jews have for thousands, perhaps millions, of years been guilty of the same sins. The sins of their father, the devil whom they follow. God is eternally merciful and this could be why he chose them.
He sent his son, Yeshua-Jesus, through them to ask for their reprentance from their sins. Sins that all of the prophets had accused them of. God, the Father, even promised to blot out the sins of their past if they would do so. But they never did.
Throughout the Old Testament, the Jews are shown as killing everyone in sight. Could this be the reason that God himself made the Old Testament part of the bible? He wanted the world to see just how bloody they were? And how will they be saved if they are to be saved? Only God knows.

Donna, one thing I learned that prior to creating the Universe, Adam, and Eve, God had issues with Lucifer who rebelled Him.
He was cast to the earth. However, God had to show his justice by creating man in His image to worship him by free-will and not by a robotic machine.
When the Serpent saw God had created man in the garden of Eden and the beautiful nature for man’s sustenance, the serpent was envious. The story goes on to show that Eve was deceived and the human race fell short to the glory of God.
Not only the first human creatures had to leave the garden of Eden, but received a judgment and were cursed.. (Genesis). Thereafter, Satan the Lucifer held the key to death and Hades. His rampant deception we are witnessing today.
God in His wisdom used His own Son reincarnate God to die for us so that by His death we can be healed. Yeshua/Jesus holds the key to death and Hades.
We have everlasting life in Yeshua; He paid it all. He has defeated Lucifer and his time is short.
Discussing about the Jewish remnant, they are rebellious despite seeing many miracles of God. They need a new birth in Yeshua rather than the laws.
The law is good, but does not bring in the salvation of deliverance. Only by confession and faith in His son Yeshua that they can have a new life.
God is patient and long suffering and He in His perfect plan of redemption will deliver Israel from bondage of sin and wickedness.
God cannot be mocked and his justice is for sure. His patience should never be underestimated. God’s words stand forever true.
During Noah’s time, people mocked at him while he took many years to build the ark. He warned people and lo and behold, the rain and flood arrived!

One of the reasons that the West TODAY is so corrupt is that since the early 1900s most people in the West do NOT read the King James Bible or other Bible translations based on the Textus Receptus!
Most people TODAY read Bibles translated from CORRUPTED manuscripts (e.g. Septuagint) from Alexandria, Egypt. Alexandria at that time was the hotbed of occultism:

Antioch vs. Alexandria
“…the about 5250 manuscripts of the New Testament can be divided into two groups: the vast majority coming from Antioch (the original text) and a very small minority from Alexandria (the spurious text).
Alexandria and Egypt are mentioned in the Bible exclusively in a negative way: see GENESIS 12:10-12; EXODUS 1:11-14; EXODUS 20:2; DEUTERONOMY 4:20; DEUTERONOMY 17:16; REVELATION 11:8; ACTS 6:9; ACTS 18:24; Acts 21; ACTS 27:6.
Alexandria was a centre of education and philosophy (COLOSSIANS 2:8) which it received from Athens in about 100 B.C. (ACTS 17:16). There was a school of the Scriptures founded there by one Pantaenus who was a philosopher.
Pantaenus interpreted scripture both philosophically and allegorically. That is to say that philosophically he believed truth to be relative, not absolute. He did not believe that the Bible was infallible.
By looking at the Bible allegorically he believed that men such as Adam, Noah, Moses, and David existed only in Jewish poetry and were not true historical characters. He was succeeded as head of the school by Clement of Alexandria and later by Origen. Men who shared his scepticism.
It was Origen, deceived by the duel intoxicants of education and philosophy who upon receipt of pure copies of scripture altered them to parallel his twisted thinking.
He is the father of all Bible critics and is not only responsible for the physical manuscripts which delete such verses as LUKE 24:40, ACTS 8:37 and 1 JOHN 5:7, but he is also responsible for the Alexandrian philosophy parroted by so many of our fundamental scholars who claim that “The Bible is perfect and infallible” with one breath and then state, “The Bible has mistakes and mistranslations” with the very next.
It is this demented ideology that gave birth to the corrupt Alexandrian manuscripts in the first place. Thus we see that not only are the physical manuscripts of Alexandria corrupt and to be rejected, but the Alexandrian philosophy, that the Bible has mistakes in it and must be corrected, is even more subtle and dangerous and must be forsaken by true Bible believers.”

You make some credible points about Origen, but you do not properly answer the question of Old Testament texts by involving an argument about New Testament texts. It is rather fallacious to try to answer one with the other. Origen ~ 150 A.D. ; Septuagint ~ 300 B.C.
Also, your criticism of Alexandria, where Ptolemy ruled and where the Septuagint was compiled, takes on the character of a superstition rather than a principled argument. It is from Scripture that we learn that Jesus, Mary and Joseph fled to Egypt according to the instructions given by an angel of the Lord, in order to escape Herod’s wrath.
If what you suggest is true, then you imply that this was a bad idea of God’s because of how pervasive and evil the culture of Egypt was. Talk about revision! Is all this necessary in defense of the Masoretic Text? Why don’t you give us a real lesson about how good and righteous the antichrist Jews who compiled the Masoretic Texts were, so that we can learn how to rely on their superior counsel in all matters religious?

1) It is the Septuagint that is quoted in the New Testament WORD FOR WORD. Thus it is the Septuagint that is validated in the New Testament.
2) It is the Masorah which lacks whole texts and includes heavily altered texts that make the proof that Jesus Christ is indeed the Messiah.
3) The Christ-hating Jews, who compiled the Masorah, corrupted it ON PURPOSE to hide the fact that Jesus Christ is indeed the Messiah and HIDE THE FACT that Jesus Christ incarnated for ALL the nations. And why wouldn’t they? That’s their number ONE purpose in life!

Gary DeMar has a very sound teaching suggesting that the battle against the Hamanites in the Book of Esther was the fulfillment of Ezekiel’s prophecied Gog and Magog in chapters 38-39.
In other words, Esther fulfills Ezekiel and Gog and Magog already happened long ago!
It’s also important to realize that the image of Gog and Magog in Revelation 20 is not the same as that in Ezekiel 38-39.
A simple proof is that following Ezekiel’s vision the Jerusalem Temple is rebuilt, while following Revelation 20’s Gog and Magog, the Heavenly Jerusalem descends and it contains NO TEMPLE, since God is its light and Jesus its lamp.
