There’s something magical about a Russian Christmas.
With snow on the ground and winter on the breaths of the faithful, Russians enjoy their favorite holy day, the birth of our Saviour in festive joy.
One would think that Russia’s head of state would appear at the Kremlin’s Cathedrals for this special day.
Not this head of state, Vladimir Putin.
For like our Saviour born in the little town of Bethlehem, Putin chose a humble village in Voronezh to celebrate the day of Jesus’ birth last Christmas.
“Except you become as a little child you shall not enter the kingdom of heaven,” said Jesus to his disciples.
Like a true disciple of Jesus Christ, Putin took his place—not with high officials—but with little children.
By way of sad contrast, America’s president doesn’t give much credence to Christmas.
Instead, Obama celebrates Hanukkah with Jews, the same people who crucified our Saviour.
And not with children did he celebrate, but with a high official, the President of Israel.
Such is the state of affairs in our Judaized country. America has traded places with Russia.
I grew up in the 50’s and we went on “Christmas Break” while the Soviets went on “Winter Break.”
Now it’s the other way around.
Whereas Russia was once atheist, it is now Christian.
But America is now Jewish.
Why else do we see a 40 foot Hanukkah Menorah on the White House lawn every December but not a Nativity Scene to be found.
But every year, Putin appears on nationwide television wishing his fellow Russians a “Merry Christmas!”
He’s my Orthodox brother in Christ, and despite how the Jews have stolen Christmas from us, I’m hopeful.
Yes, the Jews are waging a War on Christmas here in America—the Jewish-led ACLU threatens lawsuits against towns that put up “Merry Christmas” signs—but theirs is a losing battle.
We’ve got the numbers and we’ve got the Lord Jesus Christ.

Then there’s the blowing of the shofar on the Walkway over the Hudson.

I am tired of hearing about how evil the Syrian leader Bashar Al-Assad is. He just spent time visiting a Christian church. Seems as if he is more friendly to Christians than the Israelis are. He is also a very popular leader among the Syrians.

It is, indeed, a sad day when the Ashkenazi imposters bamboozle the so-called Christians in America into bowing down before a menorah while dutifully removing any semblance of this season that we should be celebrating.
While this grieves me deeply, I see it as yet another bit of evidence that God’s judgment is befalling this nation, since He warned that ungodliness would be rewarded by a visitation of hoards of godless pagans.
We are not without hope, however, because He is ever faithful, and His discipline will soon bring this nation to its knees. I look forward in eager anticipation of His righteous judgment, and the return of all His own to true worship of Him alone.

Isaac the Syrian, also called Isaac of Nineveh, lived and wrote during “the golden age of Syriac Christian literature” in the seventh century.
Cut off by language and politics from the Churches of the Roman Empire and branded “Nestorian,” the Church of the East produced in isolation a rich theological literature which is only now becoming known to outsiders. Yet over the centuries and in all parts of Christendom, Isaac’s works have been read and recommended as unquestionably Orthodox.
This Holy Father of the 7th century, was born in the region of Qatar on the western shore of the Persian Gulf. Gifted with a keen intellect, he thirsted also for spiritual knowledge, and, when still quite young, entered a monastery with his brother.
He gained considerable renown as a teacher and came to the attention of the Katholikon Giwargis (George), who ordained him bishop of Ninevah, the former capital of Assyria some distance to the north. For reasons not entirely clear, he requested to abdicate after only five months, and went south to the wilderness of Mount Matout, a refuge for anchorites.
There he lived as a solitary for many years, in strict asceticism, eating only three loaves a week with some uncooked vegetables. His constant study of the divine writings strained his eyes, and eventually blindness and old age forced him to retire to the monastery of Shabar, where he died and was buried.
St. Isaac stands out as a theologian of love par excellence even among the saints.
Who among the Eastern Fathers has written more eloquently, more profoundly about the love of God Almighty than St Isaac the Syrian?
Once I read that St. Isaac inspired Dostoevsky’s creation of Father Zosima in The Brothers Karamazov.
“In Isaac’s understanding,” states Metropolitan Hilarion Alfeyev, “God is above all immeasurable love.
“The conviction that God is love dominates Isaac’s thought: it is the source of his theological opinions, ascetical recommendations and mystical thought” (The Spiritual World of Isaac the Syrian, pp. 35-36).

Christmas Season in Wadi Al Nasara — Valley of the Christians, Syria
Not all the suffering and atrocities committed against Christians in Syria broke the will of Al Wadi Nasara.
Rather, it strengthens their resolution and beliefs in Christ and the New Testament.
A peaceful people, they wished to remain neutral in the war, but the nihilistic, anti-life Western-backed barbarians with their phony Syrian rebel and black flags invaded the Valley anyway.
Until the Syrian army was finally able to strengthen their own positions to protect the Valley’s Christians, they were kidnapped, tortured, beheaded, murdered, abused in every way, and then began to fight back forming their own self-defense militias, supported by their Syrian Sunni-Shia-Druze-secular countrymen and women of other paramilitaries of the newly instated National Defense Forces which unified the local fighting groups.
Most of the Christians who remained in the region didn’t bank on salvation to come from Western Christendom. Certainly not after Ted Cruz spectacularly threw the Eastern Christians to the sharks in September 2014 at the In Defense of Christians Summit for Middle Eastern Christians.
Those who fled said they would prefer to die in the Valley on their own land they’ve lived on for millenia, opposed to receiving the string-laden Western charity, anyway.
There is still much to do to rebuild, many are still refugees or displaced persons, but the Christians of the Wadi Al Nasara are not ashamed of their brightly lit public displays of Crosses, Nativity Scenes, Santa Claus, and Christmas trees, community festivals, Church services, and to say Merry Christmas in lights to the world, and wish Peace and Joy on earth.
The Christians of the Valley were over-run and martyred by a black-flag hell of retrograde murderers and thugs with none of God’s love in them, and Christ never left the Christians. Their suffering was His, their martyrdom to Christ’s glory.
President Al Assad and loyal Syria stood up as martyrs for the Syrian Christians, and the Christians were given the strength by God to stand up for Syria along with their compatriots.
And we worry about what the Jews will say. We fear being called names.

If black Christians can march and protest to make Civil Rights more palatable to white people, they can certainly march with white Christians to take the devil’s pitchfork off Federal land including Washington D.C.

As an Australian I look on the great U.S.A. that has birthed many hundreds of American Christian friends I have known over a life-time.
They helped rescue us from the Japanese. General MacArthur had his headquarters in my city. My first husband was one of 600 Aussies who won against 12,000 Japanese on the tropical and rugged Kokoda Trail. He would be aghast to know of the Jews in the U.S.A. today.

More than two thousand years ago Jesus Christ was born. In the cave He lay sometimes in the arms of the young Virgin Mary and oft in His cradle. Divine light filled the scene as there was ‘God manifest in the flesh’.
The Great I Am lay there and someone has recorded that He spoke to His mother.
‘Mary’, He called, ‘I am Jesus the Son of God, that word which thou didst bring forth according to the declaration of the angel Gabriel to thee, and my father sent me for the salvation of the world’. Mr. Henry Pike, Cambridge, published this in 1697. Eusebius, Athanasius, Chrysostom and Sozomen gave credit to it.
We remember that glory shone all around as the shepherds in the field heard the acclamation by the Angel. They found Him as told when they arrived at the manger.
Who was He? Just an ordinary babe?
Ah, no. There lay the King of Glory, the Eternal Word of God, the Son of Man, the Elect, the Righteous One – the promised Christ and Redeemer.
He now is in heaven reigning on the right hand of God the Father.
Then we remember the wise men, the magi, priests and kings of Persia, skilled in astronomy and astrology as they followed the star that out-blazed all others.
They looked for the King of Israel and found Him.
On returning home guided by an angel like the star, they told out the glad news to their fellow idolaters.
Jesus Christ is born. He is for the salvation of we Gentiles.
Let us honor and worship Him.
This was the first occasion after the birth of Christ when His gospel of salvation was conveyed. And by the mouths of magician south-sayers!
Old Testament and New Testament converge in their prophecies about the Bright and Morning Star who was born and shown to them who followed a heavenly star.
Jesus Christ is that great I Am, the wonderful Savior who is our star.
So despite the fact that for the first time in 2,000 years Christian Mass will not be celebrated in Mosul, Iraq, as it is in Isil hands, there is hope.
Somehow light shines and faith arises.
Putin, Russia, were the first to receive the grace of God in a national way, from darkness of the Jews, the communists to the Light from the Russian Orthodox Church.
Hope for the world, one must surely believe. Grace again is to be out-poured on other nations.
Iraq will have its Christians and Syria also.
The U.S.A. whose President has done a political about-face, could well do a Christian about-face.
Revival as in Russia could spring forth to turn the darkness in the churches to the light of the veritable truth of the Gospel. And this to be not only regarding the evil Jews in their midst. More importantly it can be in relation to their need to leave the doctrines of devils for the eternal truth of Christ.
A political storm to obliterate those known evils could then arrive on the national scene.
One does not know but one sees gleams from the Bright and Morning Star.

Troparion (also tropar; plural troparia) is a type of hymn in Byzantine liturgical music, in the Orthodox Church and other Eastern Christian churches. It is a short hymn of one stanza, or one of a series of stanzas; this may carry the further connotation of a hymn interpolated between psalm verses in the church liturgies.
The Troparion for the Nativity of our Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ reads:
Your Nativity, O Christ our God,
Has shone to the world the Light of wisdom!
For by it, those who worshipped the stars,
Were taught by a Star to adore You,
The Sun of Righteousness,
And to know You, the Orient from on High.

I’ve not yet found the Troparion of the Nativity in Chinese, but in time the Chinese Orthodox will put one up. They are still a small community in China.
Another type of hymn is the Kontakion. It is a type of thematic hymn in the Orthodox Church and other Eastern Christian churches. Originally, the kontakion was an extended poetic homily in verse. The kontakia were so long that the text was rolled up on a pole for use in the services — the genesis of the name kontakion, which means “from the pole” in Greek.
In current practice, the kontakion has been greatly abbreviated.
The Kontakion of the Nativity used today is:

According to tradition, Saint Romanos the Melodist (Hymnographer) wrote the first kontakion, the Kontakion for the Birth of Our Lord, by divine inspiration. Saint Romanos established the kontakion in the form it retained for centuries, and he is the most famous composer of kontakia.

Very similar wording is actually found in the longer Kontakion of the Nativity of St. Romanos, which takes the form of a poetic dialog between Mary the Theotokos and the Magi. In the Kontakion, the Christ Child directly speaks to His Mother’s mind. It was also later written in the Qur’an that Jesus spoke from the cradle, pointing to a common tradition.
From St. Romanos Life and a hymn for his feast day, we learn that he was born to a Jewish family in either Emesa (modern-day Homs) or Damascus in Syria. Romanos himself was baptized as a young boy and developed a great love for the house of God.
When he came of age he served as a verger, lighting the lamps and preparing the censer.
After moving to Beirut, he was ordained to the diaconate and assigned to the Church of the Resurrection. He had a rather mediocre voice, but his pure and simple heart was filled with love for God, and to assist at the church services gave him the greatest joy.
During the reign of Emperor Anastasios (491-518), the young deacon moved to Constantinople. He led an ascetic life of prayer and fasting, but in his humility he thought of himself as being rather worldly.
He had a special love for Mary the Theotokos, and would go at night to pray in the Blachernae Church, which housed the precious omophorion of the Holy Virgin.
The saintly Patriarch Euthemios loved Romanos for his many virtues, and paid him the same wage as those singers and readers who were more educated and more talented. The latter resented this and derided Romanos for his evident lack of musical and theological training.
Romanos himself was painfully aware of these defects; he longed for a melodious voice worthy of leading the faithful in praising God.
It was the day before the Feast of Our Lord’s Nativity, and Saint Romanos was assigned to lead the singing that evening at the All-night Vigil. He was responsible not only for the singing but also for the text of the hymns.

I just got off the phone with my three DC rep’s offices and asked the following question:
You know how Christmas has become a battlefield? Every year communities somewhere in America are sued by the ACLU, or the Freedom From Religion Foundation or Americans United for the Separation of Church and State, etc, etc, etc… because they have a cross or Christmas creche on public property.
And invariably the cross or creche is removed.
Yet every year in WDC – on public land! – a giant Menorah is erected and lit and no one so much as raises a peep about “separation of church and state”. So, what do you think is going on?
At that point I allowed them to speak and it became clear they know very well what’s going on and don’t like it.
Symbols have power – and the giant menorah in front of the White House is a frank statement of power.
Reading between the lines we can also see that while certain people really hate the cross – they have NO PROBLEM AT ALL with the menorah!
And the groups that swarm in like locusts every time a creche is erected in some small town in Iowa suddenly become very, very quiet whenever menorahs are being erected…? Well, that says a lot too.

Duke falls flat with this latest interview. David Duke went on the Young Turks and said Rupert Murdoch isn’t a Jew! I had to write in the comment section on YouTube that he messed up. Murdoch’s mom is a Jew! Terrible, David Duke messed up so many times, that guy Cenk whatever his name is on the Young Turks got the best of him.
And than Cenk brings up how Hank Paulson was in charge of the major bank at one point (Goldman Sachs or I forget) and how he is a Christian and how he is powerful but he is not a Jew.
Duke also mentioned how the Koch brothers aren’t Jews which is questionable. The Young Turks interviewer asks duke if Stalin was a Jew, and Duke wouldnt answer the question!

I was told by an Alawite, originally from Syria, that unlike other Muslims, Alawites celebrate the Christian festivals to a limited extent.
Of course, most people already know that in the Koran Jesus is given great respect as a prophet. President Assad is Alawite.
The center of Alawite territory is Latakia, which is very close to Antakya, Hatay Province, Turkey.
That used to be called “Antioch” and, as some readers here would know, St. Paul ministered to possibly the earliest Christian community outside Palestine, the one at Antioch. But many or even most of those earliest Antioch Christians were actually Jewish.
Christianity was considered to be a Jewish sect, not a separate religion for the first one or even two hundred years of its existence.
I do not know but I suspect a similar situation existed in the Iraq area at around the same time.
Thousands of Jews were taken there in about 700 BC and they possibly formed the nucleus of Babylonia’s first Christian communities. In other words, “Jewish”, ‘Christian”, “Muslim” etc are just religious beliefs, all referred to basically the same ethnic stock of people.
