Trump Starts Endless War On Iran
Interview With Joe Cortina – Ex Green Beret

By Brother Nathanael Kapner, January 5 2020
____________________________
JOE CORTINA IS AN EX GREEN BERET, a former airborne special operations officer and US Army Training Center commander.

Cortina’s experiences as an intelligence investigator and anti-terrorist adviser brought him to such hotbeds of turmoil as the State of Israel, adjacent Middle East nations, and Central America.

Combining active duty with subsequent roles in military intelligence, Joe Cortina speaks authoritatively to those who long for a termination to America’s endless wars abroad.

Brother Nathanael: Last Friday, by order of President Trump, the US military killed Iranian General, Quassem Soleimani, by a Reaper drone strike in Baghdad.

Also killed was prominent Iraqi Commander of Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Forces, Mahdi Muhandis.

What’s your reaction?

Joe Cortina: US military officials did not “kill” these Generals, they murdered them.

We use the word “kill” only in actual war time scenarios.

This strike however was made without Congressional approval or notification, had nothing to do with “security,” and was executed in a civilian scenario.

The US military MURDERED these men, NOT “killed” them.

Br Nathanael: Trump is saying that Soleimani was responsible for the deaths of thousands of Americans, and Pompeo claims that Iranians regard the US military as “liberators” by killing the general.

How does this square with Iranian officials hailing Soleimani as a hero?

Joe Cortina: If I wasn’t so pissed off I’d be throwing up.

Trump is too stupid, or willfully ignorant to know that Soleimani was at the forefront of the US led coalition to eradicate ISIS from Northern Iraq in March 2015.

Soleimani also, as a commander of the Iranian Quds Force, was part of the American-led coalition under US General Tommy Franks fighting the Taliban in Afghanistan in the October 2001 Battle of Herat.

Moreover, Soleimani worked to protect Eastern Christians against ISIS in both Syria and Iraq, and empowered them to defend themselves as best they could.

As for the flunkie at State, Pompeo put up a clip of a few Iraqis celebrating the death of Soleimani while parroting Trump’s own lies that Iranians “hated and feared him.”

However, Pompass didn’t show the millions mourning Soleimani in Iran, Iraq, and Syria, including the minorities in Sunni states such as Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.

That’s not “hate and fear,” that’s “honor and respect.”

Most Americans never heard of Soleimani—a soft-spoken man of high refinement—until his murder last week. Now they’re clamoring as if Trump had slain the devil himself.

Br Nathanael: Will there be outright war?

Joe Cortina: It could lead to that, since that’s what the Jews want, but first we’ll see a realignment in the region that bodes ill for America entrenched in the area on behalf of IsraHell.

For with Trump conducting this undeclared act of war on the Iraqi and Iranian people by murdering their top commanders it serves as a catalyst for a unified anti-American front.

Both countries have every right to fight back due to their sovereignty being violated.

It will be our soldiers, not Israel’s, who will take the hit.

Br Nathanael: So if not outright war, with Iran and Iraq threatening retaliation, what will it be?

Joe Cortina: First look for various militias, once disjointed, along with the Iraqi government, uniting with Iran.

They will solidify, particularly if Trump designates Iraqi state-allied militias, comparable to our National Guard, as “terrorists” — especially those militias with seats in the Iraqi parliament who’ve long been vocal about kicking the US the hell out.

This in turn will tighten up the anti-Zionist bloc, the Axis of Resistance—made up of Iran, Syria, and Lebanon—and made even stronger with Iraq, as I predict, joining it.

The Jewish Lobby that rules America simply won’t stand for it.

Look for a false flag or two. Missile strikes on a US naval carrier, or bombs lobbed on US bases or even on the US embassy in Baghdad carried out by IsraHell but blamed on Iran.

And then all hell breaks loose, with ‘counter-attacks’ by The Terror State Of Amerika, and body bags of our young Gentile boys dressed up as soldiers ‘fighting for democracy’ coming home in droves.

Br Nathanael: You don’t sound too optimistic.

Joe Cortina: It’s ‘endless war‘ by design, brought to you by IsraHell and its pawn in the White House, and by the infestation of treasonous Jewish agents throughout America, along with countless Gentile shills who make a living out of sending our boys into harm’s way.

The entire Middle East hates Israel’s fighting force: the US Military, and that kind of hatred—justifiable and univocal—stirs any opponent.

Our Christian boys are fighting and dying for IsraHell, for Jewish Supremacy worldwide, for Jewry that doesn’t give a damn for anyone but their own.

Even allies, once used, like Soleimani, they toss in the trash.

Wake up Americans!

Remove the shackles that Jewry has bound you with hand and foot!

Indeed, that will make America a sovereign country once again.

    Then again, why wouldn’t they if they didn’t know that the JewSA blew it’s own towers up or that Bin Laden was CIA?

    Well, the Brits just couldn’t shut up and stay out of it

    Raab, the half-Jew raised Anglican British foreign minister spreads his adoring mantle over Trump’s stupidity. Now the UK will show Trump how tough they really are.

    Well, my British friends, don’t you remember the wisdom of Proverbs 17:12?

    “It is better to meet a bear robbed of her cubs than a fool in his folly.”

    KathJ’s corollary: Never get between a bear and her cubs, and don’t get in between the fool and his folly, either.

    As I recall, you all had one of your Royal Navy stealth hunter-killer subs poised in the Eastern Mediterranean standing just off of Cyprus to join in the fun when Trump launched his Tomahawks at a major Syrian military air base back in 2017, and lo and behold! the Russian Navy found you and pinged you hard, and then your sub had to make its dashing escape.

    Now, in absence of Jewmerica actually forming a global buccaneer navy alliance to commandeer Iran’s part of the Strait of Hormuz, and so privateer all of the Persian Gulf oil shipping, didn’t Russia-China-Iran just have their joint naval maneuver, codenamed “Naval Security Belt,” in the northern part of the Indian Ocean and the Sea of Oman just a few days ago, where I presume you Brits are now swimming around in?

    The highly successful drill started on December 27 and lasted for four days. Russia, Iran, and China all have heavily armed, stealth, super-quiet conventional diesel driven subs.

    Moscow produced next-generation vessels that are even stealthier than Russian Kilo-class submarines, thought to be one of the quietest diesel-electric submarine classes in the world and dubbed “black holes” for their ability to “disappear” from sonars.

    Britain appears ready to attack Iran militarily

    Press TV

    Sunday, 05 January 2020 6:26 PM

    Even as foreign secretary, Dominc Raab, extends support to the US over the terrorist-style assassination of General Qassem Soleimani, there are credible reports of the UK adopting a military posture near Iranian territorial waters.

    According to The Sun newspaper, a Royal Navy nuclear-powered submarine, armed with Tomahawk cruise missiles, is in striking position of Iran.

    The Sun quotes its defence sources as claiming that the higher echelons of the British military are eager to support the US militarily if the Americans decide to attack Iran.

    “If things unravel quickly, the UK will always stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the US. The hunter-killers are the most advanced submarines in the Royal Navy. They are a deadly asset and there is one well within range of Iran”, The Sun quoted one of its defence sources.

    According to the same source, the crew of the submarine just need to manoeuvre into a “firing pocket” in order to unleash their missiles, which carry a 1,000lb high-explosive warhead with a range of more than 1,550 miles.

    In addition, The Sun reports that operatives from the Special Air Service (SAS) and the Special Boat Service (SBS) – two core components of the UK Special Forces community – have been sent to Iraq to aid in “rescue missions”.

    The revelation about the dispatch of SAS and SBS operatives to Iraq contradicts earlier media reports that the British and American forces are withdrawing from the country.

    Despite its impeccable tabloid credentials, The Sun newspaper is viewed as credible on defence matters based on its usually strong sources.

    The UK’s preparation for potential military action against Iran contradicts Raab’s claim that the UK seeks “de-escalation” in the intensifying crisis.

    Did Iran just offer an $80 million bounty on Trump’s head?

    Ummm, no. There’s no state-authorized bounty on Trump’s head. It’s really more on the order of funeral rhetoric.

    Let’s back track.

    Ayatollah Ali Khamenei warned there would be “harsh retaliation” for the airstrike US President Donald Trump ordered on the head of the country’s elite Quds Force.

    One of the top Iranian generals stated that official retaliation would be restricted to military bases only, which pretty much eliminates an assassination attempt on Trump, or any other civilian official or diplomat.

    At one of Soleimani’s funerals in Mashhad, an unnamed eulogist appeared to call on the Iranian people to aid that retaliation by donating money.

    In a video shared to Twitter, one of the funeral organizers could allegedly be heard allegedly encouraging the 80 million-strong population to put aside US$1 each.

    However, the original Twitter post is in Arabic, not Farsi.

    The account holder joined in November 2019, and his Arabic Twitter identity translates to ‘Supporters of the popular crowd’ so I would actually take it with a big teaspoon of salt and a side of skepticism.

    The auto-translated tweet states:

    “Video: Participants in the memorials of the martyr leaders in Iran announce a financial prize of $ 80 million (dollars per Iranian citizen) for those who assassinate President Trump.”

    https://twitter.com/blQHZFWRs5F91RV/status/1213793581703532544

    Be that as it may, right now, it’s angry popular funeral rhetoric, which the Trumpeans are now exaggerating to the max by claiming that it came from an Iranian lawmaker.

    If that’s true, he was still at a funeral giving an oration, not in a session of the Iranian parliament, so it is nowhere close to being official. State TV ran the live feed, but state TV didn’t make any sort of announcement. Ayatollah Khameini didn’t make a pronouncement of the so-called bounty, either. The “regime” issued no decrees about a bounty, either.

    Trump of course is taking it seriously and threatening Iran yet again. Somewhere along the line, I read he’s now threatening to sanction hapless Iraq, too.

    Public funeral rhetoric doesn’t bother me much.

    Iranians for the most part do not act out of haste, calculate all of their moves, count the costs, take their time, and do prefer to dish their revenge up cold.

    What really scares me is this fundraiser I came across.

    Some one in New Zealand going by the name of George Clooney has opened a Go Fund Me “$80 Million For Trumps Toupee”:

    George Clooney is organizing this fundraiser.

    Just now
    Other

    Whoever brings me Trumps toupee will be awarded $80 milllon. This cannot be possible without the funds first. Donate $1 if you hate trump. (I’m sure 80 million people hate trump) and together we can finally have the precious toupee within our collection of exotic materials. Thanks everyone”

    https://www.gofundme.com/f/1uyaia80hc

    God help us if that creature perched on Trump’s big, old, fat head ever got loose.

    It won’t be a pretty sight.

    I’m sooo disappointed in Trump.

    What a useful goYidiot!

    The jew controlled and owned MSM will now allow the publics opinion to attack Trump. He took the bait, I’m surprised.

    Now jewry has installed their nose ring into Trumps proboscis, and are ready for him to run out the line.

    Only when this explodes with reappraisals and acts of retaliation will the jew MSM pump Trump again just in time for Nov. 7th.

    Look for false flag lies. After all we can never forget the Mossad’s motto “By Deception We Make War.”

    Yea, looking like the we are indeed in the beginning of the 3rd year of the 7 yrs. of tribulation that started in 2017. All I can say is, prepare for war, pray for peace, Americans!

    This “terrorist” threat will now allow for heavily armed police officers to rove our streets like a communistic take over, which is what the lunatic leftist have been attempting to implement for the past few years now with their school shootings/etc.

    Also, that’s why all the West Coast threats of power shut downs, they’re just practice runs!

    Soon gas/food prices will sky rocket. The stock markets will tank, The Fed will raise rates, jobs will dry up, and gun confiscations will take shape, all in the name of our “safety/security”.

    IsraHell will be pretty much done for in summer of 2024 though, according to the “tale” told by many of this day & time.

    I hope so! Live Free or Die!

    Rummaged around and found it.

    I knew it. US is not leaving Iraq if the Iraqi government approves the bill and serves Trump the eviction notice.

    Trump says he’ll sanction Iraq if US troops forced to leave, adding more misery on top of the misery of the Iraqi people. A good part of their country is still rubble, thanks to the US, their jihadist tools, ISIS, and 18 years of military occupation.

    And get this, Trump suggests that he won’t leave until the Iraqis pay for a big joint US-Iraqi military base, probably Al Asad Air Base in Anbar Provicne.

    I have news for President Trump. That base belongs to the Iraqi people to begin with. Saddam Hussein had it built in the 1980s, during the US-backed Iraq-Iran War, and it was a Yugoslav consortium that built it.

    The US-coalition commandeered the Iraqi base during their 2003 invasion of Iraq, and didn’t hand it back to the Iraqis until the troop withdrawal of 2011. Coalition troops lived like pashas on the immense base.

    Al Asad became the largest American base in western Iraq and the western equivalent of Baghdad’s Green Zone.

    Iraq opened the base to US forces for the 2014 US “intervention” against ISIS. US forces are being hosted there in their own sections, they have no legal property or military rights to the base other than as tenants.

    ~~~*~~~
    Trump says he’ll sanction Iraq if US troops forced to leave
    The Hill
    President Trump said Sunday that the United States would not leave Iraq on “friendly” terms and threatened to impose sanctions on the country if forced to withdraw American troops.
    “If they do ask us to leave, if we don’t do it in a very friendly basis, we will charge them sanctions like they’ve never seen before ever. It’ll make Iranian sanctions look somewhat tame,” Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One on Sunday afternoon when asked about the vote by Iraq’s parliament to end U.S. troop presence in the country.
    “If there’s any hostility, that they do anything we think is inappropriate, we are going to put sanctions on Iraq, very big sanctions on Iraq,” Trump added.
    Trump made the remarks to reporters while traveling from Palm Beach, Fla., to Washington, D.C., after a two-week stint at his Mar-a-Lago resort.
    Earlier Sunday, the Iraqi parliament voted in favor of a resolution calling on the country’s government to work toward ending U.S. troop presence there after a U.S. airstrike killed a top Iranian general in the capital of Baghdad. American forces have maintained a presence in Iraq since 2014 as part of the operation targeting ISIS.
    The bill is subject to approval by the Iraqi government.
    Trump also at one point Sunday suggested that American forces wouldn’t leave Iraq unless the country paid the U.S. back for its “expensive air base” there, an apparent reference to the Al Asad Air Base.
    “We have a very extraordinarily expensive air base that’s there. It cost billions of dollars to build. Long before my time,” Trump said. “We’re not leaving unless they pay us back for it.”
    The Iraqi parliament vote on Sunday was among a number of developments in the wake of the killing of Gen. Qassem Soleimani, who commanded Iran’s Quds Force. U.S. officials have described the strike as a defensive measure meant to halt planned attacks on Americans; Soleimani is said to have been responsible for attacks that killed hundreds of American troops over the years.
    The strike came amid heightened tensions between the U.S. and Iran in the region, following the death of an American contractor in a rocket attack in Iraq that Washington blamed on Tehran.
    Iran has vowed retaliation for Soleimani’s death. Trump, meanwhile, has threatened to hit Iranian sites if Tehran strikes Americans or U.S. assets in response, including threatening to hit Iranian cultural sites. Some have argued that attacking a cultural site could be considered a war crime.
    “They’re allowed to kill our people,” Trump told reporters Sunday evening. “They’re allowed to torture and maim our people. They’re allowed to use roadside bombs and blow up our people. And we’re not allowed to touch their cultural site?”
    “It doesn’t work that way,” Trump said.
    Exclusive: Iran’s response to US will be military — Khamenei’s adviser
    CNN
    Tehran, Iran (CNN)The military adviser to Iran’s Supreme Leader said Sunday that Tehran’s response to the killing by the United States of its most most influential general will “for sure be military.”
    In an exclusive interview with CNN in Tehran, the adviser — Maj. Gen. Hossein Dehghan — made the most specific and direct threat yet by a senior Iranian official following the killing of Gen. Qasem Soleimani in a US drone strike in Baghdad.
    Dehghan said Iran would retaliate directly against US “military sites.”
    Dehghan is a former defense minister and is now the main military adviser to Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. He told CNN that reprisals would come from Iran itself, not its allied militia in the region.
    “It might be argued that there could be proxy operations. We can say America, Mr. Trump, has taken action directly against us — so we take direct action against America.”
    The United States has a growing military presence in the region. Thousands of US troops have been deployed to Saudi Arabia, and there are some 5,000 at bases in Iraq.
    The US also has a major air base in Qatar and a naval presence in Bahrain, as well as troops stationed in Jordan, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates.
    In common with other Iranian officials, Dehghan suggested that Iran was in no hurry to retaliate and would choose its targets carefully. “Our reaction will be wise, well considered and in time, with decisive deterrent effect.”
    Video actually worth watching, exclusive from Tehran:
    I believe that this present Soleimani murder incident is a mind game of Israel, where the name “Soleimani” is associated with the name of the Temple of “Solomon” in Jerusalem, so that selfish Israel can get what it selfishly wants.
    Israel can not rebuild the Temple of Solomon in Jerusalem (as Israel desires) until there exists in the land of Israel today a majority of all of the world Jewish population residing in Israel.
    Therefore Israel needs to increase the persecution of Jews all over the world, in order to accomplish this majority population goal of Jews in Israel, in order for Israel to rebuild the Solomon Temple in Jerusalem again.
    Jews all over the world will move to Israel if they receive persecution.
    Why is it so important for Israel to rebuild this Temple again?
    A rebuilt Temple in Jerusalem means that Jesus was not speaking the truth, when he implied that this Temple would not be rebuilt again.
    Also, Israel should have great gratitude towards Iran for helping Israel, but Israel has no gratitude towards those who help it.
    The Jews returned to the Land of Israel from their Babylonian exile following the decree by the emperor Cyrus the Great, the conqueror of the Neo-Babylonian Empire in 539 BCE, also known as Cyrus’s edict.
    Emperor Cyrus the Great was a Persian ruler, and Persia is the same land as the land of Iran today.
    In other words Israel should have gratitude towards Iran for permitting the end of the Israeli Babylonian exile after the 70 years of Israeli captivity in Babylon, and for the return of the Israelis to rebuild their second and last former Holy Temple of Solomon in Jerusalem.
    But Israel’s position on Iran today, demonstrates Israel’s gratitude when someone helps Israel.
    Iraqi parliament votes for plan to end US troop presence
    The National (United Arab Emirates)
    Iraq’s parliament voted on Sunday to end foreign troop presence in the country, including thousands from the US, and to lodge a complaint with the United Nations over the killing of Qassem Suleimani, the head of Iran’s elite forces.
    The extraordinary session on Sunday was led by departing Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi, who resigned following months of anti-government protests, but is in office until a replacement has been decided on.
    Parliament voted on a five-point action plan that would require the Iraqi government to end the presence of foreign troops in the country, and withdraw its request for assistance from the anti-ISIS global coalition.
    This would require new legislation to cancel the existing agreement.
    Parliament also called on the government to ban the use of Iraqi airspace by any foreign power.
    The Iraqi foreign minister has been directed to head to the UN to lodge an official complaint against the US strike.
    What happens next?
    The bill is subject to approval by the Iraqi government and cancelling the US-Iraq agreement requires a one-year notice for withdrawal.
    The US-led military coalition in Iraq announced on Sunday it is putting the fight against ISIS militants on hold to focus on protecting its troops and bases.
    The coalition said it is suspending the training of Iraqi forces and other operations in support of the battle against ISIS.
    How Trump set up Soleimani:
    Elijah J. Magnier is a veteran war-zone correspondent and political analyst with over 35 years of experience covering the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).
    He specialises in real-time reporting of politics, strategic and military planning, terrorism and counter-terrorism; was live tweeting the Iraqi Parliament’s extraordinary session on Sunday, and other events:
    Highlights from his Twitter Thread Roller:
    A high-ranking Russian military delegation based in #Syria arrived at the embassy of #Iran in #Damascus to greet Major General #Qassemsoleimani, assassinated by US drone at #BaghdadAirportAttack.
    The Russian officers were the companion of Sardar Soleimani in fighting #ISIS & #AQ
    —–
    #BreakingNews:
    PM AbelMahdi said he has an appointment with #QassemSoleimani the next day. he was carrying a letter for me (an envoy of the Iranian government – ouch! That will hurt the #US at the #UN to kill an envoy).
    PM also said the US confirmed #Israel was bombing Hashd.
    —–
    We have learned today from #Iraq Prime Minister AdilAbdl Mahdi how @realDonaldTrump uses diplomacy:
    #US asked #Iraq to mediate with #Iran. Iraq PM asks #QassemSoleimani to come and talk to him and give him the answer of his mediation, Trump &co assassinate an envoy at the airport
    No country or leader in the world will trust the #US as long as @realDonaldTrump and his team are in power.
    -Impose on the gov to terminate the request of support from the interntnll coalition (all countries)
    -End presence of ALL foreign forces and to prevent any country from using Iraq against another country
    The information that #Iran Qassem Soleimani had an appointment with the PM in Baghdad and came to #Iraq to meet him the next day with established appointment, following a request of Trump for mediation, has been read to all MPs today by the #Iraq/i PM himself.
    “Earlier, Abdul-Mahdi said Trump called him to ask for help in mediating with Iran after the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad was attacked.
    Soon after, the U.S. launched the drone strike that killed Soleimani and that also claimed the life of Iranian-backed Iraqi militia leader Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis.”
    POTUS Press has since deleted their quote of Magnier’s tweet.
    Other Arab/English social media, like this long time Syrian tweeter was also apparently following the parliamentary vote and added some details about Soleimani’s mission as an envoy, tweeted:
    @Brasco_Aad
    Wow!
    Iraqi PM Adil Abdul-Mahdi: “Hadj Soleimani was in Baghdad at my invitation. He was scheduled to visit me and carried a letter with him from the Iranian leadership on how to de-escalate tensions with Saudi Arabia.”
    [https://twitter.com/Brasco_Aad/status/1213820671295459328]
    To rephrase it, what we have is Trump using the pretext of diplomatic mediation to carry out the murder of General Soleimani.
    Trump called the Iraqi PM to obtain the whereabouts of General Qasem Soleimani and then when he arrived in Baghdad Trump ordered the air strike on Soleimani.
    So that’s how Trump knew that Soleimani was landing in Baghdad, and he gave it to the Pentagon. Iran has full diplomatic relations with Iraq, complete with Iranian embassy some blocks northeast of the US embassy in the Green Zone.
    Baghdad International Airport Security has been run by British-owned global security conglomerate G4S Risk Management, under contract to the Iraqi Government, since 2013.
    “G4S has a team of more than 840 employees working at Baghdad International Airport (BIAP), more than 700 of whom are Iraqis, and the aim is to continue increasing the proportion of local staff and the level of local expertise.” [How many non-Iraqi employees are Mossad and CIA as well as MI-6?]
    “The G4S team provides all aspects of the airport’s security including project management; operational, logistical and administrative support; physical security for Checkpoint 1, the main gateway to the airport; as well as a Quick Reaction Force (QRF).
    “G4S also provides 24-hour security services to the Nineveh and Babylon terminals.”
    [http://www.airport-world.com/component/k2/item/3049-new-security-contract-for-baghdad-international-airport]
    Middle East Eye (MEE) is a London-based online news outlet covering events in the Middle East. They managed to get the inside story of “Tracked, targeted, killed: Qassem Soleimani’s final hours”.
    In their piece, they describe Soleimani’s arrival at Baghdad Airport and the security operations:
    [Quote]: Baghdad International Airport has been subject to strict security measures since 2003, and its security is managed by the British company G4S under the supervision of the Iraqi intelligence and national security services.
    Iraqi counterterrorism forces, in cooperation with the US, are meanwhile responsible for securing the airport perimeter, its airspace and the roads leading to it.
    Security measures require ordinary passengers heading in and out of the airport to pass through several checkpoints deployed along 10km of road extending between Abbas bin Firnas Square, the last point personal cars can reach, and the departure halls.
    As for travellers and officials who have a special escort, they are allowed to pass on VIP roads, which do not require more than informing a checkpoint there of the travellers’ identity and the vehicles’ physical and registration details.
    **Any information that reaches this point is shared with airport security, national security and intelligence, as well as with G4S.**
    Muhandis was seen by the US and his Iraqi rivals as the most dangerous man in Iraq, the executor of Iranian will. He has been monitored by the Amercians for years, and it was no secret that Redha transported no one but Muhandis.
    It was also, leaders close to Muhandis told MEE, well-known that the Hashd al-Shaabi chief received no one at the airport other than Soleimani.
    A US source familiar with the latest developments told MEE that Americans received intelligence that Soleimani was on his way to Baghdad and that Muhandis would receive him at the airport and take him to his home in the heavily fortified Green Zone.
    [https://www.middleeasteye.net/news/tracked-targeted-killed-qassem-soleimanis-final-hours]
    And, Trump was that intelligence. Trump knew from the Iraqi PM that Soleimani was flying into Baghdad sometime that night. The Pentagon got the stealth drones in place, set in a special ops ground unit on the airport grounds ready to paint the vehicles on the less traveled VIP road, with laser rangefinder designators to guide the drones in, setting up the kill shots.
    G4S is the most likely source of the field intelligence necessary to set up the murder shots.
    The contract British global security company took care of the rest of the intelligence, had the exact landing times, knew when Muhandes’ picked up Soleimani, the description of vehicle they were in, other vehicles with them. G4S, experienced with counter-terrorism ops, and easily conveyed all the details of when Muhandes and Soleimani departed the terminal via the VIP roads.
    They would be very easy to track on the very early morning empty VIP roads.
    If PM Abdul-Mahdi is to be believed, and there’s no reason not to believe him, considering he publicly read into the parliamentary proceedings on live TV, then what we have is Trump used PM Abdul-Mahdi to lure Soleimani for negotiations to Bagdhad, and then set him up for the hit.
    And that answers why Soleimani was traveling so openly and traveling comparatively unprotected.
    As an envoy of the Iranian government traveling to Baghdad at the request of Trump to the Iraqi government, then Soleimani was confident of his diplomatic mission and safe travel, the ultimate destiny being the Iranian embassy for some back channel talks, since the US doesn’t have formal diplomatic relations with Iran.
    Soleimani was on an official diplomatic mission as part of a diplomatic initiative initiated by the USA, which Trump then used to murdered him.
    The kikes and their puppet publican Trump are obviously trying to goad the Iranians into actions they will then use as a pretext for attack.
    Scoop: Trump officials tried to stop Iraqi expulsion vote
    Axios
    The Trump administration tried, unsuccessfully, to persuade top Iraqi officials to kill a parliamentary effort to force the U.S. military out of Iraq, according to two U.S. officials and an Iraqi government official familiar with the situation.
    Why it matters: The Iraqi parliament passed a resolution today calling on the Iraqi government to expel U.S. troops from Iraq, after the U.S killed Iranian Gen. Qasem Soleimani and a leader of an Iraqi militia with a drone strike near Baghdad airport.
    This resolution could ultimately lead to the U.S. military being forced out of Iraq. But the outcome remains uncertain, and the prime minister who needs to sign it recently resigned.
    “I think it would be inconvenient for us, but it would be catastrophic for Iraq,” said a U.S. official familiar with the Trump administration’s effort to block the vote. “It’s our concern that Iraq would take a short-term decision that would have catastrophic long-term implications for the country and its security.”
    “But it’s also, what would happen to them financially,” the official added, “if they allowed Iran to take advantage of their economy to such an extent that they would fall under the sanctions that are on Iran?” (Countries can be subject to the sanctions if they engage in certain kinds of trade with Iran.)
    “We don’t want to see that. We’re trying very hard to work to have that not happen,” the official said.
    “The United States is disappointed by the action taken today in the Iraqi Council of Representatives,” said State Department spokesperson Morgan Ortagus.
    “While we await further clarification on the legal nature and impact of today’s resolution, we strongly urge Iraqi leaders to reconsider the importance of the ongoing economic and security relationship between the two countries and the continued presence of the Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS.”
    “We believe it is in the shared interests of the United States and Iraq to continue fighting ISIS together. This administration remains committed to a sovereign, stable, and prosperous Iraq.”
    Behind the scenes: Trump administration officials have warned senior Iraqi officials that Iraq would suffer dangerous consequences if the U.S. withdrew its military and its funding of the Iraqi security apparatus, according to sources familiar with the outreach.
    Good to hear from Joe Cortina again.
    For better or worse there is only one way to deal with wicked nations and leaders when wise council and warnings fail, and that is the sword and the crucible of war.
    Israel and its servant nations world wide have earned themselves a trip to hell and that is all there is to it. These nations can not be saved because they will not repent.
    Individuals are another matter however. May God have mercy on those who put their trust in Jesus and not the Jews, queers, communists and other oligarchs that run and mislead the western world — Judgment Day is coming.
    Joe here is another Scripture to consider. Exodus 32:10 That was judgment day for Hebrews delayed — barely.
    No doubt Trump is a political puppet controlled by bankster Jews.
    But if Trump fell over dead the banksters would just replace him with another stooge who has lots of skeletons in his closet.
    The root of the problem isn’t Trump. The real problem is the devil and his children who put their political puppets like Trump and Obama in office.
    Even if lots of people called a congressman and convinced him to work for the American people instead of the bankster Jews, the Jews would just replace the congressman with a different puppet.
    As long as bankster Jews like George Soros are allowed to roam freely and spew their evil, there is no chance of stopping the madness.
    Who actually runs the U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East?
    Democrats? Republicans? Both parties? Donald Trump, himself? Rothschild family? Global elites and war investors?
    No one knows, except the inner-circle elites. Everything is unfortunately mixed up there.
    It has been like that since the Roman Empire/Byzantine Empire, Rashidun/Umayyad Caliphates (Islam-started in the Arabian Peninsula, south in the Middle East), and Khazars (Judaism-started in the Central Asia, north of the Middle East) started to intertwine together in the Middle East for some centuries.
    If the Middle East is successfully untangled, then all Western religions (Christianity, Judaism, and Islam) will be ended.
    MEMORANDUM FOR: The President
    FROM: Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity (VIPS)
    SUBJECT: Doubling Down Into Another “March of Folly”?
    The drone assassination in Iraq of Iranian Quds Force commander General Qassem Soleimani evokes memory of the assassination of Austrian Archduke Ferdinand in June 1914, which led to World War I.
    Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was quick to warn of “severe revenge.” That Iran will retaliate at a time and place of its choosing is a near certainty.
    And escalation into World War III is no longer just a remote possibility, particularly given the multitude of vulnerable targets offered by our large military footprint in the region and in nearby waters.
    What your advisers may have avoided telling you is that Iran has not been isolated. Quite the contrary. One short week ago, for example, Iran launched its first joint naval exercises with Russia and China in the Gulf of Oman, in an unprecedented challenge to the U.S. in the region.
    Cui Bono?
    It is time to call a spade a spade. The country expecting to benefit most from hostilities between Iran and the U.S. is Israel (with Saudi Arabia in second place).
    As you no doubt are aware, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is fighting for his political life. He continues to await from you the kind of gift that keeps giving.
    Likewise, it appears that you, your son-in-law, and other myopic pro-Israel advisers are as susceptible to the influence of Israeli prime ministers as was former President George W. Bush.
    Some commentators are citing your taking personal responsibility for providing Iran with a casus belli as unfathomable. Looking back just a decade or so, we see a readily distinguishable pattern.
    Former Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon played a huge role in getting George W. Bush to destroy Saddam Hussein’s Iraq.
    Usually taciturn, Gen. Brent Scowcroft, national security adviser to Presidents Gerald Ford and George H.W. Bush, warned in August 2002 that “U.S. action against Iraq … could turn the whole region into a cauldron.”
    Bush paid no heed, prompting Scowcroft to explain in Oct. 2004 to The Financial Times that former Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon had George W. Bush “mesmerized”; that Sharon has him “wrapped around his little finger.” (Scowcroft was promptly relieved of his duties as chair of the prestigious President’s Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board.)
    In Sept. 2002, well before the attack on Iraq, Philip Zelikow, who was Executive Secretary of the 9/11 Commission, stated publicly in a moment of unusual candor, “The ‘real threat’ from Iraq was not a threat to the United States. The unstated threat was the threat against Israel.”
    Zelikow did not explain how Iraq (or Iran), with zero nuclear weapons, would not be deterred from attacking Israel, which had a couple of hundred such weapons.
    Zombie Generals
    When a docile, Peter-principle, “we-are-still-winning-in-Afghanistan” U.S. military leadership sends more troops (mostly from a poverty draft) to be wounded and killed in hostilities with Iran, Americans are likely, this time, to look beneath the equally docile media for answers as to why.
    Was it for Netanyahu and the oppressive regime in Israel? Many Americans will wake up, and serious backlash is likely.
    Events might bring a rise in the kind of anti-Semitism already responsible for domestic terrorist attacks.
    And when bodybags arrive from abroad, there may be for families and for thinking Americans, a limit to how much longer the pro-Israel mainstream media will be able to pull the wool over their eyes.
    Those who may prefer to think that Gen. Scowcroft got up on the wrong side of the bed on Oct. 13, 2004, the day he gave the interview to The Financial Times may profit from words straight from Netanyahu’s mouth.
    On Aug. 3, 2010, in a formal VIPS Memorandum for your predecessor, we provided some “Netanyahu in his own words.” We include an excerpt here for historical context:
    “Netanyahu’s Calculations
    Netanyahu believes he holds the high cards, largely because of the strong support he enjoys in our Congress and our strongly pro-Israel media.
    He reads your [Obama’s] reluctance even to mention controversial bilateral issues publicly during his recent visit as affirmation that he is in the catbird seat in the relationship.
    During election years in the U.S. (including mid-terms), Israeli leaders are particularly confident of the power they and the Likud Lobby enjoy on the American political scene.
    Netanyahu’s attitude comes through in a video taped nine years ago and shown on Israeli TV, in which he bragged about how he deceived President Clinton into believing he (Netanyahu) was helping implement the Oslo accords when he was actually destroying them.
    The tape displays a contemptuous attitude toward — and wonderment at — an America so easily influenced by Israel. Netanyahu says:
    “America is something that can be easily moved. Moved in the right direction. … They won’t get in our way … Eighty percent of the Americans support us. It’s absurd.”
    Israeli columnist Gideon Levy wrote that the video shows Netanyahu to be “a con artist … who thinks that Washington is in his pocket and that he can pull the wool over its eyes,” adding that such behavior “does not change over the years.”
    Recommendation
    We ended VIPS’ first Memorandum For the President (George W. Bush) with this critique of Secretary of State Colin Powell’s address at the UN earlier that day:
    “No one has a corner on the truth; nor do we harbor illusions that our analysis is “irrefutable or undeniable” [as Powell claimed his was].
    “But after watching Secretary Powell today, we are convinced that you would be well served if you widened the discussion … beyond the circle of those advisers clearly bent on a war for which we see no compelling reason and from which we believe the unintended consequences are likely to be catastrophic.”
    We are all in a liminal moment. We write with a sense of urgency suggesting you avoid doubling down on catastrophe.
    Well, well.
    Mother Jones had this to say about millennial Americans’ fears of a draft spiking because of Trump’s murder of General Soleimani and the march to WWIII.
    In short, don’t look for patriotic fever and a surge of military volunteerism to go up against Iran with this one, like what happened with the poor dupes right after 9/11, within the next two years, were shipped into the forever war meatgrinders of Afghanistan and Iraq.
    In 2016, the US Military was already facing “recruiting challenges”.
    https://taskandpurpose.com/the-military-could-soon-face-increased-recruiting-challenges
    It won’t get any better with Trump escalating a war with Iran which no one will want to fight, except some evangelical Gung-ho types from the South and Southwest, and then there’ll be a concerted congressional push to activate the Selective Service Draft.
    Even worse, now that “combat jobs” have been fully opened to women under the Obama administration, it only paves the way to forcing women to also register with the Selective Service, and eventually conscripting men and women into the miltary and onto the front lines as well, to feed the “never-ending wars”.
    The “male-only” conscription policy is currently under study by the Congress-appointed National Commission on Military, National, and Public Service (a major supporter was the war-mongering late John McCain) which was established about two years ago.
    They expect to publish their final report on how to fix the problem of “In a country of more than 329 million people, the extraordinary potential for service is largely untapped” for civil and military service. In the meantime, here is their Interim Report
    The Selective Service’s Website Crashed and Not Because People Are Rushing to Enlist
    As concerns about violent reprisals or a Middle East war unfolded following reports that President Donald Trump had ordered the killing of top Iranian general Qassem Soleimani on Thursday, some Americans were also worried about more personal implications of the event. So many Americans Googled “draft requirements“ and “military exemptions“ that the United States Selective Service website crashed.
    Mother Jones:
    Iran’s Supreme Leader and President have vowed to enact revenge for the death of their military leader, and many experts have described Trump’s drone strike as an “act of war.”
    As concerns about the threat of war with Iran grew, so did internet traffic related to the draft. The Selective Service System is part of the Department of Defense that collects information about men who are eligible to be enlisted in the military. Its website allows people to register online and provides information about eligibility and exemptions.
    Iran’s Supreme Leader and President have vowed to enact revenge for the death of their military leader, and many experts have described Trump’s drone strike as an “act of war.”
    As concerns about the threat of war with Iran grew, so did internet traffic related to the draft. The Selective Service System is part of the Department of Defense that collects information about men who are eligible to be enlisted in the military. Its website allows people to register online and provides information about eligibility and exemptions.
    Ali Breland
    @alibreland
    hm, seems that people want to know the draft age right now
    [https://twitter.com/alibreland/status/1212938176714694657]
    [and spikes in inquiries about “avoiding draft” and “draft dodge” and “bone spurs”, as well as stats on which states generated the most inquiries. See above twitter thread – Kj]
    There hasn’t been an active draft since the Vietnam War, and the draft officially ended in 1973.
    Military service has been voluntary throughout the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
    Still, American men between the ages of 18 to 25 are required to register with the Selective Service System lest a draft becomes necessary.
    As it struggled with unprecedented demand on its website, the Selective Service assured Americans Friday that a draft would require Congressional approval, meaning eligible civilian men won’t be drafted and sent overseas in the foreseeable future.
    Selective Service
    @SSS_gov
    The Selective Service System is conducting business as usual. In the event that a national emergency necessitates a draft, Congress and the President would need to pass official legislation to authorize a draft.
    https://www.motherjones.com/politics/2020/01/the-selective-services-website-crashed-and-not-because-people-are-rushing-to-enlist/
    ~~~*~~~

    WQAD in Moline, Illinois carried a CNN story which had this to say as part of their piece on the Selective Service website crash:

    Women were exempt from the draft. In 1981, the Supreme Court upheld a congressional decision to exempt women from registering for the Selective Service, deciding that because women were restricted from combat, there would be no need for their services in the event of a draft.

    Then in 2015, the Obama administration opened all military occupational specialties to women, including “combat jobs.”

    Since then, women have graduated from the Army’s elite Ranger school, served on submarines, and completed Marine Corps Artillery Officer’s training.

    A federal judge ruled in February 2019 that an all-male draft was unconstitutional, saying “historical restrictions on women in the military may have justified past discrimination,” men and women now have many similar roles.

    The judge’s decision had no immediate effect as It did not block the government’s current policy.

    Any appeal by the Selective Service System would go to the New Orleans-based 5th US Circuit Court of Appeals before it would reach the Supreme Court.

    It is uncertain whether it would reach that level.

    The Selective Service System had urged US District Court Judge Gray Miller to reject the case, largely because the National Commission on Military, National, and Public Service, appointed by Congress, is now studying the male-only registration policy.

    The commission is supposed to develop a report and recommendations by March 2020.

    Be warned. Conscription military service for both men and women is looming dangerously on the horizon.

    If there are not enough volunteer bodies, especially willing evangelicals ready to through down their lives to feed the war machine for Israhell, then military conscription will open its ugly jaws.

    Daily Mail has done a nice recap, and put more puzzle pieces together about Trump luring Soleimani into the murder trap by claiming he wanted to negotiate over the protests at the US Embassy in Baghdad and what was transacted in the talk between Trump and Prime Minister Abdul Mahdi

    And the MSM and social media, as well as the White House, have the very annoying and inaccurate habit of referring to PM Abdul Mahdi as “acting” or “caretaking” PM, as if he has no authority after tendering his resignation, effective at some unknown date in the future.

    His resignation is effective upon the parliament’s selection of a new prime minister, which is still in the acrimonious works. Until then, Abdul Mahdi has all of the powers of his office, unless someone coughs up the Iraqi legislation that states otherwise.

    In the meantime, the Prime Minister of Iraq publicly read his statements into the parliamentary records, televised live on TV. Good luck finding any of it in MSM or western social media, and no one in the press is asking the hard questions, like “Did Trump call Abdul Mahdi with this pretext for the murder trap?”.

    Of course not.

    Daily Mail Headline: Iraqi prime minister says Qassem Soleimani was in Iraq to ‘discuss de-escalating tensions between Iran and Saudis’ when he was killed – and claims Trump had asked for help mediating talks after embassy attack

    –Iraq’s caretaker prime minister, Adel Abdul Mahdi, told his parliament in Baghdad on Sunday that US strike on Soleimani was a ‘political assassination’

    –Abdul Mahdi claimed that Soleimani was due to meet with him on the same day that he was killed by a US drone near the Baghdad airport early on Friday

    –The outgoing Iraqi leader says that Soleimani was supposed to bring him Iran’s response to a Saudi proposal for de-escalating regional tensions

    –Saudi Arabia, a regional rival, blames Iran for an attack on the kingdom’s oil facilities in September

    –Abdul Mahdi also claims that President Trump called him and asked him to mediate talks with Iran after the US embassy in Baghdad was nearly overrun

    –Supporters of the Shiite group Kataib Hezbollah scaled the walls and barreled through security at the US embassy in Baghdad on Tuesday

    –Abdul Mahdi said he personally intervened to defuse the embassy crisis and that the American president thanked him for doing so

    Excerpt: Qassem Soleimani, the Iranian Quds Force commander who was killed in a US drone attack in Baghdad on Friday, was in Iraq to negotiate a de-escalation in tensions with Saudi Arabia, according to the Iraqi prime minister.

    Adel Abdul Mahdi, Iraq’s caretaker prime minister, told his parliament on Sunday that President Trump called him to ask for help in mediating with Iran after the American embassy in Baghdad was attacked.

    On Tuesday, people belonging to the Shiite group Kataib Hezbollah overran security and scaled the walls of the embassy. No Americans were injured during the protests.

    Trump blamed Iran for the embassy incidents and threatened retaliation.

    The attack on the embassy on Tuesday unfolded after thousands attended the funerals of the Iran-backed Kataib Hezbollah fighters killed in the American airstrikes last Sunday.

    US fighter jets bombarded three locations in Iraq on Sunday night, in retaliation for last week’s 36-rocket attack which killed an American contractor and injured several others at a base in Kirkuk, 170 miles north of Baghdad.

    On Sunday the US struck a total of five Kataib Hezbollah controlled weapon depots in Iraq and Syria, killing at least 25 people and wounding 51.

    Abdul Mahdi said he worked hard to defuse tensions outside the embassy.

    He said he went so far as to threaten to resign if the crowds did not disperse, according to Axios.

    Abdul Mahdi even told Iraq’s parliament that Trump thanked him for his efforts. He expressed disappointment that while the American president was grateful, he was also simultaneously planning an attack on Soleimani.

    Soon after Trump made his request to Abdul Mahdi for mediation, US forces launched their drone strike on Friday killing Soleimani, the Iraqi leader was quoted as saying by National Public Radio.

    Abdul Mahdi slammed the Americans on Sunday for what he called a ‘political assassination’ in targeting Soleimani.

    Abdul Mahdi suggested that the Iranian military leader was in Baghdad as part of Iraqi-mediated negotiations with Iran’s main regional rival, Saudi Arabia.

    He said that Soleimani was going to meet him on the same day that he was killed.

    ‘He came to deliver me a message from Iran, responding to the message we delivered from Saudi Arabia to Iran,’ Abdul Mahdi told The Washington Post.

    The Iraqi leader did not provide any further details.

    Tensions between Iran and Saudi Arabia have been high since September, when Iran was blamed for an attack on Saudi oil facilities.

    Continued: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7854971/Soleimani-Iraq-discuss-escalating-tensions-Saudis-killed-PM-says.html

    It’s quite believable that Prime Minister was acting as a back channel go-between for Tehran and Riyadh, given the diplomatic situations.

    Iraq has an embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Iran’s embassy in Riyadh is closed.

    Saudia reopened a consulate in Baghdad back in April 2019 nearly 30 years since the closing of their diplomatic mission in 1990 during the ramp up of Operation Desert Storm. Since an embassy is usually the legal representative of it’s government, the Saudi Government does not yet have an embassy in Baghdad as its legal representative.

    Saudia closed their embassy in Tehran in 2016 after protestors stormed it, angry about Saudi Arabia’s execution of a dissident Shiite cleric, Nimr al-Nimr, who had repeatedly spoken out against the government and the Saudi royal family.

    So, it is quite conceivable that Soleimani be on a mission of back channel shuttle diplomacy in the early process of normalizing relations between Tehran and Riyadh again, with PM Abdul Mahdi acting as the diplomatic touchstone.

    Such normalization between Riyadh and Tehran, however, would not be approved by the US, and certainly not by Bibsy, who has to approve everything the US does anyway.

    I have located a 30 sec. clip on Arabic Twitter of PM Abdul Mahdi addressing parliament about Soleimani’s mission.

    I don’t know if in this clip also contains the PM’s comments about his dialog with Trump, and of his disappointment that Trump used the pretext of mediation to set him up for the assassination.

    Ali Mourad
    @alihmourad
    عادل عبدالمهدي يؤكد أنّه كان بصدد اللقاء بالجنرال #سليماني صباح الجمعة عند الساعة 8:30 للحصول منه على الرد الإيراني على الرسالة #السعودية التي كان عبدالمهدي قد أوصلها لإيران للتوصل لاتفاقات وانفراجات في #العراق والمنطقة

    If any Arabic speaker can listen to this clip for the PM’s references to Trump or not, and post the translation in RJN comments, that would be great. In the meantime, several western sources have quoted him making statements about the back channel diplomacy going on between Saudia and Iran at Saudia’s request, and that Soleimani, highly experienced shuttle diplomat as well as a general, was coming to Bagdad with Iran’s responses.

    Just on the face of this, Trump and Netanyahu would certainly want to blow up this Saudia-Iranian rapprochement – literally. So Trump, killing two birds with one stone for Israhell, entrapped Soleimani with the lying pretext of asking him to help mediate the protests and civil unrest at the US Embassy, thus eliciting information from Abdul Mahdi about Soleimani’s travel plans.

    Was Saudia in on the assassination plot? I wouldn’t doubt it. Trump boasted to reporters at Mar a Lago, “Soleimani was plotting imminent and sinister attacks on American diplomats and military personnel but we caught him in the act and terminated him.” Pompass makes noises about a big “intelligence operation” to come up with Soleiman’s “plot” and trace his movements to Baghdad.

    The fact is, as he usually did wherever he traveled, Soleimani openly flew in to Baghdad on a commercial passenger jet from Damascus, and his name was published on the passenger list, which would have been on the Bagdad Airport passenger computers. Not much of a US covert intelligence operation, if you ask me.

    Yes, he was going to Baghdad for diplomatic and military purposes, particularly after the US bombed the crap out of 5 Iraqi military bases along the Syrian-Iraqi border, and murdered 19 people, and wounded 40 others.

    As Elijah Magnier wrote:

    [Quote] On 27th December 2019, several rockets were fired from unidentified attackers against the K1 Iraqi military base in Kirkuk, north of Iraq.

    In this base, as in many others, Iraqi and US military are present on the same ground and within the same walls, even if they have different command and control HQs. Two Iraqi policemen and one American contractor were killed and 2 Iraqi Army officers and four US contractors were wounded.

    The following day, Defence Secretary Mark Esper called the Iraqi caretaker Prime Minister to inform him of “his decision to bomb Kataeb Hezbollah bases in Iraq”. Mr Abdel Mahdi asked Esper to meet face-to-face, and told his interlocutor that this would be dangerous for Iraq: he rejected the US decision.

    Esper responded that he was “not calling to negotiate but to inform about a decision that has already been taken”. Mr Abdel Mahdi asked Esper if the US has “proof against Kataeb Hezbollah to share so Iraq can arrest those responsible for the attack on K1”.

    No response: Esper told Abdel Mahdi that the US was “well-informed” and that the attack would take place “in a few hours”.

    In less than half an hour, US jets bombed five Iraqi security forces’ positions deployed along the Iraqi-Syrian borders, in the zone of Akashat, 538 kilometres from the K1 military base (that had been bombed by perpetrators still unknown!).

    The US announced the attack but omitted the fact that in these positions there were not only Kataeb Hezbollah but also Iraqi Army and Federal Police officers. Most victims of the US attack were Iraqi army and police officers. [Kataeb Hezbollah units are authorized components of the official People’s Mobilization Forces branch of the Iraqi armed forces, analogous to the National Guard – Kj]

    Only 9 officers of Kataeb Hezbollah – who joined the Iraqi Security Forces in 2017 – were killed. These five positions had the task of intercepting and hunting down ISIS and preventing the group’s militants from crossing the borders from the Anbar desert. The closest city to these bombed positions is al-Qaem, 150 km away.” [Unquote.]

    The protestors who showed up at the US Embassy compound to demonstrate against the US after attending the funerals of their compadres killed by the US were completely unarmed. They were not just members of Kataeb Hezbollah and other PMF units attending in fraternally along with (male) family and friends, but there were also among the protestors regular Iraqi Army members as well as Federal Police officers, friends and family, mourning their dead, along with interested civilians joining the protest.

    The off-duty Army and Federal police were also wearing their uniforms, but without any gear. A few of them were filmed joining in on the vandalism of the embassy compound property, breaking the security windows, and eventually torching the security reception area.

    The US intent for bombing the Iraqi security bases in Anbar Province is clear.

    Under US-controlled zones of eastern and southern Syria in the Desert (Badia), remnant bands of ISIS is actually thriving. The mission of the Iraqi security task force bases was to hunt down remnant ISIS in Anbar province and prevent them joining up with their co-Wahabists in the US-zone carved out of the Syrian Badia around At Tanf and other places along the Syrian border.

    There is only one Iraq-Syria border crossing open to international traffic, at Al Qaim near the Euphrates River.

    This border crossing sits on a vital highway linking the capitals of Iraq and Syria. Close to the Euphrates River in Iraq’s restive Anbar province, Al Qaim faces Al Bukamal in Syria’s vast eastern region of Deir Ez Zor. It is the only crossing between the two countries controlled by Syrian forces on one side and Iraqi federal authorities on the other.

    It was reopened this past September to normal traffic after ISIS siezed it five years prior. Iraqi security forces retook the border post near the town of Al Qaim in late 2017 as part of a major US-coalition operation against the ISIS “caliphate.

    As such, it offered a vital highway for Iran to connect with Syria through Iraq, the three countries having full diplomatic relations with each other. Iran looks to expand economic and trade access to Syrian and Lebanese markets, providing overland transportation avenues easing reliance on maritime shipping, and an alternative route to the Eastern Med. There are old plans on the back burnder for an Iran-Iraq-Syria pipeline to the Eastern Med and Syria’s refineries.

    Naturally, neither Israhell or the US want Iran to normalize economic relations with either Syria or Iraq. The main fear of Israel and Jewmerica the region is the connection between Iran and Syria through Iraq.

    It’ll create a strong economic and civilized bloc that would threaten Israel’s regional domination, and the satellite protectorates existing to serve the US’s hegemonic policies in exchange for the protection it offers them.

    The US and Israel will continue to use ISIS groups to disrupt and harass Syrians and Iraqis, will bomb the Iraqi and Syrian bases to hamper their efforts to destroy the remnants of ISIS, and interrupt the normalization of relations, all in order to block Iran’s efforts to gain roadway access into Syria.

    Anyway, here is also an official 35 minute video of the proceedings of the Iraqi Parliament in Arabic from their YT account where Abdul Mahdi’s statements may also be concerning his talks with Trump.

    If an Arabic speaker can locate them on this vid, mark the times and translate them, it would be much appreciated by me, and I’m sure other members of RJN family.

    The US has been very successful in dividing the countries in the Middle East.

    They went from helping somewhat popular dictators into power, to using bribery, to sanctions, to war.

    The perpetual, succesful wars against Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya and Syria have caused to unite what fighting force is left under an Iranian umbrella of battle hardened troops.

    The US in the meantime has failed to develop its industries and became dependent on stealing.

    Now, we will see the US utterly fail economically and militarily.

    Leader of the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh visited Iran along with a large delegation, representing Hamas, the Islamic Jihad, and other Palestinian political movements.

    The delegation joined a massive rally of millions of Iranians who came to mourn the death of Iranian top military commander Qasem Soleimani, who was assassinated in an American operation on January 3.

    “The resistance project on the land of Palestine in the face of the Zionist campaign will never break and will never weaken and will continue until the (Israeli) occupier is defeated,” Haniyeh said, affirming that “assassinations will only increase our determination to liberate Palestine and Jerusalem”.

    Tut, tut, Bibsy.

    No escaping this one by lying that Israel had nothing to do with it. You simply managed to get Trump to do your dirty work for you, after Mossad’s clandestine bomb plot efforts to murder Soleimani failed in Iran, discovered by Iranian security back in September, I believe it was.

    Trump consulted with you days prior to Soleimani’s state murder. That’s public information now.

    Israel demanded that Obama assassinate Soleimani back in 2015 or 2016, and Obama refused, having weighed out the costs of “liquidating” the Al Quds chief vs the risk that it would pose to US troops based in the Arab and Muslim countries surrounding Iran and in the Gulf states.

    Everyone knows that Trump never does anything in the way of Likudnik-West White House Middle East policy without getting your approval first.

    The Axis of Resistance is holding both Jewmerica and the criminal terrorist Jewish state accountable for Soleimani’s murder, particularly since you opened your mouth and publicly praised Trump.

    That’s life in Israel and its United Vassal States of America.

    The criminal Jewish state is prepared to fight Iran right down to the last American.

    Most of us know that Soleimani’s murder serves Israel’s interests, not American interests.

    Trump murdered ISIS’ #1 foe in the Middle East, and that’s — good for Israel.

    Netanyahu backs away from Soleimani assassination, warns ministers to ‘stay out’ of purely ‘American event’

    RT

    Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu has reportedly warned his cabinet not to get too involved in the US murder of Iranian General Qassem Soleimani, lest Tel Aviv gets dragged into the escalating conflict between Washington and Tehran.

    “The assassination of Soleimani isn’t an Israeli event but an American event. We were not involved and should not be dragged into it,” Netanyahu reportedly told his security cabinet during a meeting on Monday, as cited by Israel’s Channel 13.

    He advised ministers to avoid speaking to the media about Thursday’s targeted assassination beyond supporting the US’ right to defend itself, so as not to give the impression that Israel had played any role in it.

    The directors of Mossad and military intelligence reassured the ministers that the likelihood of a retaliatory attack is low, since “Israel stayed at a distance from the incident,” and that Iran will begin planning its reciprocal move on Tuesday following the conclusion of the national mourning period for Soleimani, according to the same sources.

    Netanyahu’s sudden reticence is particularly notable because he has been advocating a US-Iran conflict for much of his political career. For over 20 years, he has insisted that the Islamic Republic was just steps away from producing nuclear weapons, even when Israeli intelligence publicly argued otherwise.

    The Israeli PM was also front and center in the run-up to the most recent Iraq War, warning the US Congress in 2002 that Saddam Hussein had “weapons of mass destruction” – including pursuing atomic bombs – which turned out not to exist at all.

    Just last year, Netanyahu was urging the US and its Middle Eastern allies to take up the cause of war against Iran, emboldened by US President Donald Trump’s decision to pull out of the 2015 nuclear deal and re-impose crippling sanctions against Tehran, despite its compliance with the agreement.

    However, the overt US killing of a military commander who was apparently very popular in Iran has provoked serious talk of retribution, not just in Tehran, but among Hezbollah – the Lebanese Shia militia that boasts of fighting Israel to a draw in 2006 – as well.

    Netanyahu has had a tough 2019, clinging onto the post of PM in a purely technical mandate after two elections mere months apart delivered a hung Knesset and required an unprecedented third, coming this spring. Talking a tough game against Iran in order to get Israeli votes is one thing, but facing the real possibility of being the target of Iranian missiles is apparently quite another.

    Trump Administration Drafts Sanctions Against Iraq in Response to Vote to Expel U.S. Troops: Report

    The Intelligencer

    The Iraqi government experienced the full volatility of the Trump administration’s foreign policy over the last 24 hours or so.

    On Sunday, the president responded to the Iraqi parliament’s vote to expel U.S. troops with the threat of sanctions. “If they do ask us to leave, if we don’t do it in a very friendly basis, we will charge them sanctions like they’ve never seen before ever,” Trump said. “It’ll make Iranian sanctions look somewhat tame.”

    For a brief window on Monday afternoon, it appeared as if the United States respected Iraqi sovereignty after the gross violation of the strike last week that killed Iranian general Qasem Soleimani and an Iraqi military official.

    Multiple reports addressed a letter from the Department of Defense to the Iraqi government announcing a full withdrawal of U.S. troops for the first time since the 2003 invasion.

    But the Pentagon scrambled to explain away the oddly worded, unsigned message: It was a draft that “should not have been released,” said the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Mark A. Milley, who called it a mistake. (Hopefully the administration is more careful with the sword than the pen.)

    The latest turn downward in Trump’s spiraling foreign-policy week took place on Monday night, when the Washington Post reported that senior administration officials are already in the process of drafting sanctions against Iraq.

    In summation, in well under a week, the U.S. rushed the approval process to kill a major foreign leader in another country for the first time since WWII; violated an ally’s sovereignty in the act; threatened war crimes against Iran twice, as one of its main proxy forces announced it would never consider U.S. civilian targets; and is preparing sanctions against an ally, which is not how sanctions work.

    “I’m astounded by what’s even being discussed,” Peter Kucik, who served in the office of the Treasury Department that implements sanctions, told the Post. “You don’t typically use force against your allies. Terms of the settlement weren’t revealed but it’s safe to assume the kid is set for life. Good.

    This will likely force the remaining defendants in his other suits against MSM orifices to come to terms with him.

    IRGC Quds Force Commander Qasem Soleimani: Trump’s Rhetoric Is That of a Casino

    MEMRI TV Videos (English captions)

    In response to U.S. President Trump’s recent tweet to Iranian President Rouhani, IRGC Qods Force Commander General Qasem Soleimani warned “Trump the gambler” that “You may start the war, but we will be the ones to determine its end.”

    In a speech delivered on July 26 [2018] in the city of Hamedan, General Soleimani said that Trump’s rhetoric was “that of a bartender or a casino manager” and warned him that “we are near you in places that you can’t even imagine. We are a nation of martyrdom.”

    His speech aired on Iran’s Channel 5.

    The US President, in response to statements by our President, made some idiotic comments on Twitter.

    It is beneath the dignity of the President of the great Islamic country of Iran to respond, so I will respond, as a soldier of our nation.

    You threaten us with a measure that the world has not seen before.

    First of all, it has been over a year since Trump became US president, but that man’s rhetoric is still that of a casino, of a bar. He talks to the world in the style of a bartender or a casino manager.

    When he talks to China, to Russia, to Europe, or to anyone in the world, one feels that a gambler is talking.

    Not a night goes by when we don’t think about you in our sleep. Let me tell you, Mr. Trump the gambler — Let me tell you, Know that we are near you, in places that don’t come to your mind. We are near you in places that you can’t even imagine.

    We are a nation of martyrdom. We are the nation of Imam Hussein.

    Ask around. We have endured many hardships. Come, we are waiting for you. We are the real men on the scene, as far as you are concerned.

    You know that a war would mean the loss of all your capabilities. You may start the war, but we will be the ones to determin its end.

    Therefore, you must not offend the Iranian nation. You must not offend our President.

    The United States used to have charisma. Whenever one of its ships would sail, countries would collapse.

    Today, you are collecting the garbage of the Iranian nation — the hypocrites and all the opponents of the Revolution.

    Is that whom you pin your hopes on? Is this America?

    Alleged Videos From Attack on Iraqi Al-Asad Air Base Emerge on Twitter

    Sputnik

    At least two US military facilities have been attacked this evening as part of a retaliatory move for the targeted killing of Iran’s top military commander Gen. Qasem Soleimani in Baghdad on 3 January.

    Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard (IRGC) has taken responsibility for the attacks on Ayn al-Asad Air Base in western Iraq and the military base in the northern city of Erbil, in Iraqi Kurdistan, where American military personnel is currently deployed.

    The Pentagon has confirmed the attacks, adding that President Trump was monitoring the situation.

    Iranian state TV reported of more than 35 rockets launched only at the Ayn al-Asad this evening, as part of the revenge operation dubbed “Martyr Soleimani”.

    Alleged footage from the scene has been shared on Twitter.

    There have already been reports of casualties among the Iraqis.

    Iran launches ‘SECOND WAVE’ of retaliation strikes against US assets in Iraq

    RT

    Iran has launched another volley of missile strikes on a number of American facilities in Iraq, according to the semi-official Tasnim news agency. The new round of missiles follows the first by just over an hour.

    “A few minutes ago [3:30 am local time] the second wave of Iranian missile attacks on the US base is launched,” the news outlet reported.

    The Pentagon confirmed earlier on Tuesday that “more than a dozen” Iranian ballistic missiles had been fired on US bases, including the Al-Asad airbase in western Iraq, vowing to “take necessary measures” to protect American personnel in the region. Several additional missiles were reportedly fired on another US facility near the city of Erbil, a Pentagon spokesman told Reuters.

    The Iranian strikes come just hours after the funeral of top general and Quds Force commander Qassem Soleimani, who was killed in a US assassination strike in Baghdad late last week. Tehran has deemed the killing an act of “international terrorism” and promised to take revenge.

    Earlier on Tuesday, the Iranian parliament passed a bill designating the entire American military and Pentagon as “terrorist organizations,” mirroring Washington’s own similar designation of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) last April.

    America’s Mideast Allies Want to Sit Out Iranian-U.S. Confrontation

    Wall Street Journal

    Countries that have long pushed for a tougher American stance toward Tehran are keeping a low profile

    [Running for cover is more like it. Canadian and German forces, and possibly others, in the Middle East rapidly exercised a temporary “thinning” of military personnel stationed in Iraq. France and Germany denounced Soleimani’s murder. – Kj]

    By Yaroslav Trofimov
    Updated Jan. 7, 2020 5:44 pm ET

    In the wake of the U.S. drone killing of Iranian Maj. Gen. Qassem Soleimani, America’s allies in the region—nations that have long pushed for a tougher American stance on Iran—are keeping a low profile, fearing they will be hit by the fallout.

    The Gulf monarchies of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Kuwait and Qatar, all of which house U.S. military personnel and installations, lie within easy reach of Iran’s huge missile arsenal.

    Israel, too, is exposed to attack, particularly by the pro-Iranian Hezbollah militia in Lebanon that has amassed up to 150,000 rockets.

    The vulnerabilities of the Gulf monarchies’ energy infrastructure and weaknesses in their air defenses, in particular, were made clear after a drone and missile strike, attributed to Iran, that disabled Saudi Arabia’s main oil installation at Abqaiq in September.

    After President Trump left the attack largely unpunished, and weeks later ordered the withdrawal of American forces from Syria, Saudi and other Gulf officials began reaching out to Tehran to seek a detente.

    As it happens, Gen. Soleimani was killed in Baghdad on his way to meet Iraq’s caretaker Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi, who said afterward that he was serving as an intermediary in these indirect contacts between Riyadh and Iranian officials such as the late commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ Quds Force.

    Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman called for “efforts to calm the situation” in a call with Mr. Abdul Mahdi shortly after Gen. Soleimani’s death.

    He has since dispatched his brother and former ambassador to the U.S., Deputy Defense Minister Khalid bin Salman, back to Washington to urge caution and, according to people familiar with the trip, to make sure that the Trump administration is aware of Saudi concerns about a regional blowback from the general’s killing.

    Mr. Trump, in his tweets and statements after the Jan. 3 drone strike that killed Gen. Soleimani, promised a ruthless retaliation against any Iranian attack on Americans and American interests. He didn’t make such an explicit commitment to protect regional allies, which have been rattled by Gen. Soleimani’s assassination.

    “The timing was a killer and we definitely did not see it coming and are not really prepared for it,” one Saudi official said. On Tuesday, Mr. Trump tweeted that he had a “very good meeting” with Prince Khalid.

    The U.A.E. minister of state for foreign affairs, Anwar Gargash, has called for “wisdom” and “a rational approach that is free from emotions.” Meanwhile, Qatar, which houses the main U.S. military command center in the Middle East, dispatched Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani on a peace mission to Tehran.

    [Qatar has become a friend of Iran since Qatar was ousted from the GCC a couple of years ago, and the KSA set up a blockade. Qatar and Iran are also strategic economic partners because of a shared gas reserve in the Persian Gulf.

    In the meantime, the largest US military base in the Middle East is in Qatar, and now finds itself in the middle of enemy territory, so to speak. Last September, Middle East Command relocated back to South Carolina, after being based in Qatar for about 13 years. Oops! – Kj]

    “Saudi Arabia’s key issue and key wish is to de-escalate,” said Mohammed al-Sulaimi, chairman of the Rasanah think tank in Riyadh that advises the Saudi government on Iranian affairs. “We know the Iranians are angry, but over time they may think calmly and rationally, and realize the dangers of any hard response against the Americans, against their interests or against the region.”

    Riyadh, however, still firmly backs Mr. Trump’s “maximum pressure” campaign of sanctions against Iran, Mr. Sulaimi added. “We think that maximum pressure is the best among alternatives because the other option is war, and nobody wants war,” he said.

    Though a recent U.S. military deployment to an air base southeast of Riyadh has beefed up Saudi Arabia’s antimissile defenses, an escalation in the conflict could dramatically affect the kingdom’s economy just as it tries to develop a tourism industry and diminish its dependence on oil.

    The U.A.E.—where local nationals make up just 12% of the population according to United Nations estimates, and where most cities lie within reach of Iran’s short-range missiles—is even more vulnerable. The country could grind to a halt if these expatriates were to be spooked into leaving by an open military conflict with Iran.

    “There is absolutely no reason for Iran to target the U.A.E. or any other Arab Gulf state because this is an Iranian-American showdown. America started this and neither Saudi Arabia nor U.A.E. did anything to provoke it,” said Abdulkhaleq Abdullah, a professor of political science and commentator in the U.A.E. “I don’t think the Iranians are stupid enough to attack American bases in the Arab Gulf states. They have enough American bases close by, in Iraq.”

    The mood is somewhat more sanguine in Israel, where Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has publicly commended Mr. Trump for the strike against Gen. Soleimani.

    Unlike Saudi Arabia during the Abqaiq incident, Israel won’t hesitate to unleash a heavy military response should it be directly targeted by Iran, Israeli officials say. In recent years Israel has repeatedly bombed Iranian targets and proxies in Syria and, on occasion Iraq, despite threats of retaliation from Tehran.

    Those attacks are likely to go on, said Meir Javedanfar, who teaches Iranian politics at Israel’s Inter-Disciplinary Center in Herzliya.

    “One of the reasons why Iranians will not be picking a fight with Israel in terms of trying to find someone to settle scores over Qassem Soleimani’s killing is that they know that, if they attack, Israel will respond,” he said. “In fact, Israel has responded without even needing an excuse sometimes. This creates some kind of deterrence for the Iranians.”

    [Silly Jews. The Qods Force is not named “The Jerusalem Force” for nothing. The ultimate revenge on the criminal Jewish terrorist state is when they come to liberate Palestine from the Zionist Whore of Babylon. In the meantime, everyone in the Middle East knows that Little Satan rides Big Satan, and can hardly be separated in their “eternal, unbreakable, relationship”. – Kj]

    Yet, it’s far from certain that Israel will manage to stay out of a possible regional conflagration, said Ksenia Svetlova, a former member of the Israeli parliament who is now a research fellow at IDC Herzliya, an Israeli academic institution.

    “Our enemies don’t care whether Israel is actually involved when they target it,” she said, pointing out that Saddam Hussein chose to rain Scud missiles on Israel in 1991 even though the Jewish state wasn’t part of the U.S.-led coalition assembled to retake Kuwait. “Nobody wants war. America doesn’t want war, Iran doesn’t want war, Israel doesn’t want a frontal clash. And yet war in 2020 is possible, and is becoming more probable. ” [Actually, Svetlova, Iran now is not Iraq 20 years ago, and what Saddam Hussein did or didn’t do then, has no bearing on what is happening now. – Kj]

    Regardless of these risks, the U.S. move to kill Gen. Soleimani represented a security win for Israel, argued Mr. Netanyahu’s former national-security adviser, retired Maj. Gen. Yaakov Amidror.

    “We were one of his most important targets, so we can’t be sorry that he disappeared,” said Mr. Amidror, now a fellow at the Jerusalem Institute for Strategy and Security. “Yes, the Iranians will try to retaliate, but it doesn’t mean they will be successful, as we know from our own experience with them. We have had quite some friction with them in Syria, they have tried to retaliate more than one time, but they didn’t succeed.”

    IRGC warns US’ regional allies of becoming source of anti-Iran aggression

    Mehr News Agency

    8 January 2020 – 05:12

    TEHRAN, Jan. 08 (MNA) – In a statement on Wednesday, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps issued a warning to regional countries that bear US bases.

    IRGC pointed to the successful ‘Shahid Soleimani’ operation against Ain Assad base with tens of surface-to-surface missiles. Iran had earlier vowed to take a crushing response against the United States over the assassination of General Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis.

    The statement warned the United States that any more aggression or movement will receive more ‘painful and crushing’ response.

    IRGC also issued a warning to all US allies that have their military bases to the terrorist US forces. “Any land that becomes the source of aggressive and hostile measures against the Islamic Republic will be targeted.”

    IRGC said it would not differentiate between the US and Israel in retaliating against the assassination of the Iranian national hero.

    “We advise the American people to withdraw American soldiers from the region to prevent further damages.”

    Fars News: FM Zarif: Iran’s Reprisal Attack in Compliance with UN Charter

    TEHRAN (FNA)- Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said his country’s Wednesday missile attacks on Ein Al-Assad falls under the rules of the UN Charter, reminding that Iran has hit the airbase that has been used as the launchpad for assassinating Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani.

    “Iran took and concluded proportionate measures in self-defense under Article 51 of UN Charter targeting [the] base from which cowardly armed attack against our citizens and senior officials were launched,” Zarif wrote on his tweeter page on Wednesday morning.

    The top diplomat said his nation “does not seek escalation or war, but will defend ourselves against any aggression”.

    The IRGC Aerospace Force started heavy ballistic missile attacks on US Ein Al-Assad airbase in Southwestern Iraq near the border with Syria and a US operated airbase in Erbil in retaliation for the assassination of IRGC Qods Force Commander Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani.

    Ein Al-Assad is an airbase with a 4km runway at 188m altitude from sea levels, which is the main and the largest US airbase in Iraq. Early reports said the radar systems and missile defense shields in Ein Al-Assad have failed to operate and intercept the Iranian missiles.

    Unofficial reports said the US army’s central radar systems at Ein Al-Assad had been jammed by electronic warfare.

    The second IRGC reprisal attack targeted a US military base near Erbil airport in Iraqi Kurdistan Region in the second leg of “Martyr Soleimani” reprisal operation.

    All flights have been cancelled at Erbil airport.

    Iraq said the attacks have not taken any toll from its army men stationed at these two bases. [The bases are joint use bases, Iraq has its section and US leases its section from Iraq. Except for training or joint force operations, the Iraqi & US commands are entirely separate and autonomous through their respective chains of command.]

    The IRGC issued a statement immediately after the attacks, declaring that it has fired tens of ground-to-ground missiles at “the airbase occupied by the terrorist and aggressive army of the United States known as Ein Al-Assad” in reprisal for the martyrdom of IRGC Qods Force Commaner Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani.

    The IRGC warned the US to avoid retaliating the Wednesday attack or else “it will face a more painful and crushing response”.

    The IRGC Statement also warned “all the US allied states where the terrorist army has a base, any territory that becomes the origin of any hostile and aggressive action against the Islamic Republic of Iran in any way will be targeted”.

    “We believe that the Zionist regime by no means stands aside from the criminal US regime in these crimes.”

    The IRGC also called on the American nation to pressure the White House to pull their troops our of the region to avoid further damage and not allow the US rulers to endanger the lives of their military men through increasing hatred.

    All Iranian underground missile towns are on alert.

    The missile attack came hours before the body of General Soleimani was buried.

    Lieutenant General Soleimani was martyred in a targeted assassination attack by the US drones at Baghdad International Airport early on Friday morning.

    The airstrike also martyred Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, deputy commander of Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), or Hashad al-Shaabi.

    The two were martyred in an American airstrike that targeted their vehicle on the road to the airport.

    Five Iranian and five Iraqi militaries were martyred by missiles fired by the US drone at Baghdad International Airport.

    The attack came amid tensions that started by the US attack on PMF units that killed 28 Iraqi popular forces [other reports are that the killed and wounded were federal police and regular army, as well as almost half being the PMF personnel-Kj] A day later, Iraqi people attacked the US embassy in Baghdad.

    The targeted assassination attack represents a dramatic escalation by the US toward Iran after months of tensions. The tensions take root in Trump’s decision in May 2018 to withdraw the US from Iran’s nuclear deal with world powers, struck under his predecessor.

    Mashregh News is a non-governmental news website in Iran.

    It has been described as “close to the security and intelligence organizations” but till now there have been no clear documents to prove claims.

    It is based in Tehran. Mashregh News often breaks stories of international interest.

    Iranian parliament just officially designated the US Military, Pentagon, and those who ordered the murder of Soleimani as terror organizations and terrorists.

    That’s why Mashregh calls them ‘US terrorists’.

    Nothing I find to disagree with.

    Translated from Farsi, Mashregh reports that

    ** More than four US terrorists were killed in a missile attack on Ein al-Assad

    An intelligence official in the IRGC reported massive US casualties in the Iranian missile attack.

    He said, according to accurate reports from our sources in the area, so far at least two US troops have been killed and about four others wounded, and the wounded were immediately removed by helicopter.

    He added: The Ein Al-Asad base was a strategic package for the United States that supported drones at the base.

    “The critical point of the base was hit by four missiles fired and significant numbers of UAVs and helicopters destroyed,” the official added.

    He said, despite the Americans’ full alert, their defense was unable to respond.

    The source added: “A critical point has been identified for US positions in the region that will be destroyed as soon as the first American error occurs.”
    https://tinyurl.com/mashreghnews-ir-1028835

    Other reports are that several military fighter planes were destroyed, and that the base’s antimissile defense system had been electronically jammed.

    A second US base was hit outside of Erbil in Iraqi Kurdistan. Both bases are actually Iraqi bases hosting the US forces. The Iraqi military and the US forces have their own separate areas on the base, with the US in their designated area.

    Except for training and joint operations, each has their own separate chain of command.

    Maybe we need to stop attacking D.T. and take a closer look at his advisers.

    Who is positioning them there? Are they are deliberately setting him up for a fall?

    Many of his closest advisers are Jews (J), Christian Zionists (CZ), Israel firsters (IF), Deep staters (DS) and Neoconservatives (NC)— such people will be natural opponents to the America 1st movement

    Examples include Pence (CZ and IF), Bolton (NC & IF), Pompous (DS, IF, CZ), Kushner (J) etc.

    His principal campaign financers are 3 Jewish billionaires– Singer, Marcus and Adelson—again natural opponents to the America 1st movement—do they have any say in the appointment of “advisers”?

    D.T. cannot know everything about every situation. He depends on his advisers.

    The murder of the Iranian general is a disaster and a tragedy from whatever angle you look at it

    Lets start looking at the role of the “advisers”. Are they doing an inside job on him and deliberately setting D.T. and his movement up for a fall?

    As soon as Trump gave his tough talk speech on Iran today the bankster jews on Wall Street sent the stock market soaring. Jew-wise people all know that these endless wars are for Israel and the Jews, not for America. Don’t believe Trump’s lies. These wars and the rest of the madness only ruin America.

    It’s the bankster Jews who hold Trump’s puppet strings that direct him into wars and madness, same as with Gov Newsom of California, and similar stooges.

    ‘No lives lost’: Trump holds fire on ‘big missiles,’ talks peace after Iran’s strikes on US bases in Iraq

    RT

    8 Jan, 2020 16:26 / Updated 2 hours ago

    US President Donald Trump is delivering an eagerly-awaited address to America, as the country stands on the brink of war with Iran. Trump’s speech comes hours after Iranian missiles struck two US bases in Iraq.

    Speaking from the White House, Trump backed away from threatening further strikes against Iran, describing Tehran’s stand-down as “a good thing for all parties concerned.”

    Our missiles are big, powerful, accurate, lethal and fast…The fact that we have this great military and equipment, however, does not mean that we have to use it.

    Trump did, however, vow to impose new economic sanctions on the Islamic Republic, in addition to the thousand or so imposed since the US withdrew from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA, or Iran nuclear deal) in 2018. “These powerful sanctions will remain,” he said, “until Iran changes its behavior.”

    “Iran must abandon its nuclear ambitions and end its support for terrorism,” Trump continued. “Time has come for the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Russia and China to recognize this reality. They must now break away from the remnants of the JCPOA.”

    While Trump recently declared that the US would wipe out 52 Iranian state and cultural targets if American interests were attacked, he struck a more conciliatory tone in his speech on Wednesday.

    After boasting about America’s “big missiles,” Trump suggested that under a new deal, Iran could become a “great country,” and could cooperate with the US on areas of mutual benefit.

    “ISIS [Islamic State, IS, ISIL] is the natural enemy of Iran,” he said. “The destruction of ISIS is good for Iran. And we should work together on this and many other shared priorities.”

    Early on Wednesday, Iran rained a barrage of missiles on two military bases used by American troops in Iraq.

    The missile attack came in response to the drone assassination of Iranian general Qassem Soleimani by the US in Baghdad on Friday. Soleimani, according to Washington, had orchestrated a series of attacks on American forces in Iraq, and was allegedly plotting further strikes through Iranian-backed militias in the country.

    Tehran called the killing an act of “international terrorism,” vowing to take revenge.

    Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif described the missile attack as a “proportionate measure” taken in self-defense. Zarif added that Tehran does not intend to escalate the situation further, but would target US allies in the region if Washington responds with force.

    Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said that the strikes served as a “slap in the face” for the United States, but were not “sufficient” to remove “the corrupting presence of America in the region.”

    Kicking all US troops out of Middle East will be Iran’s ‘final answer’ to Soleimani’s assassination – Rouhani

    Expelling the US military from Iraq and the surrounding region will be Iran’s ultimate goal, in retaliation against the killing of a commander Qassem Soleimani, President Hassan Rouhani has said.
    Soleimani fought a heroic anti-terror campaign against Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS) and Al Qaeda, Rouhani tweeted on Wednesday, adding that European nations “would be in great danger now” if it wasn’t for the Iranian commanders efforts.

    “Our final answer to his assassination will be to kick all US forces out of the region,” he vowed.

    https://www.rt.com/news/477717-iran-kicking-us-troops-out/

    Well, take this to be official Iranian policy towards the US from now on.

    And I don’t think I’ve ever seen the normally taciturn Milley look so concentratedly and inscrutably deadpan, made even clearer in the RT photo by the fact that neither he nor the other general are looking at Trump as Pence and Esper are, and are straight ahead over Trump’s shoulders.

    The Iranian government has made it quite clear that the state’s official and open retaliatory military response to Soleimani’s murder is ended. However, Soleimani was a very major figure and hero to all the parties of the Axis of Resistance from Syria to Lebanon to Palestine to Iraq and beyond (the longstanding core anti-Zionist political ideology is the liberation of Jerusalem), who also went to war against the US’ foster Wahabi children of al Qaeda and ISIS (a split off from al Qaeda in Iraq), as well as the hated “Shia Crescent”, and so this matter will not end.

    Soleimani’s state murder has unified not only Iranians, but tightened up the semi-mythical Sunni boogeyman called the “Shia Crescent”, already coalescing within the Quds Force war against ISIS in the Syria-Iraq battlespace as the majority were Shia militias, and which was more or less usually in disarray among quarreling national and local political-militia groups.

    Soleimani was their ultimate Commander of Hearts, tirelessly traveling everywhere smoothing out squabbles, and he forged all these disparate groups into a very formidable fighting force. Soleimani is now a hero-martyr to just about every Shia in Eurasia from Yemen to Pakistan.

    They will be dedicating themselves to pushing the US forces out of their own countries.

    Then there is the murder of al-Muhandis and other PMF militia commanders that the Iraqi PMF will militarily avenge from Baghdad.

    I don’t trust Trump one whit to actually let this rest now. The man has little sense of honor and decency, and playing filthy dirty, deceitfully, and sneaky is more his style, and he never makes a deal unless he can also get away with moral theft. He learned a lot dealing with Jewish New York and New Jersey real estate developers.

    It is well within Trump’s sick way of doing things that he would set up Soleimani for the assassination through the pretext of asking Iraqi Prime Minister Abdul al-Mahdi to have Soleimani mediate the angry PMF protests and storming of the US Embassy compound’s hardened security entrance (the actual US Embassy building was some 600 ft away, I’ve learned).

    I have no doubt but what the Iraqi PM is telling the truth. He has also reportedly given even more testimony to the Iraqi parliament about how Trump threatened to set up Marine snipers to kill protesters if Iraq didn’t abrogate their new trade agreements with China, but I’m still attempting to find an original documented source. It may be in the Arabic video of the parliamentary proceedings I posted much earlier.

    Once the PM gave Trump the information that Soleimani, already coming to Baghdad as a diplomatic back channel emissary carrying Tehran’s reply to the Saudi’s requests to negotiate a reduction of Saudi-Iran hostilities, and would be arriving in Baghdad at a certain time on a commercial flight, it did not take much at all to get the order to the the Predator drone operators in al-Assad military base in Anbar province to fly the killer drones to Baghdad, only about some 140 miles driving distance away.

    So much for the months of ‘exquisite intelligence gathering’ that Trump, Esper and Pompeo strutted about in order to “catch Soleimani in the act of planning attacks on American citizens”. It was public information, and the British airport security G4S simply handed over the flight passenger manifest with Soleimani’s name on it.

    Iraqi Militia Leader Says Their Response to US Will Not be Lesser Than Iranian Retaliation – Reports

    Sputnik

    Two waves of airstrikes were launched against US military facilities in Erbil and the Ayn al-Asad Air Base in Iraq, housing US-led coalition forces on Wednesday morning following the assassination of the Commander of the IRGC’s elite Quds Force Qasem Soleimani last week.

    Iraqi militia commander Qais al-Khazali said on Wednesday that Baghdad would follow Iran’s response to the killing of its top military commander Qasem Soleimani on 3 January by the US, Reuters reported. Al-Khazali noted that the Iraqi response would not be “any less” than Tehran’s retaliation, following the death of Iraqi Shia Kata’ib Hezbollah leader Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis who was also killed in the US strike.

    “The initial Iranian response to the assassination of the martyred commander Soleimani has happened.

    “Now it is time for the initial response to the assassination of the martyred commander Muhandis. And because Iraqis are brave and zealous, their response will not be any less than that of Iran’s. That is a promise”, al-Khazali was quoted as saying.

    Major General Soleimani and Iraqi militia commander al-Muhandis were both killed by a US drone strike on Friday, 3 January near Baghdad International Airport. Tehran vowed to avage the death of its top military commander, later responding with two waves of airstikes launched against American military facilities in Iraq.

    Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif later called Tehran’s actions “proportionate measures in self-defence” in line with the UN Charter, while Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei branded the airstrikes a “slap” in America’s face.

    Israel Confiscates Sole Vehicle of Palestinian Medical Team in West Bank Firing Zone

    Haaretz

    Vehicle has been impounded before, cutting off medical care and access to medicine to 1,500 residents for six months

    Israel has impounded the only vehicle available to a medical team that provides assistance to 1,500 Palestinians living inside an Israeli military firing zone in the West Bank.

    This is the second time the vehicle serving residents of Masafer Yatta in the south Hebron hills has been confiscated within one year, cutting off healthcare to an isolated and impoverished population.

    The medical team, comprised of a doctor, nurse and driver, belongs to the Palestinian Authority’s Health Ministry. They come every week to hamlets in the area, located an hour’s drive on dirt roads from the nearest town of Yatta.

    The team’s jeep, which also carries medicines, is the only vehicle available for providing medical services to these communities.

    Last Thursday, when the team arrived at Khirbet al-Majaz, a Civil Administration patrol told them they were not allowed there without prior coordination, since the area was inside a firing zone.

    Later, the patrol impounded the jeep and detained the team for half an hour. Dr. Faris Abu-Ali, the team’s doctor, said medical assistance was provided for these villages because of their large distance from a city and because of their meager financial means.

    “We come here with all the medications we can administer outside a hospital to treat the villagers,” he related.

    Last February, the jeep was impounded under similar circumstances by the Civil Administration. It was returned six months later, after the team paid 3,000 shekels ($865) to get it back.

    Adel Jabour, the team’s driver, said that last time the jeep was confiscated the team couldn’t provide medical care for the entire period, since it was the only vehicle available that could travel those roads.

    Firing zone 918 covers 7,400 acres and was declared a closed military zone in the 1980s. In 1999, the army expelled residents from their homes, arguing that they were living in a firing zone illegally. A temporary injunction by the Supreme Court later let them return to their lands.

    According to Israel, the area was uninhabited when it was declared a firing zone. In the course of the petition filed on this matter, residents provided evidence that they have lived in the area for decades, before the area was conquered in 1967 by Israel.

    The Israeli military commented that “The vehicle was impounded by supervisors at the Civil Administration since it was traveling in a fire zone, a forbidden area for vehicles by law.

    “We emphasize that this was done according to our authority and through due procedure. Moreover, we note that the last time this vehicle was impounded, residents were told that entering this area without prior coordination is totally prohibited.”

    Worth reading from If Americans Knew:

    In the interest of understanding recent events, we have quickly put together a partial timeline of US-Iran relations, beginning in 1953 through the present.

    This is a quick, somewhat cursory timeline, but we feel it’s important that a general outline become available as soon as possible.

    Many thousands of American families are heavily invested in the situation – according to U.S. Central Command, between 60,000 and 70,000 U.S. troops are currently in the Middle East and Afghanistan.

    (Please check back later, as we will likely add additional incidents, links, and information in the coming days.)

    Offering No Evidence, Esper Says Soleimani Attack On US Was ‘Days’ Away

    Defense One

    The planned attack on U.S. forces that prompted President Donald Trump to order the killing of top Iranian general Qassem Soleimani in Baghdad was “days” away when the United States took action, Defense Secretary Mark Esper said.

    Senior administration officials have said they moved to take out Soleimani because he posed an “imminent threat” to U.S. personnel in the region, but have declined to offer a more specific accounting of the intelligence that led to the strike.

    Some reports have suggested that the evidence of a credible threat against American interests might have been inflated or cherry-picked from regular reporting of the everyday threat posed by Soleimani and his proxy forces. Others critics have compared the strike to the 2003 invasion of Iraq, launched by the Bush administration on flawed evidence.

    Esper on Tuesday called the intelligence leading to the Soleimani strike “exquisite” and defended the strike.

    “Soleimani was caught red-handed on the ground in Baghdad, one terrorist leader of a terrorist organization meeting with another terrorist leader to synchronize and plan additional attacks on American forces, diplomats or facilities,” he said on CNN, shortly before he briefed reporters at the Pentagon.

    Asked whether the planned attack was days or weeks away, Esper replied, “I think it’s more fair to say days, for sure.”

    Esper also sought to clear away ongoing confusion surrounding a leaked draft letter transmitted to the Iraqi government this week. The letter appeared to show the U.S. military planning to reposition at least some forces in Iraq for an eventual withdrawal and caused an uproar in Washington on Monday afternoon.

    Although Esper and Joint Chiefs Chairman Mark Milley immediately tried to bat down rumors of an imminent U.S. withdrawal by calling the letter an unsigned “draft” and a “mistake,” Iraqi Prime Minister Adil Abdul-Mahdi increased the confusion on Tuesday when he said he received the message through “official” channels — and that he was provided an updated version when he asked for a clarification.

    Mahdi also said that the letter was signed, contradicting Milley’s version of events.

    “They said it’s a draft. Okay, it’s a draft — but we received it,” al-Mahdi told his cabinet on Tuesday. “If I don’t trust you and you don’t trust me, how are we supposed to proceed?”

    “There is no signed letter, to the best of my knowledge, I’ve asked the question,” Esper said on CNN. “There may be people trying to create confusion. Our policy has not changed.”

    Trump in a separate media appearance on Tuesday said he knew nothing of the letter and asked if it was a “hoax.”

    Shiite lawmakers in Iraq’s parliament on Sunday voted without an official quorum to ask al-Mahdi’s government to eject U.S. forces from Iraq in response to the Soleimani strike. The vote is legally non-binding for a number of reasons, but al-Mahdi on Tuesday said that a withdrawal of U.S. forces is now necessary.

    [This is mistaken info. The parliament could not take a vote until a quorum was reached. Most of the Sunni and Kurdish ministers choose to be absent, but eventually the necessary quorum was reached. And, the resolution is “non-binding” until the state, that is the President of Iraq, signs it. – Kj]

    Esper said at the Pentagon that he hasn’t “received any communication” from al-Mahdi or the Iraqi government about the parliamentary vote, or “an order or a request to withdraw U.S. forces.”

    “I think it’s the worst thing that could happen to Iraq,” Trump said during an Oval Office meeting with the Greek prime minister.

    “If we leave, that would mean that Iran would have a much bigger foothold, and the people of Iraq do not want to see Iran running the country.”

    “We’ll see how it all works out,” he added. “I know it’s going to work out well for us because at some point we want to be able to get out, we want to be able to bring our soldiers back home.”

    But the back-and-forth has left the 5,200 U.S. troops in Iraq in limbo. Esper, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, and Trump continue to insist that the United States isn’t leaving Iraq.

    But both Esper and Pompeo have dodged questions about whether they would depart if officially asked by the Iraqi government.

    Before Trump’s craven murder of Soleimani, he already enjoyed 80% approval rating among the Iranian people as a popular national hero, even among the reformers inside Iran for his non-involvement in Iranian politics.

    Soleimani’s US state sanctioned murder has glued the Iranian people together like nothing before, and even those reformers who were somewhat US-leaning are now firmly on the anti-US side.

    But that doesn’t mean that the Iranians hate the American people, they never have. Their open hospitality, culture, ski and snowboarding resorts are still there for Americans wanting to tour Iran.

    Occasionally, Fox News (accidentally?) drops a truth bomb that does damage to the Trumpeans official propaganda narrative.

    Mediaite: ‘A Shocking Lack of Understanding’: Fox News Foreign Correspondent Absolutely Destroys SecDef Esper After Iran Presser

    Fox News Foreign Correspondent Trey Yingst did not mince words in response to the Defense Secretary Mark Esper’s Tuesday afternoon press conference regarding the ongoing conflict between the United States and Iran.

    Sitting in for Dana Perino, guest anchor Trace Gallagher went straight to Jerusalem-based Yingst, who plainly described Esper’s comments “a shocking lack of understanding from America’s top defense official about what’s actually happening on the ground here in Iraq.”

    Esper had spoken about a number of topics related to Iran, but it was his comments on Iraq that raised Yingst’s ire.

    Regarding the Iraqi Parliament’s recent voting to expel U.S. troops from Iraq, Esper diminished as a partisan vote, suggesting that it was mostly Shia that voted for expelling US forces, adding that the Shia were under duress, he says he does not believe it’s a binding resolution.

    Yingst then proceeded to point out how Esper’s assessment of the situation in Iraq was incorrect.

    He noted how the U.S. Ambassador to Iraq met with the Iraqi prime minister at length discussing the decision by the Iraqi Parliament to ask America to remove troops from Iraq. ‘That message delivered directly to the American representative in Baghdad,” adding “You just heard the Defense Secretary say he wasn’t aware of any message delivered.”

    “The Defense Secretary also saying, to his knowledge, there was no signed letter,” Yingst noted, adding, “the Iraqis, including the prime minister says one exists.”

    “So the gap between what the U.S. wants and what the Iraqis want continues to widen, and everything the Defense Secretary just said is going to be questioned tomorrow in Baghdad, as many politicians wonder about what this means moving forward if there are continued Iranian threats.”

    Troubling to see Mr. President Trump act so indifferent/unremorseful for the assassination of Iran’s top general.

    Don’t get me wrong, I’m All American over here, but it just smacks of Jewry’s evil.

    All the signs are there. AGAIN running to the rescue of Satan’s chosen beck and call!

    Trump is wise to let it go – save some face!

    The only problem is, he doesn’t really get to decide when it’s over now.

    I’m pretty sure Iran needs some retribution, if not to show it’s citizens they’re not weak, but because it just seems fair!

    Unfortunately either way, they will be false flagged, one way or the other now, and then we’re off to the races. Russia wont put up with it and China will follow as ALL the surrounding countries, less Saudi Arabia.

    PCR’s take on the Iranian retaliation and Trump’s response.

    Most of it’s pretty good, but he’s carrying water for Trump.

    The State of the Iranian Crisis

    Paul Craig Roberts

    Readers are asking my take on the Iranian retaliation and Trump’s response. I think a deal might have been arranged between Washington and Tehran via a third party.

    The Iranian attack resulted in no US casualties. Thus, it serves both Iran’s purpose of retaliating and Trump’s purpose of interpreting the Iranian retaliation to be, in effect, a stand down.

    Continued: https://www.paulcraigroberts.org/2020/01/08/the-state-of-the-iranian-crisis/

    Comment I don’t know why people, like PCR, keep saying that Iran did a “stand down”. And, PCR then alludes to this all being kabuki theater between the US and Iran, and at the same time, he carries water for Trump.

    Poor Trump, he’s between the Zionist Jew rock and the neocon Rapture Ready Zio-christian hard place. It’s all those nasty neocons who made him do it.

    Trump hired them, Trump can fire them if they don’t fit his murky overall foreign policy goals, or prove to be too obstructionist in getting them done.

    The fact is double-minded Trump is completely in accord with the Jewish, neocon, and messianic hawks.

    He would not have picked them if he was truly intent on actually drawing up plans to disengage our military from the Middle East. If you carefully listen to all of his old criticisms about Bush and Obama’s wars, he’s not anti-war, he just would have run those wars differently, starting with “getting the oil”.

    Out campaign stumping, he occasionally giving himself whiplash of the tongue putting his mouth in reverse since it is a campaign year, and throwing out the bones to the non-interventionist part of his base that he’s actually doing something to get us out of the Middle East as he promised them.

    From the start, the moment of Soleimani’s murder, Iran began publicly defining the parameters of their retaliation according to Shi’ite Islamic rules, not to mention concisely following the UN rules in exact conformance with UN rules of war, commencing with the astonishing, unprecedented raising of the Red Flag over the Holy Dome Jamkaran Mosque in Qoms.

    As I understand it, and I’m no expert, it is generally central to Shi’ite theology that the only wars that Shia Muslims should conduct are defensive wars when diplomacy fails, or actions meant to overcome an injustice, similar to Eastern Orthodox doctrines of war rooted in the Byzantine Roman Empire’s defensive war policies.

    Shi’ites for a great part of their history were treated as marginalized and oppressed religious communities under various Sunni rulers along with Christian communities with whom they share some sympathy with because of their oppression, marginalization and persecution as heretics, which is still going on today, particularly in the Gulf Arab states like Saudia and Bahrain where Shi’ites are struggling for their civil rights.

    In Bahrain, the Shi’ites are a majority population ruled by a hard core Sunni elite who routinely execute dissenters, and in Saudi Arabia, Shi’ite Arabs are concentrated in Eastern Province and are violently suppressed both by the military and religious persecution.

    Shi’ites revere Ḥusayn ibn Alī ibn Abī Ṭālib who was the grandson of Muhammad, and the son of the pious, wise, and humble Alī ibn Abī Ṭālib, (last Caliph and first Shī‘ah Imām) and Fātimah Zahrā (daughter of Muhammad). Husayn is an important figure in Islām as he is a member of the household of Muhammad as well as being an Imām, and one of The Fourteen Infallibles of Twelvers.

    Ali is the prototype ideal in Sunni Islam for the Commander of the Faithful and his virtues: the first was steadfastness, resistance, and strictness; another was leniency, compassion, and clemency. In Shia Islam only Ali is titled Commander of the Faithful, but his leadership and religious life is to be emulated.

    Ali surrendered his claims to the leadership for the sake of peace among Muslims, retiring to a quiet life as a farmer for about 30 years until he was called back to assume the caliphate.

    Husayn is revered by Shi’ites as the great hero-martyr who fought tyranny, as he refused to pledge allegiance to the treacherous, brutal and murderous Yazīd I, the Umayyad caliph. He rose up to reinstate what he believed to be an authentic Islāmic polity resting on Mohammed’s household as opposed to what he considered the unjust rule of the worldly and corrupt Umayyads.

    If not always consistently throughout history and even now, Shi’ites tend to lean on the side of mercy for the sake of peace, such as when at the end of the Lebanese civil war, they pushed for amnesty for many of the parties involved, including the Maronite Christian militias who were allied to Israhell.

    Iraqi Christians since the end of the war against ISIS are now marginalized again as citizens, their civil rights are being trampled in the disorders of the Iraqi government, and sometimes treated badly by some local Shi’ite groups, often caught up in quarrels with each other.

    My fear for them is that without Soleimani as peacemaker among all the groups, now the Iraqi Christians who have just within the past year or so begun to return to their ancestral homelands with the encouragement and support of their Shia and Sunni neighbors who even began to clean and repair their churches, will wind up being the scapegoats and bear the brunt of Iraqi factional political infighting.

    So the blood-red flag is not, per say, a war flag signaling the commencement or escalation of an aggressive war, but signalling a limited exercise of “vengeance” over unjust bloodshed, a retaliation for a crime committed by another state entity.

    The Islamic state’s intent and rules of engagement to retaliate militarily were in accord with defensive principles, conducted in strict justice and measure “eye-for-eye”, and not at all at odds with international law, either.

    Anyone familiar with the Old Testament may understand the rationale behind the “eye-for-eye” justice provisions in the Law of Moses — the legal provisions were meant to stop blood feuds from forming involving clan and inter-tribal warfare which could go on for generations, and taking to the civil authorities for judgment instead.

    The concept of “an eye for eye,” sometimes called jus talionis or lex talionis, is part of the Mosaic Law used in the Israelites’ justice system.

    The principle is that the punishment must fit the crime and there should be a just penalty for evil actions:

    “If there is serious injury, you are to take life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, burn for burn, wound for wound, bruise for bruise” (Exodus 21:23–25).

    Justice should be equitable; excessive harshness and excessive leniency should both be avoided.

    Besides Exodus 21, the law of “an eye for an eye” is mentioned twice in the Old Testament (Leviticus 24:20; Deuteronomy 19:21).

    Each time, the phrase is used in the context of a case being judged before a civil authority such as a judge. “An eye for an eye” was thus intended to be a guiding principle for lawgivers and judges; it was never to be used to justify vigilantism or settling grievances personally.

    It is not, then incompatible, with what is found in Islamic law, nor the body of civil constitutional Iranian law which is grounded in Islamic religious principles as well as secular constitutional law.

    In other words, besides an act of retaliation sobering enough as a deterrent to wake Trump the hell up, it was also signalling to the Shi’ite world Iran’s intention to overcome a terrible injustice of bloodshed committed by another nation in an aggressive act of war.

    [q]”Iran took and concluded proportionate measures in self-defense under Article 51 of UN Charter targeting [the] base from which cowardly armed attack against our citizens and senior officials were launched,” Zarif wrote on his tweeter page on Wednesday morning.

    The top diplomat said his nation “does not seek escalation or war, but will defend ourselves against any aggression”. [eq]
    https://english.farsnews.com/newstext.aspx?nn=13981018000081

    The fact that this red flag was raised over the Jamkaran Mosque in Qoms is full of symbolic meaning in itself, particularly of its close relationship to the Shi’ites eschatological figure of the Imam al-Mahdi an eschatological redeemer of Islam and ultimate savior of humankind and the final Imam of the Twelve Imams who will emerge with Isa (Jesus Christ) in order to fulfill their mission of bringing peace, mercy and justice to the world.

    Qom is considered holy by Shiʿa Islam, as it is the site of the shrine of Fatimah bint Musa, sister of Imam Ali ibn Musa Rida (Persian Imam Reza, 789–816 CE).

    The city is the largest center for Shiʿa scholarship in the world, and is a significant destination of pilgrimage, with around twenty million pilgrims visiting the city every year, the majority being Iranians but also other Shi’a Muslims from all around the world.

    It is a signal that the state of Iran fully intended to go no further than a retaliatory strike to begin with. That’s just not a stand down. In effect, Tehran drew a circle in the sand and said to the US, we, official Tehran, will go this far and no further in our overt retaliation, unless you escalate.

    Trump declined to escalate, especially after US anti-missile defenses actually were defeated by Iranian technology. US is the one who stood down.

    Per proper diplomatic protocol, Tehran filed a statement with the UN that they were going to be taking limited actions against the US for purpose of retaliatory deterrence.

    Since this was to be an overt military operation, Tehran duly notified the Swiss Embassy, the diplomatic go between for the US and Tehran, giving advance notice of an hour or two for commencement of Tehran’s military action(s) against unnamed and unnumbered military bases.

    This in turn would give the Swiss Embassy time to contact the US Embassy in Baghdad who in turn flash communicate with both the Pentagon and Middle East Command, and the bases already on alert, to have their anti-missile defenses ready.

    Furthermore, Tehran would have formally notified the Iraqi government of their intentions to strike at US bases, more correctly sections of Iraqi bases used for hosting US forces inside sovereign Iraqi territory. Since several Iraqi bases have separate base sections for Iraqi military forces and that of the US, Tehran had care to make sure that the Iraqi personnel had the chance to pull back out of the bases to avoid any injuries.

    No doubt, the Iraqi commanders also warned their US counterparts on the baes, however the official would have come down through the Pentagon and Middle East Command.

    Iranian missiles were programed to strike the US areas, the same ones used in 2017 when Iran fired very accurate strikes on ISIS in Syria — but with upgrades according Iran’s Tasnim News Agency:.

    [q] According to information obtained by Tasnim, the US missile defense systems in Iraq have failed to intercept any missile that the IRGC Aerospace Force rained down on Ain al-Assad airbase in Anbar province in western Iraq early Wednesday.

    In the Iranian attack, launched in retaliation for the US assassination of top Iranian anti-terror commander Lt. General Qassem Soleimani, the IRGC Aerospace Force utilized the Fateh-313 and the Qiam missiles, with a range of 500 km and 800 km, respectively.

    The Fateh-313 missiles have such a high velocity that the American defense systems have been unable to intercept any of the projectiles.

    Moreover, the Qiam missiles fired in the overnight strike have been equipped with radar jamming systems and fragmentation warheads.

    This was the first time that Iran has used such advanced missiles in a combat operation.

    In June 2017, the IRGC had utilized Qiam for hitting the ISIS targets in Syria, but the missiles launched in that operation had regular warheads as the targets had been packed in a small area.

    The fragmentation warhead in each of the Qiam missiles fired in the Wednesday strike have reportedly caused tens of explosions at the American airbase.[eq]

    Of course, the US was warned not make any escalating reaction to the strike which would have sparked a very harse response from Tehran.
    https://www.tasnimnews.com/en/news/2020/01/08/2178117/exclusive-us-base-in-iraq-hit-by-iranian-fragmentation-missiles

    In the meantime, the best information that I have is that there were no American casualties (but the US may be hiding that Israel-style, and there were unconfirmed Iranian reports of 40 or 80 US military personnel killed), and that none of the coalition forces on the bases sustained any injuries either.

    It’s Trump, his White House and his Pentagon that were forced to stand down.

    Tehran’s overt retaliation targeting al-Asad and Erbil military bases ends it for official Tehran, but not for the Iraq state, and not for the regional Axis of Resistance.

    They still have their own scores to settle, and retaliations that will ripple against the US in Iraq, and throughout the “Axis of Resistance” in the efforts to push the US completely out of the ME.

    Since Soleimani was murdered by a sneaky Presidential-directed military operation drone strike, then Tehran would not stoop to such cowardice, and the republic’s retaliation would be publicly and officially conducted by the Iranian military, so that there would be no denying who is responsible for it, and with proper advance diplomatic notice as well following time honored rules of military engagements.

    It would be an open and public retaliation upon a military facility, unlike Trump’s sneak attack, and it doesn’t take a genius to figure out that the Iranian strike would be on the very US base that conducted the drone murder, the US zone of the Iraqi al-Asad military base in Anbar province.

    From what I’ve read, the Iranians struck the Predator drone hanger, the missile arsenal, the helicopters which were also involved in the drone strike — I believe the helicopters helped guide the missiles to their targets by painting the vehicles with lasers.

    A base in Iraqi Kurdistan was also struck, and there was mention that a US consul was also hit, which at 1:20 am, would have been empty.

    If true that a consul was hit, this would have also been a message to Trump about betraying the long-standing rule since time immemorial that one never murders “the king’s messenger” — diplomatic envoys. The murder of a diplomatic messenger was a casus belli in itself.

    It would seem that the Iranians knew of Trump’s duplicity using his contacts with Prime Minister Abdul al-Mahdi asking for Soleimani’s assistance mediating the protests at the US embassy as a pretext, and then using Soleimani’s back channel envoy mission to the Saudis as the very means to target him for the drone strike.

    I don’t imagine that our own US generals are very happy with Trump’s decision to direct the military to openly assassinate a general of a country with whom we are not in a technical state of war, and never have been, despite Pence’s stupid efforts to blame Iran for 9/11. Trump left it wide open for attacks on any US general officer, especially in the Middle East.

    At least for the past few centuries, there has always been a universal military rule common to all military traditions that generals do not deliberately attempt to kill off other generals, even the generals of your enemy. If as a special diplomatic envoy on a mission from one state to another state, even a military officer in a war zone going to talk terms with military counterparts travels under a figurative white flag of truce.

    Soleimani had the popular patriotic war hero stature in Iran as Eisenhower in the early 50s. Can you imagine what national sentiment would have been in America if someone had assassinated Eisenhower?

    Anyway, Iran managed to humiliate the US (as Khamenei said, “a slap across the face”) but in a manner calculated to be under the probable boundaries of what would launch a US and/or Israeli counter-strike.

    And, Iran warned the US that if there was an escalating counter-strike, Iran’s retaliation would default to hitting Israel hard — everything the ZOG occupied DC holds sacred and dear.

    Make no mistake, Iran and its regional allies, now including more of Iraq than ever, will work to push the US military presence out of the Middle East.

    Great read KathJuliane!

    When I read Iran’s actions of sending missiles was a “Slap to America’s face”, you know, I never really had a problem with that description at all!

    I felt Trump was cowardly in sending a drone, and I told him so! That’s the sneaky wormy jew’s evil right there, along with Israel claiming they failed at their attempt to take him out themselves — “Please help us, Whaaaa” :(… only to leave Trump/US holding this bag of dog s—!

    Let Iran feel the way they need to feel about this! I seriously hope that with time this will bring Iran and the US closer together. It’s not un-heard of.

    We’re friends with most of the countries we went to war with today, but IsraHell won’t allow that to easily be done!

    Trump now must withdraw all troops from Iraq. If he does not, it’s going to be 99% off all false flags at the False Flag Emporium – get ’em while they last folks!

    Is it possible that Iran false flagged themselves, or rather the Ukraine airliner to blame US/Irahell, and is why they refuse to release the 2 Black boxes?

  79. KathJuliane January 9, 2020 @ 12:35 pm

    Dear Horrible Deplorable,

    Thank you.

    Today I’m reading more that proves to me that Tehran went strictly by the rules of international law, usual and customary diplomatic protocols, rules of regular military engagement per the international laws governing war and conflict, as well as their own rules of religious law.

    The Iranians are an educated people. The commanders of the Iranian armed forces and the IRGC often have university degrees. Ayatollah Khamenei’s own defense adviser, a retired IRGC general, himself has a PhD in Management (comparable to Business/Government Administration, I believe) from Tehran University, which is a world-class university.

    So, Tehran fulfilled all obligations, carrying out this retaliation with minimum risk to anyone’s life including US military personnel.

    Besides what formal notifications were previously described, AFP ran the story that on Wednesday, the Iraq PM Abdul al-Mahdi stated that Iran informed the Iraqi government sometime close to midnight of it’s imminent missile attack on US forces, scheduled to launch at 01:20 am, the precise time that Soleimani was murdered.

    The Iraqi government naturally protested the violation of their sovereign air space, but conspicuous by its absence is any condemnation of the IRGC’s missile strikes itself.

    I read in passing that Tehran even warned the civil US Federal Aviation Administration in advance, so that the FAA could issue emergency Notices to Airmen (NOTAM) security warnings about Iran’s imminent retaliatory strike on US targets in Iraq.

    Emergency FAA warnings would be immediately published and broadcast to American civil flights internationally and all foreign aviation authorities to allow them to time divert, ground or safely land flights from the Iraq & Iran air space.

    On the 7th/8th of January, the FAA published permanent until further notice emergency NOTAMS banning American civilian air flights into Iraqi and Iranian air space.

    [https://www.faa.gov/AIR_TRAFFIC/PUBLICATIONS/US_RESTRICTIONS/media/KICZ_A0001-20_Prohibition_NOTAM-Baghdad.pdf]

    [https://www.faa.gov/AIR_TRAFFIC/PUBLICATIONS/US_RESTRICTIONS/media/KICZ_A0002-20_Prohibition_NOTAM-Tehran.pdf]

    Trump has even more innocent Iranian blood on his hands.

    If he had not murdered General Soleimani and his aides, along with al-Muhandes, 59 Iranian mourners would still be alive, who died in the immense crowd’s stampede crush that was surging in an effort to pass cloths to touch Soleimani’s coffin being transported by truck in the last leg of the funeral procession for his interment in the martyrs’ cemetery in his home town of Kerman, Iraq.

    213 more Iranians were injured in the crush, according to Iran’s emergency medical services. The incident forced Soleimani’s burial to be delayed by several hours.

    In fact, Soleimani was finally laid to rest after the IRGC’s missile strikes on the US military bases — certainly rich with symbolic meaning in itself.

    The media mention that the IRGC struck a US consul facility hasn’t panned out with any sort of confirmation.

    Now I’ve read in the “fog of propaganda” in US sources that the missiles struck a civilian airport outside of Erbil, Iraqi Kurdistan, with a section housing a US military post of some sort, and that several missiles overshot and just hit desert.

    If the strike on a ‘civilian airport’ is true, then this is certainly in direct parity with the fact that the US military conducted a drone murder at the direction of the US president while Soleimani, al-Muhandes, and their entourage were hit by a US military airstrike on the premises of the purely civilian Baghdad International Airport.

    The Red Flag unfurled over the Holy Dome Of Jamkarān Mosque, Qom Iran is still flying, which means the call to avenge and exact retribution for General Soleimani and General al-Muhandes’ murders hasn’t ended. First, official Baghdad and the PMF militias are still working out their response, largely in the form of pushing the US completely out of Iraq.

    Only the phase of Tehran’s formal and overt military response launched by the IRGC is completed. There’s more to come, and most of it will return to covert actions and “irregular warfare” conducted through the Quds Forces.

    The Iranians are very patient. I do believe that a significant part of Tehran’s calculus for retributive acts will depend on how Trump’s re-election campaign is going, and so no major covert retaliatory actions may be taken until after the 2020 elections, especially if it could help Trump’s re-election.

    If it could hurt Trump’s chances, that’s a different story.

    Baghdad and the PMF also reserve the rights of retributive justice for not only the Iraqi PMF killed in the US air attacks on 5 Iraqi security bases along the Iraqi-Syria border, but also for the Iraqi regular armed forces and federal police personnel killed and injured in those strikes.

    The PMU coalition of seven Iraqi militias were incorporated into the Iraqi armed services structure, and officially no longer represent various Shi’a parties. However, some of the Shia militias also went their own way, so there are independent Shia militias in Iraq.

    Instead, the Shia militias that accepted federalization as national defense units in the Iraqi armed forces formed their own political party wings with seats in the parliament separate from the military wing, much like Hezbollah is an official political parliamentary party as well as the armed wing.

    Political efforts to evict the US will occur first. The anti-US movement has gone through several cycles last year, each time picking up steam both in parliament and among the Iraqi people themselves.

    The airstrikes on the five Iraqi military bases, and the assassination of al-Muhandes, himself a national hero-martyr for his command of the PMU coaltion of Shi’ite militias that were called to the fore, and reversed ISIS conquests of Iraq, may have been the straw that broke the camel’s back.

  80. KathJuliane January 9, 2020 @ 12:39 pm

    Dear Jewicide,

    As for the Boeing 737 owned by Ukraine International Airlines which crashed outside of Tehran, I fully believe it was a tragic accident not related at all to anything that Iran did in the way of heightened defense status after the IRGC’s retaliatory strike, even though Trump is now calling it a “mistake”, implying that somehow the plane went down because Iran’s defense system mistook it for an enemy aircraft and shot it down.

    That thinking might work if the UIA flight was inbound at decreasing elevation toward Tehran, but this airplane was taking off from Tehran airport towards Ukraine, and so it was outbound and climbing in elevation. The aircraft went down not far outside of Tehran.

    The Boening 737 took off from Tehran’s Imam Khomeini International Airport at 6:10 a.m. local time, . The pilots made it to 7,900 feet before the plane disappeared from the radars.

    Then it crashed in a field 30 miles northwest of Tehran. The crash killed all 176 people on board.

    The airplane had no Americans, but killed “[T]hree Britons, three Germans, 63 Canadians, 10 Swedes, 11 Ukrainians, 82 Iranians and four Afghans.”

    A major indication that it was mechanical failure of some sort is that, from what I’ve read in Iranian media and social networks, that the pilot immediately requested a return emergency landing at Tehran airport citing engine failure. A Boeing 737 is a twinjet aircraft.

    The loss of one engine is a catastrophe in the making because 50% of the engine power needed for balancing flight and making turns is gone.

    When the pilot crew realized that the plane was going down and would strike a residential area, they worked to turn the aircraft into an agricultural area, and no doubt attempted a crash belly landing in the field.

    A witness to the incident claimed that the pilot of the doomed vehicle courageously steered it out of the way of a residential area and towards a soccer field, crashing onto it and subsequently into a canal.
    https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/jan/08/iran-plane-crash-ukraine-boeing-180-tehran

    It exploded when it hit the ground, no doubt because the passenger plane was carrying a full load of fuel in the belly tanks.

    The Ukrainian embassy has already stated that it was engine failure, not a missile, that caused the crash. However, now Ukrainian investigators are “considering the possibility it was brought down by a missile”.

    Anything is possible. And of course, like Trump is trying to do already by calling the air crash a “mistake,” the US will politicize it and try to blame Iran.

    However, Ukrainian-Israeli billionaire Igor Kolomoisky owns Ukrainian International Airlines. I read some chatter early on that Kolomoisky stints on aircraft maintenance, which may or may not be true.

    On the same hand, UIA, given the economic conditions in Ukraine, may have been exercising maintenance shortcuts, or else there was sloppy maintenance, such as leaving a tool in one of the engines, which would definitely cause a jet engine to explode and catch on fire.

    Videos of the aircraft show that it was going down intact with an engine on fire. If it had been accidentally struck by a defensive missile, parts would have started breaking off and the aircraft would break up while still in the air.

    To my eye, the pilots did everything they could to emergency land the plane, and it cracked up on a violent belly landing impact at high speed. It did not drill nose down into the ground. Having just missed a residential area, there are numerous witnesses who heard and saw the aircraft go down and crash.

    The body of the plane (and the mostly intact bodies of passengers) was stretched out on the ground pieces and sections that fell off as the plane belly skidded along more or less forming a straight line.
    Citizen videos of scene:

    https://twitter.com/i/status/1214800277485674496
    https://twitter.com/i/status/1214821871587336192

    As for turning over the black boxes to Ukraine, Boeing, or America, the crash occurred in Iran. Therefore it is the Iranaian aviation investigative authority which has sole jurisdiction over the air disaster and all of its evidence.

    They are responsible for the custody of all the evidence from the disaster, including all aircraft parts, and the forensic chain of evidence. When the Iran Civil Aviation Organization has completed their investigation to their satisfaction, they may, or may not release the black boxes, and their final answer as to causes will be with their official report.

    But they are certainly aware of the ongoing politicization of the Ukrainian shoot down of Malaysian Flight 17, and the corrupt efforts to blame Russia.

    No doubt, Ukrainian and Boeing aviation investigators will be invited to Iran to monitor, and even co-participate in the disaster investigation. Perhaps they may be present when the black boxes are cracked and decoded, but to hand over the black boxes on demand contrary to common and usual international aviation standards and procedures for air disaster investigations would be stupid, especially given to US hands.

    And the Iranians aren’t stupid.

    However, that there’s been a rush to demand the black boxes, contrary to all normal international standards of aviation disaster investigations, points to the beginning politization of the crash, and even raises my Jewdar.

    Like I said, Ukrainian-Israeli Ihor Kolomoisky owns UAI, and Mossad practically owns Kiev.

    Just saying. I’d hate to be called an “anti-Semite” or something.

    Far be it from me to say that, although its most likely this is an awful aviation accident, that Mossad (or the MEK even) might have been responsible for crashing the UIA aircraft with a full load of multi-national passengers, including a lot Canadians, which some reports have said were Canadian-Iranians.

    The Iranian Foreign Ministry asks Brussels to explain to Trump that it is time to stop.

    The same goal was pursued by the symbolic blow by Tehran on the American Ain Assad Air Base.

    It was captured by the Americans back in 2003 with the help of the Australian special forces.

    In recent years, it has become a kind of “hostel for NATO”: the UK, the Netherlands, and Canada have deployed their troops there.

    Last night, Norwegian troops were almost caught under fire.

    The Pentagon was planning a massive reconstruction of the base in order to deploy B-52 strategic bombers there.

    Obviously, the B-52s deployed to Iraq would be a big danger to Iran, but also Russia, the Caucasus, and the rest of Central Asia. Russia and Iran share the Caspian Sea. – Kj

    I’m at the point where I really believe that modern warfare ought to take a radical turn for the ancient ways, and that wars be fought on set battlefields, either with designated champions for each side, or opposing armies, and winner take all.

    The ancients much preferred this form of warfare, as it spared the civilian population, agriculture, food supplies, markets and local industries, and civil works and infrastructure. Unwalled towns, cities, and villages were nearly always left alone in the way of ancient warfare.

    Walled cities were given always the choice of surrender to the conquering king and become a vassal, or else come under siege warfare if they refused. If they refused, these fortified cities usually to stick out the siege as they had usually set by large stores of grain, oil, and dried foods. Sometimes they outlasted the army that had laid siege, as hoped for relief came to the city’s aid.

    No king wanted to take over a land ravaged by war, especially since 80% of all ancient economies depended on agriculture.

    My first candidate to send to battlefield warfare with the Iranians would be this idiot, Donald Trump, Jr. He calls himself ‘General of the Meme Wars.”

    He fights “Muzzies” in his head. He considers himself a modern day Crusader saving Jerusalem because he owns a tricked up semi-auto rifle complete with a custom Crusader Kingdom of Jerusalem Cross on a stylized Crusader knight’s helmet. [The lock-her-up Clinton meme is funny, though].

    He posted these brag photos last Sunday on Instagram implying Trump’s “crusader war” against Iran, just hours before Soleimani was murdered, so of course he was in on his father’s planned deed.

    https://www.instagram.com/p/B67J4TTlnDn/

    Just for the record, Eastern Christians absolutely have no fond memories of the Crusader kingdoms in the Holy Land, or the Latin Frankish Empire of Constantinople after the Crusaders sacked Constantinople in 1204.

    The Latin Franks then ran the Roman Empire into the ground with 60 more years of misrule and greed, stripping all of the empire’s cultural and material wealth and Church treasures before the real Romans managed to wrest back their ruined and impoverished empire.

    It was not the Turks who pried off the gold leaf mosaic pieces in the backgrounds of the great mosaic icons of the the Cathedral of the Hagia Sophia in Constantinople after his conquest in 1453, it was the Crusaders who did it going after the gold.

    Donald, Jr posted his fever-dream, Crusader-knightly LARP photos a day or two after his brother Eric tweeted, and then deleted

    “Eric Trump @EricTrump

    Bout to open up a big ol’ can of whoop ass #DontMessWithTheBest #USAUSAUSA”
    https://polititweet.org/tweet?account=39349894&tweet=1212157612151771136

    Both Eric Trump and Donald Jr apparently knew about the US strike against the Iranian military commander — and boastfully hinted to the world about it two days before, and again just within about 12 hours before respectively, it happened.

    All of the Trumps are dipshits. The boys are certainly chips off the old turd, war criminal pardoner that he is.

    They should be in the front battle ranks of any war with Iran.

    I believe that Trump had a personal grudge against General Soleimani. Here is why from 2018 delivered in Soleimani’s understated way:

    MEMRI TV Videos [English captions]:

    In response to U.S. President Trump’s recent tweet to Iranian President Rouhani, IRGC Qods Force Commander General Qasem Soleimani warned “Trump the gambler” that “You may start the war, but we will be the ones to determine its end.”

    In a speech delivered on July 26 in the city of Hamedan, General Soleimani said that Trump’s rhetoric was “that of a bartender or a casino manager” and warned him that “we are near you in places that you can’t even imagine. We are a nation of martyrdom.” His speech aired on Iran’s Channel 5.

    Complete transcript:

    [q] The US President, in response to statements by our President, made some idiotic comments on Twitter.

Trump the gambler…Let me tell you, Know that we are near you, in places that don’t come to your mind.

You may start the war, but we will be the ones to determine its end.

[eq]

    Back to Iran.

    Iran has stated, per the Times of Israel, that the UIA flight turned back toward the airport but didn’t radio a distress call.

    President Zelenski is the voice of reason concerning the UIA crash outside of Tehran. Ukraine has sent their aviation investigators to assist the Iranian disaster investigation. Also per the Times of Israel:

    [q] Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, meanwhile, said crash investigators from his country had arrived in Iran to assist in the probe. He also said he planned to call Iranian President Hassan Rouhani about the crash and the investigation.

    “Undoubtedly, the priority for Ukraine is to identify the causes of the plane crash,” Zelenskiy said. “We will surely find out the truth.” [eq]

    Well, here’s a jewel.

    Even without the melancholy violins and flute, this one got me.

    It is so true to who this man was, and inspired others to do under unfathomable combat conditions.

    The clip is entirely consistent with everything I watched over the years in the battles against ISIS, al-Qaeda, and all the other terrorist groups in Syria.

    The first objective of tactical planning was to make every effort on the ground to rescue women, children, the disabled and elderly trapped in the neighborhoods before commencing maneuver warfare operations against al-Qaeda and ISIS, and all the other units of the CIA’s international Wahabist jihadist army.

    Thousands of Syrian fighters died trying to rescue as many as possible on foot, going in to the neighborhoods under fire, making door to door searches, and then escorting the defenseless out, some of the disabled and elderly carried on the soldiers’ backs.

    WATCH: House approves War Powers Resolution

    January 9, 2020, 6:00 PM

    The House voted Thursday on a measure limiting President Donald Trump’s ability to take military action against Iran as Democratic criticism of the U.S. killing of a top Iranian general intensified. The House approved the resolution, 224-194. The vote was largely along party lines.

    Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., announced the planned vote in a one-page statement that said last week’s drone strike that killed Gen. Qassem Soleimani was “provocative and disproportionate.”

    Iran is going for maximum transparency on the UIA air disaster investigation.

    Contrary to Western propaganda chatter that Iran is trying to keep the investigation closed (implying something to hide), countries with a direct interest whose nationals were among the victims of the crash, as well as the manufacturer and operator of the Boeing 737-800 aircraft, are being represented in the investigation per international aviation law.

    Boeing represented in Iran investigation into Ukrainian plane crash: Official

    Iran says American aircraft manufacturer Boeing will be represented in an investigation into the crash of a passenger plane made by the company and operated by an Ukrainian airline which took place on January 8 near Tehran.

    A senior official of Iran Civil Aviation Organization (CAO.IRI) said on Thursday that all parties involved in the crash, which left all 176 people onboard killed, will be represented in the ongoing probe.

    Hassan Rezayifar said countries whose nationals were among the victims of the crash, as well as the manufacturer and operator of the Boeing 737-800 aircraft, should be lawfully represented in the investigation.

    “In addition to Ukraine, Sweden and Canada have introduced their advisors and the plane manufacturer has also introduced its legal representative to the CAO.IRI,” Rezayifar told IRIB News.

    The comments come amid rumors suggesting that Iran is blocking any participation by the US in the investigations into the incident for the Ukraine International Airlines flight, which was en route to Kiev from Tehran when one of its engines reportedly caught fire before it crashed just outside the Iranian capital.

    The incident came hours after Iran fired dozens of missiles on US military bases in neighboring Iraq to respond to a US military attack in the Arab country last week which killed a top Iranian commander.

    However, Western intelligence estimates have rejected claims that the civilian aircraft was downed by an Iranian-fired missile.

    Iranian authorities have also ruled out any such possibility while insisting that they would get to the bottom of the incident to make the causes known to the world.

    Most of the passengers travelling onboard the plane were Iranians or Iranian-Canadians who were returning to Canada for study or work after spending the winter holidays in Iran.

    Justin Trudeau’s statement that Iranian missiles shot down the Ukranian passenger plain, before the investigation has even begun, carries no weight.

    You can be sure the “intelligence” he is getting comes from Israel, a nation with a long track record of using passenger planes, and putting civilian lives at risk, to attack other nations.

    They did it at Entebbe, they did it with a Russian plane in Syria, and they are probably involved in this lastest incident.

    Live sacrifice of the innocent and helpless, be they lambs to make coiture meat, sniping children, murdering nurses or running over peace activists with bull dozers, or killing children in Kabbalist ceremonies is a jewish thing, and solid evidence of hereditary cowardice.

    No other military in world history has ever made the murder of children official policy. Sacrificing children is a jewish thing. They own it.

    The young Trudeau imported members of the White Helmets into Canada at the request of Israel. The White Helmets who are constantly boosted by CNN propagandist Nick Paton Walsh as a humanitarian group, but they are are just a collection of NGO terrorists, probably responsible for the Syrian gas attacks.

    Justin Trudeau is a zero credibiity political figure, who just lost the popular vote in Canada recently, and clings to power with a weak coalition.

    Exclusive: Informants in Iraq, Syria helped U.S. kill Iran’s Soleimani – sources

    Reuters

    Investigators have focused on how suspected informants inside the Damascus and Baghdad airports collaborated with the U.S. military to help track and pinpoint Soleimani’s position, according to Reuters interviews with two security officials with direct knowledge of Iraq’s investigation, two Baghdad airport employees, two police officials and two employees of Syria’s Cham Wings Airlines, a private commercial airline headquartered in Damascus.

    The probe is being led by Falih al-Fayadh, who serves as Iraq’s National Security Adviser and the head of the PMF, the body that coordinates with Iraq’s mostly Shi’ite militias, many of which are backed by Iran and had close ties to Soleimani.

    The National Security agency’s investigators have “strong indications that a network of spies inside Baghdad Airport were involved in leaking sensitive security details” on **Soleimani’s arrival to the United States,** one of the Iraqi security officials told Reuters.

    The suspects include two security staffers at the Baghdad airport and two Cham Wings employees – “a spy at the Damascus airport and another one working on board the airplane,” the source said.

    The National Security agency’s investigators believe the four suspects, who have not been arrested, worked as part of a wider group of people feeding information to the U.S. military, the official said.

    The two employees of Cham Wings are under investigation by Syrian intelligence, the two Iraqi security officials said. The Syrian General Intelligence Directorate did not respond to a request for comment.

    In Baghdad, National Security agents are investigating the two airport security workers, who are part of the nation’s Facility Protection Service, one of the Iraqi security officials said.

    “Initial findings of the Baghdad investigation team suggest that the first tip on Soleimani came from Damascus airport,” the official said. “The job of the Baghdad airport cell was to confirm the arrival of the target and details of his convoy.”

    General Soleimani was key figure in cooperation with Russia – Iran leader’s top adviser

    TASS

    “Soleimani was a key figure in our bilateral partnership with Russia and showed big respect for Russian President Vladimir Putin, with whom he had close relationship”, Ali Akbar Velayati said

    TASS, January 6. Former Commander of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps General Qasem Soleimani did much for strengthening strategic cooperation with Russia, foreign policy adviser to the Iranian supreme leader Ali Akbar Velayati said at the general’s farewell ceremony, the Al-Alam TV Channel reported on Monday.

    “Soleimani was a key figure in our bilateral partnership with Russia and showed big respect for Russian President Vladimir Putin, with whom he had close relationship,” the Iranian leader’s top foreign policy adviser said at the general’s farewell ceremony in Tehran.

    “If not for the courage displayed by the commander of the Quds Force in most responsible moments, Baghdad would have fallen into the hands of terrorists from the Islamic State [terrorist grouping outlawed in Russia] while Salafi extremists would have come to power in Damascus,” Velayati said.

    “By killing General Soleimani, the United States did the most stupid thing and now ‘a second Vietnam’ awaits America, if they do not withdraw their troops from the Middle East,” Velayati stressed.

    Army General Mark Milley, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, absolutely insisted to the American public that Iran’s missile attack intended to kill U.S. personnel at Iraq’s al-Asad airbase.

    Tehran warned the US 3 hours in advance of the strike on the two US installations.

    How silly of you, Tehran, to telegraph your moves and obvious intent to murder American military and service personnel.

    Three hours warning. That’s not anything close to “white knuckling” it out of there, as in such a close call that you have leave the base in such a screaming hurry that you grab onto the dashboard so hard your knuckles turn white. [Sarcasm off]

    –They say Iran tipped the U.S. off about attacks via a European embassy

    –The officials say the Iranians also ensured their plans were easily detectable to the U.S. via satellites and eavesdropping

    –An official said the hours-long warning enabled a U.S. military officer to visit one of the bases in Iraq and warn them of when and where the missiles would strike

    ‘Human error’: Tehran admits to shooting down Ukrainian plane by mistake

    RT

    The Ukrainian passenger aircraft that recently crashed in Iran’s capital was brought down due to “human error,” according to Iranian state television, citing еру military.

    The Ukrainian passenger aircraft that recently crashed in Iran’s capital was brought down due to “human error” after flying too close to defense installations, triggering an accidental missile launch.
    A military statement read on state media channels came as the first confirmation from Iranian officials that a missile, and not an engine fire, caused the crash last Wednesday. The statement noted that the shootdown was “unintentional” and maintained that those responsible would face consequences.

    The surgery involves making an incision in the scrotum, turning the skin of the penile shaft inside-out, removing most of the internal shaft of the penis (while preserving the head and the urethra), and then repositioning the end the urethra above the new vaginal entry into the pocket of skin created by the inverted penile skin.

    Interestingly, they showed the medical interview with the pre-surgical candidate, who, outwardly at least, looked and talked just like a female. 2 years of estrogen therapy, and a psychiatric evaluation are mandatory prerequisites for the surgery.

    The fingerprints of Israeli intelligence, the Mossad, are unmistakably present in the assassination of Qasem Soleimani.

    If Americans Knew

    by Ramzy Baroud and Romana Rubeo, reposted from Mintpress

    By killing top Iranian military commander, Qasem Soleimani, American and Israeli leaders demonstrated the idiom ‘out of the frying pan into the fire.’

    US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu are both politically and legally embattled – the former has just been impeached and the latter is dogged by an Attorney General indictment and investigation into major corruption cases.

    Despairing, out of options and united by a common cause, both leaders were on the lookout for a major disruption – that would situate them in a positive light within their countries’ respective media – and they found it.

    The assassination of the Iranian major general in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and commander of its Quds Force, Soleimani, on January 3, along with several Iranian military leaders by a US drone was a testament to the degree of that US and Israeli desperation.

    Although there has been no official confirmation or denial of the Israeli role in the US operation, it is only logical to assume indirect or even direct Israeli involvement in the assassination.

    Over the last few months, the possibility of a war against Iran has once more gained momentum, topping the agenda of Israel’s foreign policy makers. Politically beleaguered Netanyahu has repeatedly and tirelessly asked his friends in Washington to increase pressure on Teheran.

    “Iran is increasing its aggression as we speak,” Netanyahu claimed on December 4, during a meeting with US Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo. “We are actively engaging in countering that aggression.”

    One can only assume what “active engagement” from the overtly militant Israeli point of view can possibly mean in this context.

    Moreover, the fingerprints of the Israeli intelligence, the Mossad, are unmistakably present in the assassination. It is plausible that the attack at Soleimani’s convoy near the Baghdad International airport was a joint CIA-Mossad operation.

    It is well-known that Israel has more experience in targeted assassinations in the region than all Middle Eastern countries combined. It has killed hundreds of Palestinian and Arab activists this way.

    The assassination of Hezbollah’s top military leader – the movement’s second in command – Imad Mughniyah in February 2008, in Syria, was only one of numerous such killings.

    Recent events in Iraq – the mass protests and attempt by unarmed protesters to storm the US embassy in Baghdad on December 31 – were, to some extent, a game changer.

    Initially, they were understood as an angry response to US airstrikes on an Iranian-backed militia [official part of the Iraqi armed forces – Kj] group on Sunday, but the protests had unintended consequences as well, particularly dangerous from a US military and strategic perspective.

    For the first time since the phony US ‘withdrawal’ from Iraq under the previous administration of Barack Obama in 2012, a new collective understanding began maturing among ordinary Iraqis and their representatives that the US must leave the country for good.

    Acting quickly, the US, with palpable Israeli giddiness, assassinated Soleimani to send a clear message to Iraq and Iran that demanding or expecting an American withdrawal is a red line that cannot be crossed – and to the whole Middle East that the evident US retreat from the region will not be duplicated in Iraq.

    Senator Matt Gaetz is Trump’s #1 Trumpean and ally, and he has hardly ever, like never, been anything but a cheerleader, defender, and an enabler.

    Until now. Gaetz must have woken up and realized he was a US senator with responsibilities and obligations to the Constitution and the separation of powers, and has been urging fellow senators to vote for the Iran war resolution.

    Gaetz is now on Trump’s very bad, so sad list.

    CNN reporting on a Washington Post article:

    Rep. Matt Gaetz pushed his fellow Republicans to buck President Donald Trump and vote in support of the Iran war powers resolution, aimed at curbing the President’s power to take military action, according to The Washington Post.

    The Post reported that Gaetz’s office had sent an email to all Republican offices Thursday, urging them to vote in favor of the resolution — which the President and his team were lobbying his party to vote against.

    That attempt to convince other Republicans, along with his own vote, made Gaetz the subject of Trump’s ire, the Post and CNN reported.

    “We WILL be voting in favor of H. Con. Res. 83, and hope you will do the same!” Gaetz’s legislative director wrote in an email obtained by the Post.

    Gaetz has been a strong Trump supporter and a fierce defender of the President, including in the impeachment inquiry.

    A source familiar with the matter told CNN on Friday that Trump told associates he wasn’t very happy with Gaetz’s vote, but it’s not expected to have a lasting impact on their relationship.

    Some House Republicans did try to talk Gaetz out of voting for the resolution but he was committed to supporting it, the source said.

    Gaetz said during an interview on Thursday that he knew he had rankled the President.

    “I think he would’ve preferred I voted differently, but he understands my principled view on this subject,” Gaetz told CNN, after saying he had spoken to Trump about the vote.

    The White House told the Post that it hopes Gaetz’s views on the matter will change.

    “The Trump administration was disappointed in the congressman’s vote and is hopeful that as the President’s foreign policy continues to unfold, he will reconsider his points of view,” Eric Ueland, the White House director of legislative affairs, told the paper.

    A senior White House official told the Post that it was “super uncool” and “quite unwise” for Gaetz to support limits on the President’s authority.

    That official also told the newspaper that White House officials would not be returning the Florida Republican’s calls, texts, “smoke signals or his kneelings in the snow.”

    Continued: https://us.cnn.com/2020/01/10/politics/trump-matt-gaetz-iran-war-powers-resolution/index.html

    Yes, indeedy.

    “Kneelings in the snow” alludes back to when Holy Roman Emperor Henry IV trekked across the Alps in 1077 to beg for Pope Gregory VII’s forgiveness.

    Only after three days of kneeling in the snow did the medieval ruler finally convince the Pontiff to welcome him back into the Catholic Church; Henry IV had been excommunicated for usurping the Pope’s authority and appointing his own bishops.

    Never mind that the German emperors had been appointing the German bishops for centuries, a long-standing authority which the Pope usurped to begin with, by stirring up revolt in Germany in an effort to undermine imperial authority.

    This kicked off the next sixty years of the Investiture Controversy between the German emperors and the imperial Papacy.

    In any case, whatever “senior White House official” made this comment, it means that no matter how much Graetz “repents,” Trump will not welcome him back into the fold and considers him a personal traitor. Graetz should be on the alert for the (mostly) figurative shiv between the ribs.

    The Trumpoids in the White House, however, need to pay attention to the rest of the story. A few years after groveling in the snow before the pope, Emperor Henry IV finally deposed Gregory VII.

    Just sayin’.

    In the meantime, it’s all a sign that Trump’s rationale for murdering Soleimani is falling apart, and his ever-changing Iran story is costing him unconditional Republican support in Congress, even among the most ardent of emperor venerators.

    Official ISIS Newspaper ‘Thanks God’ for Trump Killing Iran’s General Soleimani

    21st Century Wire

    It was only a matter of time before US President Donald Trump got the recognition he deserved for America’s military exploits these past two weeks.

    Yesterday, Trump received glowing praise from the official international ISIS newspaper, Al Naba, highlighting Washington’s assassination of Iranian IRGC’s General Qasem Soleimani on January 3rd.

    In an ideal world, this latest endorsement by ISIS for Trump’s actions should really put to rest the well-worn Washington and Israeli propaganda talking point that Soleimani was an “evil and deadly terrorist.”

    Unfortunately, the current American political discourse is so thoroughly coated in layers of political fiction that this might take a while to sink in.

    One only has to take a cursory look at reports over the last few years to quickly realise exactly how valuable the Iranian military and its celebrated general were in the global war on terror. Yet, this reality is mostly lost on US war hawks and America’s Conservative punditry class.

    In her recent reporting, BBC Monitoring editor Mimi Al-Lami described how Islamic State terrorists are now “thanking God,” that the US and Iran are busy targeting each other, and “indifferent to the impact it has on their mutual fight against the Islamic State.”

    https://twitter.com/Minalami/status/1215558265272197122

    The inconvenient fact that Soleimani was actually leading the fight against ISIS in Iraq and Syria between 2014 and 2018, has been carefully airbrushed from most US media coverage and commentary.

    But this wasn’t always the case. Even leading pro-war outlets like CNN admitted as far back as 2015 how US military officials acknowledged the pivotal leadership role played by the Iranian Quds Force commander – which helped turn the tide against the deadly terrorist wave.

    Retired US Army General and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Martin Dempsey, also praised Iran and Soleimani’s role in the fight against ISIS in Iraq and in particular, in the Battle of Tikrik, calling it ‘a positive step’.

    Newsweek said at the time, “without Iranian assistance and Soleimani’s guidance, the offensive on Tikrit may not have been possible.”

    US Army Lt. Col. Robert Maginnis reiterated the praise for Soleimani back in November 2014, explaining, “The fighting that’s going on now in Iraq [against Islamic state] quite frankly has been led by General Soleimani, the Quds Force out of Tehran.”

    https://twitter.com/dancohen3000/status/1215732072020619271

    Despite all of this, the rabid calls for military intervention dominate the Beltway’s bellicose conversation.

    Behind Trump and US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, are perennial Republican hawks like Sens. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), Marco Rubio (R-FL), Tom Cotton (R-AR) and Ben Sasse (R-NE), all of whom have been crowing endlessly about their seemingly great acheivement following the US drone attack which was carried out near Baghdad International Airport on Friday January 3rd.

    Their narrative is all but baked into any commentary after the fact, mainly to somehow justify what the White House has just done.

    The reclassification of Soleimani as a “terrorist” – and not someone who was instrumental in fighting terrorism, is perhaps one of Washington’s great propaganda successes of recent years.

    Now with Soleimani out of the way, ISIS thanked the United States for eliminating one of its most feared adversaries. BBC’s Al-Lami adds:

    “It welcomes IS enemies being busy fighting each other, saying it distracts them away from “Muslims” and drains their energy which, it adds, benefits jihadists.”

    “The killing of Soleimani “has created changes in the path of the Crusader campaign against the Islamic State and its soldiers, which we believe is part of God’s support for His patient mujahidin.”

    Coming to grips with the actual reality on the ground in the region may be out of the scope of understanding of American neoconservative war hawks, who generally view the Middle East in terms of binary and sectarian paradigms like Israel vs Muslims, or Shia vs Sunni.

    Hence, it may take a while longer before any of this can filter through into the collective consciousness of a highly propagandized 21st century American society.

    For Trump’s MAGA cult followers, this cold reality will be even more difficult to grasp, and may never penetrate this group’s membrane of cognitive dissonance.

    The loss of Soleimani in the war on terror was echoed by Rev Ibrahim Nseir, a pastor and leading Christian voice in the Middle East from the Arab Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Aleppo, who said, “All what Qassem Soleimani did was stand up for Christians against ISIS and Al Qaeda.”

    [https://twitter.com/HadiNasrallah/status/1214253043484631045]

    Based on the terrorist group’s recent statement, General Qasem Soleimani was certainly regarded a mortal enemy of ISIS and al Qaeda in the Middle East, and will no doubt be remembered throughout the region as a key figure in the battle to push back radical jihadist terror.

    If ISIS does reemerge, then there’s a risk that residents of the region may also remember Donald Trump’s double assassination of Iran’s General Qassem Soleimani and the Iraqi military’s PMU commander, Abu Mahdi al Mouhendis – for what it truly was, a gift to global terrorism.

    Let’s hope the region can eventually overcome these reoccurring pestilences.

    Trump administration warns Iraq could lose New York Fed account if US troops forced to leave: WSJ

    CNBC

    The Trump administration this week warned Iraq that it could lose access to its central bank account at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York if Baghdad expels American troops from the region, Iraqi officials told The Wall Street Journal.

    Shutting down Iraq’s account at the Federal Reserve Bank could be detrimental to its financial system. The country puts its revenue from oil sales there, and takes out that money to pay government salaries and contracts.

    The State Department’s warning follows the U.S. airstrike that killed Maj. Gen. Qasem Soleimani, Iran’s top military commander and the face of the Islamic Republic’s interventions across the Middle East.

    Iranian Jews Offer Condolences to Family of Iranian General Soleimani

    Syrian News/Times of Israel

    January 9, 2020

    Iranian Jews paid a condolence call at the home of assassinated general Qassem Soleimani.

    The delegation was led by Rabbi Yehuda Gerami, chief rabbi of the Iranian Jewish community. Representatives of other Iranian minority religions also made condolence calls.

    Members of Tehran’s Jewish community also attended the funeral, the Hebrew-language charedi news website Bahadrei Hadarim reported.

    “Members of the Jewish community, like the rest of the Iranian society, are present and will stand for the ideals of the Revolution,” read a statement by Solomon Kohan Sadegh, a representative of the Jewish community, according to the state-run Iranian Students News Agency, or ISNA.

    Shortly after the US airstrike that killed Soleimani early Friday morning, the Jewish community also issued a statement saying that “God will avenge the blood of Soleimani,” the Israel Hayom daily reported.

    Jerusalem Post: Iran Jewish MP calls US assassination of Soleimani ‘a criminal act’

    ‘Members of the Jewish community, like the rest of the Iranian society, are present and will stand for the ideals of the revolution.’

    Representative of the Iranian Jewish community at the parliament, MP Siamak Moreh Sedq condemned the US strike on IRGC Quds Force commander Qasem Soleimani and said “no one can attack Iran’s national interests without punishment,” FarsNews reported.

    “The criminal act of the United States, which was the assassination of martyr Soleimani and some effective members of the resistance, demonstrates the violence and cruelty that cannot be accepted within the framework of human behaviors at all,” Sedq claimed.

    Representatives of the Iranian Jewish community visited the home of Soleimani to pay their condolences after he was assassinated in a US strike on Thursday night.

    One of the members of the Jewish community in Tehran told the Israeli haredi (ultra-Orthodox) news outlet Bahadrei Hadarim that “many Jews took part in the funeral” and that members of the community, including the chief rabbi of Tehran, visited Soleimani’s house to pay their condolences.

    Representatives of the Zoroastrian and Christian communities, also minority religions in Iran, visited the home as well, according to pictures posted by the semi-official Iranian Students News Agency.

    A letter by Solomon Kohan Sadegh, a representative of the Jewish community, stated that “members of the Jewish community, like the rest of the Iranian society, are present and will stand for the ideals of the Revolution,” according to ISNA.

    Rani Amrani of Israel’s Farsi-language RadioRan explained that it’s “very important” for Jews and other minority groups in Iran to condemn Soleimani’s death due to fears about antisemitism, according to Israel Hayom.

    “Often, during the protests [against] Jerusalem Day, the Jews go out and take part for fear of being attacked. In their hearts, they love Israel,” said Amrani. “They are in a situation in which they have to prove they have no links to Zionism.”

    If Iranian Jews were terrified of living in Iran, they have always been free to move to Israel, or anywhere else.

    No one stops them. In fact, Iranian Jews freely travel to Israel all the time for religious reasons and to visit family and friends who did permanently move to Israel — and then they go home. And, so far as I know, Israeli-Iranian Jews can travel to Iran.

    None of the Iranian Jewish community seem to support Zionism. They strike me as having the same kind of belief system that Netura Kartei and many Palestinian Jews have who have lived there for many generations, that the Zionist state is an illegitimate entity, and that it will be up to the Jewish Messiah to establish the true Jewish Israel.

    The Iranian Jews have lived there for over 2500 years since the days of the Babylonian Captivity. They understand themselves to be nationally Iranians, and patriotically, Iran is their homeland. They never experienced WWII the way that the European Jews did.

    While they may commiserate with the tragedies European Jews may have endured during the war, they just don’t relate to the whole $hoah Business at all.

    Study Finds Bots and MAGA Supporters Pushing #IraniansDetestSoleimani Hashtag

    Mint Press News

    A social media disinformation expert studied 60,000 tweets from nearly 10,000 accounts using the hashtag #IraniansDetestSoleimani and found that the most common phrases in those users’ biographies were “Make America Great Again” and “Trump.”

    by Alan Macleod

    The hashtag #IraniansDetestSoleimani has been trending on Twitter this week, as users voiced their opposition to the recently assassinated Iranian military leader Qasem Soleimani.

    The hashtag remained one of the most popular amongst users in the U.S. and Western Europe.

    But similar viral sentiment was not expressed across the Middle East, least of all on Iranian Twitter, leaving one to wonder, who are these Iranian Soleimani haters?

    The story became stranger still after Middle East and social media disinformation expert Professor Marc Owen Jones of Hamad bin Khalifa University in Qatar analyzed the trend.

    Jones studied 60,000 tweets from nearly 10,000 accounts using the hashtag and found that the most common phrases in those users’ biographies were “Make America Great Again” and “Trump” – not somebody noted for his support among Iranians, or Muslims more generally.

    He concluded that “once again that the online right wing MAGA movement is boosting the trend that seeks to indicate that Iranians actually hated Soleimani.”

    The evolution of a Trump lie: How we got from ‘imminent attack’ to ‘four embassies’ in 9 fact-free steps

    Written by Mark Sumner / Daily Kos January 12, 2020

    Sometimes deception generates a “tangled web,” other times just a hilarious mess.

    But Donald Trump’s war-triggering assassination and post-drone strike rationalizations show two things: one is how clumsily Trump shifts his lies from day to day, the other is how Mike Pompeo and Fox News hurry along in Trump’s wake, trying to paper over irrational statements with a thin veneer of claims that all fall apart on even the most cursory examination.

    This isn’t even how a little lie spawned a big one. This lie started big and it stayed that way.

    The only thing that really grew was how obviously Pompeo and others were willing to throw away any pretense of integrity to make it seem that Trump had a passing grasp on the facts.

    By week’s end, America got to see how Pompeo’s I-can’t-help-smirking-when-I-lie grin had grown larger than the Joker’s.

    1–Donald Trump was not supposed to assassinate Qassem Soleimani. Military planners presented it to Trump as the “far out” option under the silly assumption he would take a more reasoned approach.

    2–What those planners weren’t considering wasn’t just Trump’s disdain for reason, but his need to make a big gesture toward Iran to secure the support of Republican senators in his upcoming impeachment trial.

    3–So the mission went forward, with a pretense of “improving safety,” even though killing the Iranian general made the situation across the whole Middle East immediately, and obviously less secure.

    4–After initially stating that Soleimani was calling back to Tehran for authorization on a plan that threatened hundreds of Americans, Mike Pompeo continually shifted the target and tried to confuse “imminent attack” with retribution for things that were already past.

    5–When Congress finally got a chance to be briefed on the so-called intelligence behind the attack, even Republicans were shocked at the inability of the White House to produce anything to support their actions in the “worst briefing ever”.

    6–Then, days after the attack and stinging from complaints by Republicans in House and Senate, Trump dropped the idea that Soleimani had been plotting “to blow up the U.S. embassy” into an interview, while providing absolutely no evidence.

    7–With that new claim on the board, Pompeo hurried to not only try to support Trump’s claim by giving a long list of possible targets, including “embassies,” but flat-out lied by saying Congress had been told about the embassy threat in the briefing — which was quickly contradicted by those in attendance.

    8–Trump expanded on his freshly-generated claim at his rally, telling those in attendance that “Soleimani was … looking very seriously at our embassies, and not just the embassy in Baghdad,” forcing Pompeo to ramp up his lies to match Trump’s latest claims.

    9–Trump reaches into his bag of nonsense to come up with the idea that specifically four embassies were under threat by Soleimani.

    Your move, Pompeo.

    And it goes without saying that, at every step along the line, Fox News has been not just cheering on Trump’s latest claim, but out in front, making suggestions that Trump is underplaying the real threat and that only more attacks can bring peace.

    Whom have you killed? Christians love this hero.

    Read what one Christian has written in mourning General Qasem Sulaimani.

    Are you a Christian or a Zionist?

    This Christian Iraqi is addressing General Solaimani:

    The commemoration of the leader of the Christian resistance in Iraq, Ryan Chaldani, on the martyrdom of Major General Soleimani and Hajj Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis:

    “In the name of God, truth and resistance, I lost this dawn today, my dad’s soul was in you.

    You two, together, you were my father. Neither identity, nor name, nor trait can separate what the struggle has unified and has been baptized by martyrdom.

    Message to the souls of the martyr commanders, Abi: Haj Qasim, Abu Mahdi,

    [Will I not] address you from the [burning] heart[ache] of a son who lost his father?

    [Will I not] bless your testimony with the tongue of a student you taught striving for justice?

    [Will I not] inherit you from the pain of a resistance party you were the mainstay of?

    I stand above the enemy’s disgrace and glory,
    Above the rubble of cars …
    Hand on top of forehead … I can’t believe it.

    I who heard u pray & pray dozens of times on the front lines: O God, grant us martyrdom, & the good end.

    I am the one who knows that your soul boasts and rejoices in the heavens with the righteous, the martyrs & the justice seekers!

    You rejoice in the gardens of eternity, [riding like] a knight on a horse of glory, might, courage and struggle.

    But I am sad…

    The sorrow of the churches that you upheld their ceilings and prevented them from collapsing …
    The sorrow of the priests, monks, nuns and silos, which you preserved their honor and pushed back the blasphemous hands …
    The sorrow of the Chaldean and Syriac language that you championed, and the legacy that you strengthened us so we could protect and preserve them.

    I cry the same crying of all my people and all my family and all my country.
    I cry for every eye that has fallen asleep safely for years while you were on the fronts protecting it.
    I cry the same cry of a child who was left straying and drifting in the midst of crowding.

    Your orphan, I.

    When a terrorist extremist stood at the door of my house carrying swords
    Cutting necks
    Cursing women
    Raping girls … you came and struck him.

    I carried the banner of pluralism and protected Christianity, Oh you are Ibn Al-Hussein!
    They came to our villages to slaughter us, so you said to us: Your honor is our honor.

    The neighbor sold us and the brother betrayed us, and we found no one but you in the open embracing our pain, and armed us with strength and determination.
    We fixed our feet in our homeland when the project was displacement.
    I kept my church, my sister, my mother, my house, my environment, and how do I not cry over you? and cry over myself because of you?

    How do I lament and elegize you? Are we not except you?

    They thought they killed you.
    They thought they had exhausted you.
    But they woke us all up!

    Look, here are the brothers gather in anger boiling in their veins, will shake the tyrants from their thrones.
    Here we are preparing to turn the fate of the region, because you are a sacred offering, on the altar of Iraqi freedom.
    Your blood will drive Trump out indefinitely.

    America, which overthrew the rule of tyranny and settled like a snake occupying trees, stone and people, it is time to smash its head.

    Baghdad roars!
    Nineveh rings the Bells of the churches!
    Basra is rising!
    And all the capitals of justice seekers are preparing!

    In your name, revenge will have a new taste, and the world will see who your children are in every home in Iraq.

    What a ridiculous attempt CNN makes at painting US soldiers in Iraq as suffering “victims” of Iranian “aggression,” particularly the ones stationed in the American section of Al-Asad air base in Anbar province struck by the IRGC’s retaliation strike, like this army lieutenant colonel whiner decrying about how “extremely scary” it all was.

    1) Christiane Anampour (Mrs. Rubin) must have repeated at least 1,000 times, for months on end, that Assad was killing his own people to pave the way for war and killing in Syria to steal Syrian oil. The essence of propaganda is repetition.

    2) Veterans Today had a great video of Arwa Damon staging an airstrike in Iraq by filling a ditch with diesel fuel and setting it on fire and then dubbing in the sound of explosions. The cameras were in place an hour before the diesel fuel was ignited.

    That is a career ender in the world of real journalism. She is a complete fake as a war correspondent yet they keep using her. People like Jim Clancy and at least three others who made a very minor criticisms of Israel were immediately fired.

    3) Nick Paton Walsh is a persistent propagandist for the White Helmet terrorist group created by a fellow Brit who was just killed in Turkey. Israel asked Canadian PM Justin Trudeau to let the White Helmets immigrate to Canada and he agreed to importing these terrorists.

    Trudeau’s bagman is a descendant of the Sammy Bronfman organized crime syndicate. Two of the Bronfman sisters just pleaded guilty to being in a sex ring allegedly to keep from being cross-examined about child trafficking.

    4) I have seen video on the internet of Becky Anderson staging fake protests in the Middle East by handing out protest signs written in English so American viewers will know what the protest is all about.

    CNN’s journalists should be used in journalism schools all over the world as the perfect examples of fake news makers.

    Its great to see that CNN’s ratings persistently keep dropping but there will be enough money in the background to keep the place afloat even if it goes way into the red.
