    Israel Caged In The Muslim World

    Talk about a stupid idea.

    Plop a bunch of militant Zionist Jews into the middle of the Muslim world and you got a scheme conceived as an absolute blunder.

    You see, President Truman was resolutely warned by Secretary of State George C Marshall in 1948 that recognizing Israel would muddle America into a morass of troubles.

    And now it’s war with Iran, is it?

    Send the Ben Shapiros to fight it out, Mr Trump, not US troops.

    [Clip: “Mr President, on Iran, are we closer to negotiations or to armed conflict?” “Let’s see what happens with Iran. We are ready for the absolute worst. And we’re ready for sense, too. But we are very geared up.”]

    Geared to get smeared.

    [Clip: “Let the world hear me well. Mr Trump, his administration, and his intelligence agencies know full well that a war against Iran would not be limited to Iran alone. War against Iran means that the entire region would go up in flames.” “We respond to your call, oh Nasrallah! “We respond to your call, oh Nasrallah!”]

    These are battle-hardened Muslims who fought ISIS in Syria and are now prepared for a regional operation.

    These are Muslims with a mission, the offended with their Effendis, the insulted with their Sayyids. After all, the Middle East is their homeland.

    And US troops?

    They don’t have the pluck for this muck.

    [Clip: “The entire region will go up in flames. All the American forces and interests in the region would be annihilated. All those who collaborated and conspired would pay the price – first and foremost Israel and the Saud clan.” “We respond to your call, oh Nasrallah! We respond to your call, oh Nasrallah! We respond to your call, oh Nasrallah!”]

    With prescient eyes George C Marshall saw this coming at a glance.

    But with Jewish money filling Truman’s campaign coffers by the likes of Feinberg, Jacobson, and Blaustein, America stuck its feet into the quick sand of Zionist mischief, misrule, and gross mischance.

    And now, for the second time after 16 years, US troops are headed back to Saudi Arabia currently in cahoots with the Jewish State.

    What could go wrong?

    For nearly every single suicide terrorist attack is executed to send a message to foreign occupiers: “Get your military the hell out of here!”

    The American Century turned into Jewish Treachery and the American Stage into the Jewish Age.

    But one peep at the map tells a tale of calamitous grief.

    [Clip: “Let’s look at this map – this is occupied Palestine. This is the entity that is plundering Palestine’s land and that is known to day as “Israel”. Of course, the resistance can target this entire region, including Eilat. We used to say (we could target) anything south of Haifa, (and we were) referring to Tel Aviv, but today we say “anything south of Tel Aviv” and “anything south of Eilat.” If they have something south of Eilat, we will get there also, Allah willing. The entire northern (part of Israel) is within range of our (weapons), from any part of Lebanon. We can (target) the north whenever we please. All the information on ally these targets here — military targets, security targets, technological targets, economic targets, industrial targets, and so forth — it’s all here. But the important point I want to discuss is this coast. I want to show this to the public so they can see just how Israel is weaker than a spider’s web.”]

    No kidding.

    The Yids didn’t need a crystal ball to figure that one out.

    But send in the US troops and let them get zapped in the American taxpayer-funded Zionist death traps

    [Clip: “First of all, most of the Israeli settlers are in this area – a bit more than half of them. But look how many targets there are here. This is a 1,200 square kilometer area. This is nothing. It is a small area. We are not fighting a large state with lots of land and in which we cannot reach all the targets.”]

    Righto! Sun Tzu’s Art Of War said it all:

    “If you wait by the river long enough the bodies of your enemies will float by.

    [Clip: “All the critical government centers are in the heart of this area. The government, government ministries, the war ministry, the military leadership, the General Staff, Ben-Gurion Airport, domestic airports, air force bases, military installations with unconventional weapons, petrochemical factories, a nuclear factory — it is here. The ports of Tel Aviv and Ashdod, military and civilian industrial centers, major commercial centers, major economic centers, the stock market, central electric power stations, gas pumping stations, water purification stations — ninety percent of these are here. Oil refineries, oil stockpiles — it’s all here. What does this mean? Imagine that the resistance has, say, thousands or tens of thousands of missiles — I don’t want to give precise amounts — that can all reach this region. We don’t need to target the south of Palestine or anywhere else. We would use) some of the missiles for (targeting) the north, and the rest of them we would launch at this coast. Would the entity be able to withstand this? We’re talking about the Stone Age.”]

    And the cat swallows the mouse.

    And like a rat in a cage, the Jewish State with all its settlements, military installations, and synagogues, is trapped between a rock and a hard place.

    And that Jew-hardened place could be ‘smithereened’ back to the Stone Age.

    Lest we forget, for 40 years, Iran’s been preparing ‘regionally’ for the war that Jewmerica keeps threatening and Israel keeps pushing for.

    Come hell and burning sand, Israel will fight Iran down to the very last US troop.

    There is one drawback to the above narrative. Israel will nuke the entire Mid East.

    This explains why Jerusalem is still intact in Apocalypse at the end despite being split into 4 parts by an earthquake where hundreds not millions die.

    Arabs are stupid which means Iran is a sole player in the chess game without the aid of the bigger powers, all of whose interests are themselves alone, not Lebanon, not Palestine and not even Iran.

  9. Honorary Jew July 26, 2019 @ 4:17 pm

    Sounds like this war wouldn’t last 5 minutes without Kikemerica’s money, blood, and weapons.

    I’d say Jewsrael better watch out …

    Jews are blow hards.

    They’re like their American counterparts.

    God bless you, dear +BN.

    I’ll have a little extra cash this month, and I’ll be sending it along shortly.

    Thank you for yet another dynamite Video, this time featuring Sayyed Nasrallah.

    I believe it was Norman Finklestein who once said in effect that Nasrallah is very geopolitically astute with incisive analyses of events in the Middle East with his thumb always on the pulse of Israel.

    He also said that a vast majority of Israelis listen to his broadcasts as being far more reliable, credible, and accurate than their own news and propaganda media because his very frank assessments and warnings about what Hezbollah’s retaliatory actions to any Israeli aggression.

    They tune in to Lebanese mainstream news and party media, and especially Hezbollah’s, as only way they can learn the truth about what’s really going on with Israel and hostile relations with close neighbors Lebanon, Jordan, and Syria, and the Arab/Muslim world apart from Israeli propaganda, particularly given the tight control that the Israeli military censor has over Israeli news outlets and social media.

    Nasrallah is right. “Israel is a spiderweb,” and in terms of a large share of the population, a weak-minded psychological and moral mess.

    But it doesn’t mean that the stupid but cunning, vicious and arrogant Jewish state won’t give up their hubristic aspirations to launch a war against Hezbollah and Lebanon again to settle old scores.

    Hezbollah remains the one Arab force to have denied Israel Almighty a single decisive victory in the past three decades — the IOF’s 22 year occupation of southern Lebanon was forced to withdraw in 2000.

    Hezbollah again beat the Jews to a bloody standstill in 2006 after the Jews launched a very aggressive and invasive 6 week war against the Lebanese resistance, which included the widespread bombing of Beirut and civilian areas and infrastructure of Lebanon.

    While it might be true that “a fish rots from the head down” as the idiom goes, then in the case of degenerate, corrupt and slimey Israhell, the cowardly snake rots and stinks from the gut before its head.

    Press TV published a very interesting episode from their Inside Israel program on the 24th: ‘Israeli soldiers go AWOL’:

    A new report out of Israel has revealed that Israeli soldiers are being imprisoned for leaving their posts in broad daylight, and sometimes at night too.

    The Israeli regime has revealed that over 10,000 Israeli soldiers– that’s one in every 15 service members– spent time in a military prison in 2018.

    This episode is all about why military members in Israel run away.

    https://www.presstv.com/Detail/2019/07/24/601702/ISRAELI-SOLDIERS-GO-AWOL

    No wonder Bibsy is working even harder to woo deluded evangelical “Judeo-christian” Americans of the United Vassal States of Zion to do his dirty work, and why the US military and the IDF are becoming more and more enmeshed with “joint security,” including now a permanent Air Force missile defense base co-located inside of Israeli Air Force’s Mashabim Air Base in the Negev desert, west of the towns of Dimona and Yerucham.

  12. AJ July 26, 2019 @ 7:01 pm

    I keep hearing and reading how Israel is on its last legs and this and that.

    I will believe it when I see it. The Jews get what they want because they do what is necessary to achieve their ends.

    Maybe it’s time for Christians to stop being nice and adopt radical means to counter them. Enough about “Love and Forgiveness” and “fairness” when dealing with them.

    It’s not our fault that these people became our problem eons ago and continue to be.

    They are wolves and animals and need to be treated as such.

    The ‘Chosen People’?

    The ‘smartest race’?

    The jews in Palestine have had 70 years to make friends and peace with their neighbours yet instead they have deliberately stolen more and more land and killed more and more innocents and made permanent war in the Middle East.

    Despite my fervent wishes for a good outcome and Justice I do not think that the jews want this and are well prepared to use their 500 strong thermonuclear arsenal to create more chaos and ruin and murder.

    We are their Untermensch.

    They will kill our children and our planet in order to win the ‘Apocalypse’ for their toxic devil cult.

    They have stitched us up and despite being able to see what they have done we are now powerless.

    Without needing to say it, Nasrallah means to Israel that we’re ready for you now, for were you to attack us a fourth time, expect this from us, as we have no choice.

    This explains why Syria was instead attacked in 2011 by the serial proxies unleashed by Israel’s Al Qaeda, but which has now ended in failure, despite ongoing last ditch efforts in Idlib Province to try and make Syria and Russia look brutal and callous – pics of dusty kids amidst fresh rubble.

    Israel between the Nile and the Euphrates just isn’t going to happen — ever.

    So, what is?

    Now that heaven sent Boris is PM, it’s going to be a trifecta, because Trump, Putin, Boris, are going to come to a tacit understanding that all they need do is maintain a polite resolve, couched in highfalutin supportive rhetoric, to not fall for any of the serial provocations and false flags that Israel is always always spawning forth, then Israel will be forced to make permanent concessions to the Palestinians, making the 71 year gestation of Greater Israel stillborn.

    “Heaven sent Boris,” well maybe, but a prodigious rake with royal and Jew blood running through his veins is not every body’s idea of a heavenly body.

    U.K. Jewry like in the U.S. is endemic in government. Though UK Yid pedigrees are in a class of their own.

    Boris and his appointees being the good SHILLS as they are will no doubt work hand in glove with Trump’s masters.

    The so called Wahabi Moslim Saudi “royals” are all Jewish.

    So the petrodollar is a 100% kosher Zionist Jewish deal, and not a “Christian Islamic” deal.

    @All

    Yes, Br. Nate, Israel’s indeed caged in the Muslim World. However, it doesn’t push back its hubris one iota.

    Its longest holding PM – Bibzy Nutty&Yahoo – is a total psychopath who’s more than willing to take the rest of the world down with him. He’s stationed submarines equipped with thermonuclear warheads on their missiles in strategic areas wherein these missiles can be launched, if the Zionist Entity is destroyed.

    Nutty&Yahoo knows he can’t beat Hezbollah; that was proven in 2006, when the IOF invaders had their asses handed back to them in retaliation.

    He’ll try to bring in the US if he needs to, but DJT isn’t so cozy with him anymore and more likely to tell him, “Sorry, Bibi, but you’re on your own.” He’s had enough of Nutty&Yahoo’s treachery regarding Syria and is looking to negotiate a deal with Iran.

    KathJuliane, I completely agree with you. Your post says it all.

    Lugu, I, too, wish there was an English translation of the Talmud so that the entire world would see what the Jews are up to.

    The Axis of Weasels never gives up.

    The Jewish state is getting desperate, feeling the constraints of their geopolitical enclosure despite their bellicose rhetoric, and are working every lever that they can to cheat their hubristic way into getting their insanely covetous “decisive victory” over Hezbollah, even if it means murdering thousands and thousands of unarmed civilians.

    ~~~*~~~
    Israel Looks to Bolster Diplomatic Cover for New Level of Civilian Bombing in Lebanon
    Key figures in Israel’s government apparently believe that the grand scale of planned attacks on Lebanese civilians and civilian infrastructure will result in so much destruction and death that it will help to ensure an Israeli victory.
    June 28th, 2019
    During a conference hosted on Tuesday [June 25] by the Mossad-linked Shurat HaDin or Israel Law Center (ILC), Israel’s Public Security and Strategic Affairs Minister Gilad Erdan demanded that international laws on warfare be amended because current international law pertaining to warfare “serves terrorists.”
    Erdan claimed that groups like Lebanon’s Hezbollah use existing international laws of war “to destabilize the ability of democracies to defend their citizens” and “force [democracies] to fight against terrorists with their hand chained behind their backs.”
    The ILC’s director, Nitsana Darshan-Leitner, seconded Erdan’s claim but argued that changing international law is difficult, thus making it more practical to change how existing laws of war are interpreted, a task she suggested be performed by military prosecutors.
    According to the Jerusalem Post, the laws currently governing international warfare are aimed specifically at reducing the suffering of civilians and, as the Post article suggested, Erdan wanted to change these measures aimed at protecting civilians prior to the “next war” between Israel and Lebanon because in that war “Israel will have no choice but to harm Hezbollah rocket sites and Lebanese infrastructure.”
    Erdan’s argument hinges on the commonly repeated accusation by Israeli officials that Hezbollah uses civilians as cover for military operations, but a comprehensive 249-page study by Human Rights Watch found that not to be the case.
    In fact, the study found that even “a simple movement of vehicles or persons – such as attempting to buy bread or moving about private homes – could be enough to cause a deadly Israeli airstrike that would kill civilians.”
    Bolstering diplomatic cover for a coming war
    As MintPress previously reported, Israel’s government has been preparing for an imminent war with Lebanon and specifically Hezbollah — which is a strong political force in Lebanon, with the coalition of which it is part holding a legislative majority in Lebanon’s parliament — for well over a year.
    It has warned prominent U.S. Senators no only that it planned for a “bloody” war against Lebanon, but that the Israeli military planned specifically to target Lebanese civilians and civilian infrastructure, including residential areas.
    During a visit to Israel last March, U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC), a close ally of the Trump administration, stated that Israel’s Likud-led government was requesting “ammunition, ammunition, ammunition” from the U.S. government, as well as diplomatic support for when Israel strikes civilian targets — such as “civilian apartment buildings, hospitals, and schools” — because Hezbollah has become “integrated” into these structures.
    Prominent Israeli politicians have also made the case for targeting Lebanese civilians in the coming war between Israel and Lebanon. For instance, Naftali Bennett, who until recently was Israel’s minister of education, told Haaretz in 2017 that civilians “must” be targeted the next time Israel and Lebanon go to war:
    The Lebanese institutions, its infrastructure, airport, power stations, traffic junctions, Lebanese Army bases –- they should all be legitimate targets if a war breaks out… This will mean sending Lebanon back to the Middle Ages.”
    Past impunity expands to cover new atrocities
    Under existing international law, the bombing of residential buildings, hospitals and schools is a clear war crime, though this hasn’t stopped Israel’s government from bombing these same structures in Gaza with regularity in recent years.
    In addition, during the 2006 war between Israel and Lebanon, Israel’s military killed at least 1,109 civilians, injured over 4,000 and displaced an estimated 1 million according to figures compiled by Human Rights Watch. The staggering civilian death toll sparked condemnation from international human-rights groups.
    Thus, Erdan’s recent comments suggest that Israel’s government, in a war against Lebanon it plans to instigate under the guise of “preventative” defense, is planning to commit war crimes on a much larger scale than what was done in 2006 and is thus pushing for international law to be changed to accommodate those plans.
    However, Israel has long been able to avoid accountability for war crimes, especially following the U.S. adoption of the “Negroponte doctrine” to protect Israel from criticism as well as any punitive action taken by the U.N. Security Council in relation to war crimes committed by Israel.
    This makes it more likely that this current push led by Erdan to alter international law is aimed more at global public opinion, by redefining international law so that Israel could avoid being accused of war crimes for such attacks on civilians and civilian infrastructure in a future war.
    Part of the strategy in targeting Lebanese civilians specifically appears to be Israel’s strong desire to win a “decisive victory” against Hezbollah in this future war, as opposed to the humiliating defeat its military suffered in 2006. It appears that key figures in Israel’s government believe that the grand scale of planned attacks on Lebanese civilians and civilian infrastructure will result in so much destruction and death that it will help to ensure an Israeli victory.
    Though it is unlikely Israel’s effort will succeed in changing international law, it may change how its government interprets such laws — as Darshan-Leitner recently suggested — and use such interpretations to secure even more robust diplomatic cover from its more influential allies such as the United States and to more easily avoid the war crime label from international media outlets and foreign governments.
    Such a move may also prompt the Trump administration in the U.S. to do the same, particularly given the slew of recent pardons given to accused and convicted U.S. war criminals by President Donald Trump.
    US troops “prepared to die for the Jewish state”
    In addition, the U.S. military itself is likely to quickly become embroiled in this coming Israel-Lebanon war, given that head of U.S. Central Command (CentCom), Lt. Gen. Richard Clark, told the Jerusalem Post last year that IDF leadership (as opposed to American military leadership) would “probably” have the last word as to whether U.S. forces would join the IDF during a future war and that U.S. troops were “prepared to die for the Jewish state.”
    IDF Brigadier General Zvika Haimovitch responded to Clark’s comments by stating: “I am sure once the order comes we will find here U.S. troops on the ground to be part of our deployment and team to defend the state of Israel.”
    While much media attention has focused on the possibility of an imminent U.S. war with Iran, it is important to point out — especially in light of Israel’s comments — that Israel has been planning for over a year to go to war with Lebanon. Indeed, last year, Israeli officials told U.S. Senators Lindsey Graham and Chris Coons (D-DE) that “Southern Lebanon is where the next war is coming.”
    Yet, the push for war with Iran and the planned war against Lebanon may be related, given that Hezbollah’s Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah stated the following late last month [May 2019]:
    Any attack on Iran will not remain confined to Iran’s borders. The entire region will burn, leading to all U.S. forces and interests in the region being annihilated.”
    Here, Erdan, let me fix it for you:
    Erdan claimed that groups like Lebanon’s Hezbollah use existing international laws of war “to destabilize the ability of Israhell to launch a brutal, aggressive war of choice with impunity like they practice on Gaza for as Israel’s military-industrial testing ground for new glorious Jewish weapons of war” and “force the Jewish states to fight against the Axis of Resistance with our hand chained behind our backs, unlike what we get away with when we shoot 9 year old Palestinian kids in the head with live ammo.” There.     Press TV: Saudi Arabia on UN’s list of child-killing regimes for 3rd year [and so is the Jewish state]
    The United Nations has for the third year put Saudi Arabia and its allies in their military campaign against Yemen on the world body’s blacklist of child killers.
    According to a report by United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, in 2018, the Saudi-led coalition fighting in Yemen killed or injured 729 children, nearly half the total child casualties of the year.
    The UN chief’s report, which was presented to the Security Council on Friday, also states that Palestinian casualties caused by the Israeli regime, mainly its military, hit a four-year high in 2018.
    The report shows that 59 Palestinian children were killed – 56 by Israeli forces – and another 2,756 were injured last year.
    Guterres urged “Israel to immediately put in place preventive and protective measures to end the excessive use of force”.
    “I condemn the increasing number of child casualties, which are often a result of attacks in densely populated areas and against civilian objects, including schools and hospitals,” Guterres said in the report, produced by UN Children and Armed Conflict envoy Virginia Gamba and issued in Guterres’ name.
    The report does not subject those listed to action; however, it shames parties to conflicts in the hope of pushing them to stop killing children.
    Diplomats say Saudi Arabia and Israel both have exerted pressure in recent years in a bid to stay off the list, but no to avail.
    In reaction to the Friday report, Saudi Ambassador to the UN Abdadllah Al-Mouallimi claimed that “every child’s life is precious” to Riyadh, and questioned the sourcing and accuracy of the report, describing the numbers as “exaggerated.”
    His claims come as over 80,000 Yemeni children under five years have died as a result of severe malnutrition caused by the Saudi-led coalition’s aggression against the people of Yemen, Guterres cited a report as saying earlier this year.
    If Israel is attacked, then Israel can easily nuke the USA as with NYC 9-11.
    And then quickly and easily get away with putting this nuke blame onto Iran or whomever Israel freely chooses that Israel desires to be blamed.
    Must see: Hezbollah in Syria – The Necessary Option
    This Arab media video was originally published by Middle East Observer who write “We are a small group of journalists, academics and volunteers who have been producing English translations of media content related to Middle East politics, culture, and religion for almost 10 years now on YouTube.”
    Middle East Observer was producing quality informative YT videos on an irregular basis (due to lack of funding), at least until YouTube shut their channel down in March 2019, because:
    “We try to provide perspectives that are not usually covered by Western mainstream media, or if they are covered, are highly misrepresented, sensationalised, and distorted to suit certain editorial agendas. Our work is aimed at providing alternatives to, and challenging the Western mainstream media’s negative stereotypes and misrepresentations of the Middle East and its peoples, stereotypes that have been used as an instrument of power and control over this region for the last 200 years at least.
    “You know, we’re referring to the media coverage that makes the Middle East look primitive, irrational, violent, despotic, fanatical, and essentially inferior to the West. Through these depictions, Western media often implies that the ‘backward’ and ‘traditional’ values of this region need to be replaced by the ‘contemporary’ and ‘progressive’ values of the West.”
    Lost from YouTube with the shutdown of their channel was MEO’s publication with English captions of ‘The Necessary Option – Hezbollah in Syria’, a documentary film that aired in early 2016 on the pan-Arab Mayadeen Tv.
    The video, although somewhat dated because so much has happened in Syria since then after Russia entered the fray at the invitation of President Assad, is still relevant to understanding the regional dimensions of the Syria-Iran-Hezbollah-Palestine-Hamas Axis of Resistance to Israhell.
    Poaching from Wikipedia for quick notes:
    Hezbollah was founded in the early 1980s as part of an Iranian effort to aggregate a variety of militant Lebanese Shia groups into a unified organization. Hezbollah acts as a proxy for Iran in the ongoing Iran–Israel proxy conflict. Hezbollah was conceived by Muslim clerics and funded by Iran primarily to harass Israel’s military occupation of southern Lebanon and Beirut.
    Its leaders were followers of Ayatollah Khomeini, and its forces were trained and organized by a contingent of 1,500 Revolutionary Guards that arrived from Iran with permission from the Syrian government, which was in occupation of Lebanon at the time.
    Hezbollah’s 1985 manifesto listed its objectives as the expulsion of “the Americans, the French and their allies definitely from Lebanon, putting an end to any colonialist entity on our land,” submission of the Phalangists [Israel’s allied pro-Zionist ultra-nationalistic Lebanese Christian militias, mainly Maronite Catholics -Kj] to “just power” and bringing them to justice “for the crimes they have perpetrated against Muslims and Christians,” and permitting “all the sons of our people” to choose the form of government they want, while calling on them to “pick the option of Islamic government”.
    Hezbollah waged a guerilla campaign in South Lebanon and as a result, Israel withdrew from Lebanon on 24 May 2000, and the SLA collapsed and surrendered.
    [SLA – South Lebanon Army, also known as Lahad Army and De Facto Forces (DFF), was a Lebanese militia, dominated by Christians, during the Lebanese Civil War and its aftermath, until it was disbanded in the year 2000. It was supported by Israel, and became its primary ally in Lebanon during the 1985–2000 South Lebanon conflict to fight against Hezbollah.
    The Sabra and Shatilla Massacre was the killing of between 460 and 3,500 civilians, mostly Palestinians and Lebanese Shiites, of mostly unarmed old folks, women and children shortly after the PLO withdrew from Lebanon under the supervision of the Multi National Force, by a militia close to the Kataeb Party — Phalange — a predominantly Christian Lebanese right-wing party in the Sabra neighborhood and the adjacent Shatila refugee camp in Beirut, Lebanon.
    The Israeli advance over West Beirut in the wake of the PLO withdrawal, which enabled the Phalangist raid, was considered a violation of the ceasefire agreement between the various forces. The Israeli Army surrounded Sabra and Shatila and stationed troops at the exits of the area to prevent camp residents from leaving and, at the Phalangists’ request, fired illuminating flares at night.
    According to Alain Menargues, the direct perpetrators of the killings were the “Young Men”, a gang recruited by Elie Hobeika, a prominent figure in the Phalanges, the Lebanese Forces intelligence chief and liaison officer with Mossad, from men who had been expelled from the Lebanese Forces for insubordination or criminal activities.
    In 1983, a commission chaired by Seán MacBride, the assistant to the UN Secretary General and President of United Nations General Assembly at the time, concluded that Israel, as the camp’s occupying power, bore responsibility for the violence.[21] The commission also concluded that the massacre was a form of genocide.
    In 1983, the Israeli Kahan Commission, appointed to investigate the incident, found that Israeli military personnel, aware that a massacre was in progress, had failed to take serious steps to stop it. The commission deemed Israel indirectly responsible, and Ariel Sharon, then Defense Minister, bore personal responsibility “for ignoring the danger of bloodshed and revenge”, forcing him to resign.]
    Hezbollah’s military strength has grown so significantly that its paramilitary wing is considered more powerful than the Lebanese Army. Hezbollah has been described as a “state within a state”, and has grown into an organization with seats in the Lebanese government, a radio and a satellite TV station, social services and large-scale military deployment of fighters beyond Lebanon’s borders.
    Hezbollah is part of the March 8 Alliance within Lebanon, in opposition to the March 14 Alliance. Hezbollah maintains strong support among Lebanon’s Shi’a population, while Sunnis have disagreed with the group’s agenda.
    Hezbollah also finds support from within some Christian areas of Lebanon that are Hezbollah strongholds. Hezbollah receives military training, weapons, and financial support from Iran, and political support from Syria. Hezbollah and Israel fought each other in the 2006 Lebanon War.
    The documentary explored the possible reasons and factors that moved the Lebanese group Hezbollah to intervene in the ongoing war in Syria.
    I have located a mirror-site copy of MEO’s lost documentary and suggest it as a must see. It brings out the hidden Israel-US strategy of breaking the the back of Hezbollah’s resistance front in southern Lebanon by destroying Syria, and absolutely supports what Michael Mansur wrote:
    “Without needing to say it, Nasrallah means to Israel that we’re ready for you now, for were you to attack us a fourth time, expect this from us, as we have no choice.
    This explains why Syria was instead attacked in 2011 by the serial proxies unleashed by Israel’s Al Qaeda, but which has now ended in failure, despite ongoing last ditch efforts in Idlib Province to try and make Syria and Russia look brutal and callous – pics of dusty kids amidst fresh rubble.”
    Copy this if you can before its gone. I found the lost documentary mirrored on a very small politically incorrect YT site.
    Transcript:
    Interviewer: Who will pray at the Aqsa Mosque in al-Quds (Jerusalem)? Is it your eminence, your children or your grandchildren?
    Nasrallah: Well, first of all one’s lifespan is in Almighty God’s hands. But if we put this dimension aside, in my opinion, based on logic, time and the development of events in the region and the world, I am one who has great hope that I myself will pray in al-Quds.
    My words are based on logic. As for the unseen I don’t know, nor do I know how long I’ll live for. I’m saying logically-speaking.
    Interviewer: That’s what’s most important here, logic.
    Nasrallah: Yes…this is Israel…the problem Mr. Imad is that Arabs, in general, were absent. The problem is that not only did we have a “security belt” in Lebanon through which the ‘Lahad (Army)’ was protecting Israel, but we also had (many) security belts – in the form of Arab regimes – protecting Israel.
    If this entity (Israel) was left alone…this entity remains standing because of two (pillars), and not based on its own power. The first is the American & Western support, and the second is Arabs forsaking (Palestine). Not based upon its own power.
    As we said to Arabs in the July War (2006): stand aside, we don’t want you to fight alongside us, just leave us alone. That’s what we said at the time. We asked Arabs to sit aside, and not to conspire against the Palestinian people and the resistance movements.
    And I again tell them to sit aside, because they’re not doing so. They are conspiring and instigating and punishing…and I know that in most Arab states today, if someone collects money, not for Hezbollah, but for the Palestinian brothers, the Palestinian people and the resistance factions in Palestine, he’ll be thrown into jail, and not that his money is (merely) confiscated.
    Do not conspire against the resistance, sit aside as neutrals. Today Israel remains standing thanks only to American protection and support. And even America, if there’s willpower and readiness for resistance, then even it won’t be able to cross the seas and oceans to defend an entity that does not enjoy its own power.
    Meaning that if we put the second factor aside (the Arab role), and we set the axis of resistance into action, this existence (of Israel) cannot continue.
    ~~~*~~~

    May God grant Sayyed Nasrallah’s wish for himself, his children and grandchildren to go to Jerusalem and to pray at the Al Aqsa Mosque.

    And may God grant that I live to see it.

    American Herald Tribune: Phil Giraldi: The Media Is Reluctant to Report Israel Boasts of Killing Iranians

    It is rare that a high official in a government will admit that his country has been killing foreigners without any declaration of war or being subjected to an imminent threat, but that is exactly what Israeli Regional Cooperation Minister Tzachi Hanegbi has done recently, boasting on a Sunday morning talk radio show that “Israel is the only country in the world that has been killing Iranians for two years now.”

    Hanegbi’s candid admission of a policy that is a war crime included his description of how Israel “strikes the Iranians hundreds of times in Syria, sometimes admits it and sometimes foreign reports reveal it. Sometimes the chief of staff [reveals it], sometimes the outgoing air force chief [reveals it], but it’s all coordinated policy.”

    The interviewer then asked “what would happen should Israel get in trouble with Iran?” and Hanegbi responded that “You can see that the Iranians are very limited in their responses [to Britain’s seizure of their tanker], and it’s not because they don’t have abilities, it’s because they understand that Israel means business.”

    Hangebi went on to add that Israel is “very aggressive when it comes to our national security… We still didn’t see the Iranians backing off from their intention to entrench themselves militarily in Syria, and this campaign isn’t over. But they know exactly who to mess with, and who can be annoyed. We can’t.”

    The minister’s comments inevitably were not reported in the western media, which is reluctant to air anything that demonstrates just how irresponsible Israeli policies actually are.

    In the United States, in particular, the Jewish state is consistently portrayed as some kind of perpetual victim in spite of the fact that it is the only nuclear armed power in its neighbo

    The Iranian government did not respond directly to the report of the Israeli minister’s comments, but there was some mention on Tehran’s Press TV local broadcast, which noted that “This is how Israelis are freely and proudly talking about killing Iranians! Just imagine what would happen if it was the other way around!”

    Indeed. A boast by Iran that it had been very successful at killing Israelis would have produced shocked headlines in every European and American newspaper.

    Haaretz: Trump Is Playing With Fire at Jerusalem’s al-Aqsa Mosque

    Fueled by Trump’s peace plan, rumors are running rife that Saudi Arabia is muscling in on Jordan’s control of Islam’s third holiest shrine. The repercussions of interfering with a status quo that’s lasted a century could be explosive

    Rumors have run rife in the Arab and Israeli press that Saudi Arabia is seeking to displace Jordan as the sole custodian or “protector” of Jerusalem’s al-Haram ash-Sharif compound, in which the Dome of the Rock and the al-Aqsa mosque is situated.

    Those rumors are allegedly causing much anxiety in Amman. Those concerns are unlikely to have been laid to rest by a speech given this week to the United Nations Security Council by U.S. President Donald Trump’s Mideast mediator, Jason Greenblatt, who talked up the potential for “creative solutions [to Jerusalem’s status] that attempt to respect all three religions that cherish this incredible city.”

    Those rumors should also be a cause of anxiety on Balfour Street, given Saudi Arabia’s well documented record of support for international terrorism.

    But given the warm ties between Jared Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law and Middle East peace negotiator, and Mohammed bin Salman, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, such a reconfiguration can’t be ruled out – at least, until we see the actual details of the much-heralded and delayed “deal of the century.”

    Although King Abdullah II of Jordan should be vigilant about the sources of these rumors, he should not be overly concerned.

    Neither Saudi Arabia, nor Israel, nor any other Arab country can supplant – without Jordan’s consent – the special role that the Hashemite Kings have held in Jerusalem since 1924.

    Any Kushner and MBS agreement between themselves to recognize a Saudi role in Jerusalem would also be a serious violation of Article 9(2) of the Israel – Jordan peace treaty and the agreements and understandings reached between Israel, Jordan and the Palestinians since then.

    Nor would the Palestinian residents of Jerusalem themselves take kindly to a Saudi role in Jerusalem, especially following the Bahrain summit in which the Saudis enthusiastically participated but which went down like a lead balloon in Jordan, the West Bank and Gaza.

    Palestinians across the political spectrum want nothing to do with a Saudi role in the Holy City, and would be likely to put aside their other differences with Jordan to support Amman on this issue.

    In a few days’ time, 25 years will have passed since the Washington Declaration was agreed by Israel and Jordan that paved the path for the historic peace treaty concluded a few months later.

    The declaration is a fascinating document. Without it there would be no peace between Israel and Jordan today.

    The agreement was brokered by the late Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin and King Hussein through the liaison of their security services, as the two countries had no diplomatic relations. (An account of those negotiations appears in Efraim Halevy’s biography of his time in the Mossad.)

    One of the most important provisions of the Washington Declaration is Article B(3) whereby Israel pledged that it would respect the special role of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan over the Muslim holy shrines in Jerusalem.

    This provision was reproduced in almost identical form in Article 9(2) of the peace treaty.

    Since then there have been further understandings reached between Jordan, the Palestinians and Israel, regarding Jordan’s special role in al-Haram ash-Sharif/Temple Mount, most notably a 2013 treaty and the Kerry Understandings brokered between Israel and Jordan in October 2015 following a spate of unrest in Jerusalem.

    The rivalry between Saudi Arabia and Jordan dates to the 1920s, when Abdul Aziz Ibn Saud, father of current Saudi King Salman, deposed the Hashemites who had ruled Mecca for centuries; the grandfather of current Jordanian King Abdullah then established the kingdom of Transjordan and gained the custodianship over the Muslim holy sites in Jerusalem in 1924 in the wake of the collapse of the Ottoman empire.

    But Saudi Arabia has never controlled Jerusalem, whereas the post-mandate kingdom of Jordan administered the city from 1948 until 1967. In those years, many gatherings of Arab leaders were organized in Jerusalem and no Arab state contested Jordan’s special role over the Muslim holy shrines in Jerusalem.

    The only controversy that arose concerned Jordan’s claim of sovereignty over Jerusalem. While some states, including the U.S. and the UK, did not recognize either Jordanian or Israeli claims of sovereignty over Jerusalem, they did not, according to Kimberly Katz, a noted expert on Jordanian Jerusalem, ever contest Jordan’s special role in the Muslim holy shrines in Jerusalem.

    In June 1967, when Israel captured Jerusalem’s Old City, Moshe Dayan, Israel’s Minister of Defense, ordered that an Israeli flag that had been hung on top of the Dome of the Rock be removed. As Dayan recalled in his autobiography, “We had no intention of controlling Muslim holy places or of interfering in their religious life.”

    Israel’s decision to annex Jerusalem in 1967 was not recognized by the Jordanian Waqf. Rather than impose Israeli law in the compound, Israel recognized al-Haram ash-Sharif/Temple Mount as a kind of Jordanian-controlled extra-territorial enclave surrounded by Israeli sovereignty.

    The then-deputy mayor of Jerusalem, Meron Benvenisti, later recalled that: “The Muslim establishment was operating on the strength of its appointment by the Kingdom of Jordan and would continue to officiate on the strength of the same appointment and according to Jordanian law.” And so it has remained since.

    The status quo in Jerusalem has served Israel and Jordan well over the years. It has also been accepted by the Palestinian leadership in Ramallah, which closely coordinates all activities in al-Haram ash-Sharif/Temple Mount with King Abdullah.

    Any suggestion of introducing new actors into the equation would be playing with fire. For if Saudi Arabia is to have a role, then why not Morocco, Turkey, or Egypt?

    Unlike Saudi Arabia or Morocco, Turkey and Egypt have at least had a history of administering the shrines – Turkey under the Ottomans, and Egypt under Mohammad Ali, whereas Saudi Arabia and Morocco have never been masters of the city.

    Morocco’s claim is minor and tentative. For 700 years, adjacent to the Western Wall, there stood a “Mughrabi Quarter” for North African pilgrims, established more than 700 years ago, along with a waqf endowed by one of the kings of Morocco. The quarter was razed by Israeli forces to expand the area for Jewish prayer after the 1967 Six Day War.

    Saudi Arabia’s claim is connected to its status as Protector or Servant of the two Holy Mosques in Mecca and Medina (“Khdim al-aramayn aš-Šarfayn”). The significance of Saudi control over these holy places is connected with the hajj, the pilgrimage to Mecca, a mandatory religious duty for Muslims.

    Pilgrimage to Jerusalem, known as “visitation,” is not compulsory, but was a common practice for devout Muslims as a preamble to the hajj. According to Amikam Elad, a historian of the medieval Middle East, the tradition of pilgrims visiting Jerusalem in order to sanctify themselves for the Hajj dates back to the first quarter of the eighth century.

    Significant religious legitimacy is conferred on those who control the Muslim holy shrines in Mecca, Medina, and Jerusalem. This is why any attempt to change the status quo will be fiercely contested – and would internationalize and intensify the extant tensions over Jerusalem to cover a wide swathe of the Muslim and Arab world.

    And that’s not the end of the Pandora’s box of geopolitical and religious issues that would emerge.

    Would a “peace plan” providing for a Saudi role in Jerusalem, if it were accepted by Riyadh, imply that Saudi Arabia recognizes Israeli sovereignty over the whole city?

    The peace treaty between Israel and Jordan recognized Jordan’s pre-existing special role in Jerusalem’s holy shrines from 1948-1994. But recognizing a historically unprecedented Saudi role would be tantamount to recognition by Saudi Arabia that Israel has sovereignty over the city.

    That would nullify the express position of King Salman, the Arab League, and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, all of whom have made it abundantly clear that they do not recognize Israeli sovereignty over East Jerusalem.

    The Trump administration considered the scale of demonstrations in the Arab world in the wake of its recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital were over-hyped as predictions, and underwhelming in reality. But the repercussions in the streets of interfering with the status quo over Islam’s third holiest shrine would be far more ominous.

    @KathJuliane

    It should also be mentioned that this reshuffling of the Temple Mount control can only be all about the possible future rebuilding of the Holy Jewish Temple and protecting the near future new Jewish Temple on the Temple Mount.

    The Jews only want their version of the law of God, and that is that God wants his money profit making holy of holy animal sacrifices in God’s Holy Temple.

    This is proof that Christianity is true, since it is obvious to any sane person that God only wants mercy and not sacrifice.

    According to some authors the land that the Temple Mount is built on, did not exist as it is today when the first Temple was built, and that this Temple Mount land area was actually originally a very deep valley that was filled in with earth later to make this land area flat, and the valley was filled in long after the first Temple was built.

    In other words the Jews are making a very great error of not rebuilding the Temple again at it’s proper and correct Temple location.

    Israel Has “The Most Moral Army in the World”?

    The creepy French “intellectual” Bernard-Henri Levy gets it wrong

    PHILIP GIRALDI • JULY 30, 2019

    Eight days ago eleven Palestinian buildings containing seventy family apartments located in the illegally Israeli occupied East Jerusalem village of Wadi al-Hummus were demolished in a military-led operation by more than 1,000 Israeli soldiers, policemen and municipal workers using bulldozers, backhoes and explosives.

    Residents who resisted were beaten by the soldiers, kicked down flights of stairs and even shot at close range with rubber bullets. The soldiers were recorded laughing and celebrating as they did their dirty work.

    Occupants who did not resist and who held their hands up in surrender were also not spared the rod, as were also foreign observers who were present to add their voices to those who were protesting the outrage. The injuries sustained by some of the victims have been photographed and are available online.

    Twelve Palestinians and four British observers were injured badly enough to be hospitalized. The British reported that they were “stamped on, dragged by the hair, strangled with a scarf and pepper sprayed by Israeli border police.”

    One who was hospitalized described how Israeli soldiers dragged him by his feet, lifting him up, and kicking him in the stomach, while one soldier stamped on his head four times “at full force” before standing on his head and pulling his hair.

    Another suffered a fractured rib after “[the policeman] then stamped on my throat and others started punching my torso. It was a sadistic display of violence…”

    Yet another foreign observer was dragged out of the house, “…her hands were crushed so badly that she suffered a fractured knuckle on her left hand, and her right hand suffered severe tissue damage ‘which will be permanently misshapen unless she gets cosmetic surgery.’”

    Edmond Sichrovsky, an Austrian activist of Jewish origin, who was in one of the houses, described how Israeli forces broke the door down, first dragging out the Palestinians, “knocking the grandfather to the floor in front of his crying and screaming grandchildren.”

    Cell phones were forcibly removed to eliminate any picture taking or filming before soldiers began attacking him and four other activists.

    “I was repeatedly kicked and kneed, which left a bloody nose and multiple cuts, as well breaking my glasses from a knee in the face. Once outside, they slammed me against a car while shouting verbal insults at me and women activists, calling them whores.”

    The buildings were destroyed due to claims that they were too close to Israel’s illegal separation wall, with the Benjamin Netanyahu government citing “security concerns.”

    The families living in the buildings that did not have either the time or ability to remove their furniture and other personal items will now have to comb through the rubble to see what they can recover, if the Israeli soldiers will even allow them that grace.

    They will also have to find new places to live as the Israelis have made no provision for housing them.

    The homes were legally constructed on land that is nominally controlled by the Palestinian Authority (PA), a fine point that the Israeli authorities chose to consider irrelevant.

    When the Palestinians object to such arbitrary behavior, they are sent to Israeli military courts that always endorse the government decisions. And the Netanyahu regime of kleptocrats has made clear that it does not recognize international law about treatment of people who are under occupation.

    The buildings were destroyed a few days after rampaging Israeli settlers on the West Bank continued their campaign to destroy the livelihoods of their Palestinian neighbors.

    Hundreds of olive trees were burned on the West Bank on July 10th, a deliberate attempt to drive the Arabs from their land by making it impossible to farm, strangling the local economy.

    Olive trees are particularly targeted as they are a cash crop and the trees take many years to mature and produce. The Israeli settlers have also been known to kill livestock, poison water, destroy crops, burn down buildings, and beat and even kill the Palestinian farmers and their families.

    And in Hebron the settlers have surrounded the old town, dumping excrement and other refuse on the Palestinians shops below that are still trying to do business.

    It should surprise no one that the Jewish settlers who engage in the violence are rarely caught, even less often tried, and almost never punished.

    The ghastly Benjamin Netanyahu’s government has declared that what was once Palestine is now a country called Israel and it is only for Jews. Killing a Palestinian by a Jewish Israeli is considered de facto to be a misdemeanor.

    And meanwhile the carnage continues in Gaza, with the death toll of unarmed demonstrating Palestinians now at more than 200 plus several thousand wounded, many of them children and medical workers.

    Recently, orders to the Israeli army snipers direct them to shoot demonstrators in the ankles so they will be crippled for life.

    This is what it takes to be the “most moral army” in the world as defined by French fop pseudo intellectual Bernard-Henri Levy, demonstrating only yet again that the tribe knows how to stick together.

    But the war crimes carried out by Israel also require unlimited support from the United States, both in money and political cover to allow it all to happen.

    Israel would not be killing Palestinians with such impunity if it were not for the green light from Donald Trump and his settler-loving mock Ambassador David Friedman backed up by a congress that seems to cherish Israelis more than Americans.

    How is it that the horrific treatment of the Palestinians by the Israelis as aided and abetted by the worldwide Jewish diaspora is not featured in headlines all over the world?

    Why isn’t my government with its highly suspect but nevertheless declared agenda of bringing democracy and freedom to all saying anything about the Palestinians? Or condemning Israeli behavior as it once did regarding South Africa?

    Can one even imagine what The New York Times and Washington Post would be headlining if American soldiers and police were evicting and beating the residents of a housing project in a U.S. city?

    But somehow Israel always gets a pass, no matter what it does and politicians from both parties delight in describing how the “special relationship” with the Jewish state is cast in stone.

    In the wake of the home demolitions, Washington yet again shielded Israel from a United Nations censure for its behavior by casting a Security Council veto.

    The Jewish state is consequently never held accountable for its bad behavior, and let us be completely honest, Israel is the ultimate rogue regime, dedicated to turning its neighbors into smoking ruins with U.S. assistance.

    It is evil manifest and it is not in America’s own interest to continue to be dragged down that road.

    Al Ahed News: ‘Israeli’ Regime Summons 3-Year Old Palestinian Boy ‘for Interrogation’

    By Staff, Agencies

    In the latest violation of the International Convention on the Rights of the Child, ‘Israeli’ occupation authorities on Monday issued a summons for a 3-year-old child to be brought to the occupied al-Quds [Jerusalem] police station for interrogation.

    During an invasion of al-‘Isawiya neighborhood in occupied al-Quds Monday night, the ‘Israeli’ enemy forces stormed the home of 3-year old Mohammad Rabi ‘Alian, and handed a summons to his parents for him to appear the following day for interrogation about possible ‘stone throwing.’

    At the time of the summons, dozens of Palestinian residents of al-‘Isawiya accompanied the small boy to the interrogation center, holding a protest outside while he headed in to be interrogated by the Zionist police.

    The Palestinian Prisoners Society called for an investigation into the incident, which they called a blatant example of the occupation’s criminality against children.

    The head of the Commission, Maj. Gen. Kadri Abu Bakr, condemned the enemy’s authorities for summoning the 3-year old child, stressing that the occupation is committing open and clear crimes against minors.

    Abu Bakr added that Palestinian childhood is in grave and constant danger in light of the silence of the international community towards ‘Israeli’ violations of international law and the global convention on children’s rights.

    He stressed that the ‘Israeli’ occupation authorities have stepped up their targeting of occupied al-Quds during the last few years.

    It was noted that there is an organized campaign against its people in particular, and that arresting them have escalated.

    Global Research: With Criticism Crushed in the West, Israel Can Enjoy Its Impunity

    By Jonathan Cook
    Global Research, July 29, 2019

    Recent events have shone a spotlight not only on how Israel is intensifying its abuse of Palestinians under its rule, but the utterly depraved complicity of western governments in its actions.

    The arrival of Donald Trump in the White House two-and-a-half years ago has emboldened Israel as never before, leaving it free to unleash new waves of brutality in the occupied territories.

    Western states have not only turned a blind eye to these outrages, but are actively assisting in silencing anyone who dares to speak out.

    It is rapidly creating a vicious spiral: the more Israel violates international law, the more the West represses criticism, the more Israel luxuriates in its impunity.

    This shameless descent was starkly illustrated last week when hundreds of heavily armed Israeli soldiers, many of them masked, raided a neighbourhood of Sur Baher, on the edges of Jerusalem. Explosives and bulldozers destroyed dozens of homes, leaving many hundreds of Palestinians without a roof over their heads.

    During the operation, extreme force was used against residents, as well as international volunteers there in the forlorn hope that their presence would deter violence. Videos showed the soldiers cheering and celebrating as they razed the neighbourhood.

    House destructions have long been an ugly staple of Israel’s belligerent occupation, but there were grounds for extra alarm on this occasion.

    Traditionally, demolitions occur on the two-thirds of the West Bank placed by the Oslo accords temporarily under Israeli control. That is bad enough: Israel should have handed over what is called “Area C” to the Palestinian Authority 20 years ago. Instead, it has hounded Palestinians off these areas to free them up for illegal Jewish settlement.

    But the Sur Baher demolitions took place in “Area A”, land assigned by Oslo to the Palestinians’ government-in-waiting – as a prelude to Palestinian statehood. Israel is supposed to have zero planning or security jurisdiction there.

    Palestinians rightly fear that Israel has established a dangerous precedent, further reversing the Oslo Accords, which can one day be used to justify driving many thousands more Palestinians off land under PA control.

    Most western governments barely raised their voices. Even the United Nations offered a mealy-mouthed expression of “sadness” at what took place.

    A few kilometres north, in Issawiya, another East Jerusalem suburb, Israeli soldiers have been terrorising 20,000 Palestinian residents for weeks. They have set up checkpoints, carried out dozens of random night-time arrests, imposed arbitrary fines and traffic tickets, and shot live ammunition and rubber-coated steel bullets into residential areas.

    Ir Amim, an Israeli human rights group, calls Issawiya’s treatment a “perpetual state of collective punishment” – that is, a war crime.

    Over in Gaza, not only are the 2 million inhabitants being slowly starved by Israel’s 12-year blockade, but a weekly shooting spree against Palestinians who protest at the fence imprisoning them has become so routine it barely attracts attention any more.

    On Friday, Israeli snipers killed one protester and seriously injured 56, including 22 children.

    That followed new revelations that Israeli’s policy of shooting unarmed protesters in the upper leg to injure them – another war crime – continued long after it became clear a significant proportion of Palestinians were dying from their wounds.

    Belatedly – after more than 200 deaths and the severe disabling of many thousands of Palestinians – snipers have been advised to “ease up” by shooting protesters in the ankle.

    B’Tselem, another Israeli rights organisation, called the army’s open-fire regulation a “criminal policy”, one that “consciously chose not to regard those standing on the other side of the fence as humans”.

    Rather than end such criminal practices, Israel prefers to conceal them. It has effectively sealed Palestinian areas off to avoid scrutiny.

    Omar Shakir, a researcher for Human Rights Watch, is facing imminent deportation, yet more evidence of Israel’s growing crackdown on the human rights community.

    A report by the Palestinian Right to Enter campaign last week warned that Israel is systematically denying foreign nationals permits to live and work in the occupied territories, including areas supposedly under PA control.

    That affects both foreign-born Palestinians, often those marrying local Palestinians, and internationals. According to recent reports, Israel is actively forcing out academics teaching at the West Bank’s leading university, Bir Zeit, in a severe blow to Palestinian academic freedom.

    Palestinian journalists highlighting Israeli crimes are in Israel’s sights too. Last week, Israel stripped one – Mustafa Al Haruf – of his Jerusalem residency, tearing him from his wife and young child. Because it is illegal to leave someone stateless, Israel is now bullying Jordan to accept him.

    Another exclusion policy – denying entry to Israel’s fiercest critics, those who back the international boycott, divestment and sanctions (BDS) movement – is facing its first challenge.

    Two US congresswomen who support BDS – Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib, who has family in the West Bank – have announced plans to visit.

    Israeli officials have indicated they will exempt them both, apparently fearful of drawing wider attention to Israel’s draconian entry restrictions, which also cover the occupied territories.

    Israel is probably being overly cautious. The BDS movement, which alone argues for the imposition of penalties on Israel until it halts its abuse of Palestinians, is being bludgeoned by western governments.

    In the US and Europe, strong criticism of Israel, even from Jews – let alone demands for meaningful action – is being conflated with antisemitism. Much of this furore seems intended to ease the path towards silencing Israel’s critics.

    More than two dozen US states, as well as the Senate, have passed laws – drafted by pro-Israel lobby groups – to limit the rights of the American public to support boycotts of Israel.

    Anti-BDS legislation has also been passed by the German and French parliaments.

    And last week the US House of Representatives joined them, overwhelmingly passing a resolution condemning the BDS movement. Only 17 legislators demurred.

    It was a slap in the face to Omar, who has been promoting a bill designed to uphold the First Amendment rights of boycott supporters.

    It seems absurd that these curbs on free speech have emerged just as Israel makes clear it has no interest in peace, will never concede Palestinian statehood and is entrenching a permanent system of apartheid in the occupied territories.

    But there should be no surprise. The clampdown is further evidence that western support for Israel is indeed based on shared values – those that treat the Palestinians as lesser beings, whose rights can be trampled at will.

    American Herald Tribune: Israel’s Reliance on the NSA in Its War on Hizbullah

    Israel’s war on Hizbullah/Lebanon in 2006 was a disaster even before it began. On July 14, Hizbullah fighters ambushed two Israeli Humvees patrolling along the armistice line.

    The ambush had been well-prepared, preceded by attacks on military outposts that cut off communications with the convoy. The two Humvees were destroyed, three soldiers were killed and the two who were captured later died of their wounds.

    In line with the Israeli military’s ‘Hannibal directive,’ according to which attempts must be made to rescue captured soldiers even at the risk to their lives, a Merkava tank and armored personnel carriers, covered by a helicopter, were sent into Lebanon.

    This mission ended in disaster when the tank ran over a 300-kg IED and was blown up, four more soldiers being killed.

    The ambush was the trigger for the war which followed. All of Israel’s wars in the Middle East have to be regarded as joint Israeli-US operations and this one was no exception.

    The US held the door open for 34 days, giving Israel far more time than it said it needed to destroy Hizbullah, but even this was not enough. Humiliated, it finally had no option but to withdraw.

    A recently released classified US cable underscores the nature of US-Israeli cooperation during the war.

    Posted online in the Snowden archive, it is dated October 12, 2006, and was written by an NSA (National Security Agency) staffer assigned as a temporary SIGINT (Signals Intelligence) liaison officer to Tel Aviv from early July to August, 2006, covering the entire period of the war.

    The despatch – written for in-house reading – is a summary of the interaction between the US and Israeli intelligence units.

    It begins by noting that ISNU (Israeli SIGINT National Unit or Unit 8200) is a sophisticated and technically advanced partner and goes on to describe the Zionist state’s two objectives in going to war.

    One was to “obliterate” Hizbullah’s capacity to carry out cross-border raids and simultaneously effect the return of the two “kidnapped” (captured) soldiers and the other was to cause such damage as to turn the Lebanese civilian population against Hizbullah.

    This would be no easy task, it was admitted, as Israel’s withdrawal from the occupied south had given Hizbullah time to strengthen its positions.

    The Israeli military estimated that it would be facing 3000-4000 Hizbullah fighters in the south.

    It believed the war could be won in seven to ten days. Its early attacks were limited to search and destroy missions, but what it found in this period was that Hizbullah was “well dug-in, extremely motivated and much better equipped and prepared to withstand that type of limited military operation.”

    Hizbullah’s logistical apparatus was “hard to identify” and its ability to blend into the civilian population “even more problematic.” (In fact, Hizbullah was defending towns and villages which the Israeli forces were attacking).

    To drive the point home, the ISNU liaison office in Washington provided the NSA with helicopter gunship photos of Hizbullah missile launching points “near populated civilian areas.”

    With Israel unable to win the war within its own time frame, its signals intelligence unit was “pushed to the technical and resource limits to support the IDF campaign.”

    The unit’s commanding officer, Brigadier-General Dani Harari, eventually called in all personnel for a review in which he “characterized the fighting as a type of war Israel had never seen before and cautioned ISNU to prepare for a long engagement.”

    By this stage, hundreds of reservists had been called up to take up positions at ISNU headquarters or were being moved forward to military positions in the north.

    The US SIGINT officer notes that the war took a “somber turn” when “several members of the ISNU ELINT [electronic intelligence] center were killed during the missile strike on the Israeli warship Hanit.”

    This appears to be a revelation, as the Israeli government and the mainstream media referred only to four “crew members” who had been killed when the ship was hit on July 14.

    What was concerning Israel at this stage was whether Hizbullah had acquired and might use long-range missiles against Tel Aviv or Jerusalem.

    If this happened, the military would regard Hizbullah as the “firing pin” and Iran as actually pulling the trigger. With Israel soon bogged down, it put greater pressure on the NSA for assistance.

    In the words of the US liaison officer “ISNU’s reliance on NSA was demanding and centered on requests for sensitive tasking, including tactical ELINT and receipt of geolocational information on Hizballah [sic.] elements … the latter request was particularly problematic and I had several late-night, sometimes tense, discussions with ISNU detailing NSA’s legal prohibitions on providing information that could be used in targeted killings.

    “Even with his full understanding of the US statutes, BG Harari sought assistance from NSA for an exemption to this legal policy. To ISNU this prohibition was contrary not only to support Israel in its fight against Hizbullah but overall to support the US Global War on Terrorism.”

    During its onslaught on Lebanon in 1982, Israel hunted down Yasser Arafat from house to house in Beirut.

    Ariel Sharon regretted that he had not succeeded in having him killed then, a lost opportunity retrieved in 2004 when almost certainly he personally arranged the murder of the Palestinian leader.

    Now, in 2006, during another war, there was one particular individual Israel wanted to assassinate, with help from the US.

    It could have been any senior Hizbullah figure, but the obvious choice would have been Hasan Nasrallah. With or without formal US support, Israel went ahead.

    In 2009 former Israeli army chief of staff Dan Halutz admitted that Israel had tried to kill Nasrallah in 2006 but had failed.

    In the end, the NSA staffer observes, a new “framework” was reached that defined the parameters and methods of what could and could not be shared with the Israelis.

    Expecting the ISNU to be operating at fever pitch and “more aggressive than usual,” the staffer found “that was the case” during discussions with the Israeli unit.

    In an April, 2007 review of the “information-sharing” experience with the Israeli intelligence unit, the NSA noted that the Israelis experienced “high anxiety” during the fighting and were heavily reliant on the US agency.

    One slide shown during the presentation read: “What did ISNU want? Everything!” (‘Israel relied heavily on NSA during the 2006 Lebanon war, new Snowdon documents reveal,’ Times of Israel, June 1, 2019).

    In a second cable, the NSA liaison officer in Tel Aviv said that while life there appeared to be normal during the war, “one visible sign of distress was the lack of hotel rooms as large numbers of people from the north migrated to the safety of the cities.”

    Residents were warned that they had less than a minute to take shelter in a basement during a missile attack.

    With Israel withdrawing after 34 days, the Israeli media quoted defense intelligence director Amos Yadlin, “a frequent visitor to the NSA,” as saying that further confrontation with Hizbullah would only be a matter of time.

    Other Israeli officers said that the ceasefire simply meant that “round one” was over.

    In fact, it was not round one, but round two, following Israel’s retreat from southern Lebanon, except for the Shaba’a farms, after a round that had lasted from 1978 to 2000.

    (After its invasion of 1978, code-named Operation Litani, Israel retreated from the south only after setting up its puppet South Lebanon Army of occupation. In 1982 it returned until it was driven out 18 years later).

    Since 2006, Israel has been preparing assiduously for the next round, its soldiers being trained to fight the kind of war the military did not expect last time. The exercises include fighting in tunnels and combat in mock Lebanese villages.

    The war also marked a change in recruitment and promotion patterns, as the military command looked for soldiers who would fight with the same zeal as Hizbullah’s fighters.

    In recent years the balance between secular and religious in the officer corps has been steadily tipping towards the latter, with an estimated 50 percent of officers in staff training colleges now coming from a religious background.

    Whereas secular recruits are looking for non-combatant roles, those from a religious background are volunteering for infantry units and in time are expected to hold down most ranks of the battalion commander.

    Their rabbis cast the war with Israel’s enemies as an eschatological conflict, with no mercy to be shown to civilians as well as soldiers.

    This is certainly consistent not just with the way Israel has fought all its wars, but in its ruthless general treatment of Palestinian civilians, as demonstrated yet again in the recent demolition of an apartment building in Jerusalem on the basis that it had been built too close to the ‘separation’ wall that is the manifestation in concrete of the apartheid practiced against the Palestinians at all levels in the Zionist super-colony.

    Palestinian families were tipped into the street with nowhere to go and no provision for their accommodation made by the Israeli government.

    They were beaten and slapped by soldiers when they resisted. Zionist colonists cheered as the building came down but as this has been going on for more than seven decades, it can hardly be regarded as a morally shocking aberration.
