Sabbatai Zvi proclaims himself the Jewish Messiah<\/p>\n

in Salonica. He leads thousands of Jewish followers on an exodus to Palestine. On the way Zvi becomes a Muslim. His followers saw this as God’s plan and also become Muslims.<\/p>\n
